Priority Bicycles Coast Beach Cruiser Review
Borrowed some Priority Coast Beach Cruisers for a week, and I put a quick review together. Overall, high-quality bikes with an innovative drive train which makes these bikes well-suited for salty, sandy coastal environments.

    I simply was not happy with the gps reception of my Bolt2. Literally no strava segments ever finished when there are trees at the side of the street and no gps-settings. It got outperformed by my old 520 in that department, which was just weird. And since I am back on Garmin I started to appreciate those training analyzing features.

      With the right gear and tire selection, it’s no problem. You’re also assuming people want to ride with a club and/or have access to a road bike. Not everyone does.

    In deed, you don't have to do this. I've been switch from this to that and finally i realize i just need a Garmin Fenix to record everything and I can have another bike computer whateven brand it is. I can just let my Garmin Fenix do everything, and combined with another device to do a double recording, that's more easy to manage. Just sell my old 1030 plus and get another BSC300 head unit, that's so fun to use another brand of head unit, and it won't ruin my complete training time line on my garmin connect. The watch can just stay in my backpack or in my pocket while dual recording. It's just still to small of mine Fenix 7X on a bike mount. And it's actually better than use both Garmin head unit and a garmin watch. It's actually more than one Garmin units, it is not very sync together especially you reliy on head unit mostly for riding and read data on watch. It's always something not really same.

    • @TheLankyCyclist
      @TheLankyCyclist 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@erbis.e I don't think you lose anything related to the activity though there are probably some less popular data fields (like the MTB stuff) that Wahoo isn't setup to record that wouldn't be included. I also know I used to have some issues with SYSTM workouts not getting factored into the training metrics but maybe that's been fixed. I'm thinking more the general health data: RHR, HRV, sleep metrics etc. I wouldn't think that would be in a fit file.

    The reason is quite obvious if you look at the biomechanics: your knee joint isn't a single point rotation, it actually slide and rotates. And all your joints are filled with cartillage that compresses under load. So you are trying to match a variable system who's geometry varies depending on the load it gets to a fixed bicycle system. There is no logic in thinking that the interface between those two can be and fixed and efficient.

    I would like to see more 2.8-3.2 inch fatbikes, it seems like a lot of the market skips straight up to 4-inch which is fun but unecessary for a lot of people, it doesn't feel like a bike anymore. I see a lot of 20x3 inch e-bikes, but I'd like to see some actual 26x3 inch and 27.5x3 inch bikes, to give that extra comfort factor without adding quite so much weight, bulk, and rolling resistance, and without looking like it's not a bike anymore.

    This is a 1986-87 with Oria tubing. It would have come with Campagnolo Triomphe groupset with maybe Gali rims, and would have retailed for about $600 as a entry level racing bike. Yours is a repaint with 1983 Olmo logos, which someone has scanned into a computer and changed Olmo for Dosi. Also, you meantioned you may think this maybe this is a time trial bike, its not. I doubt it was touched by Dosi. Small frame builders would have wanted to be part of the Italian bicycle demand and populartity during the 80s. He may have worked with an American distributor to stock small shops around the US. It may have been built for a racer, but not having number plate braze on, I doubt it. However, thats a good thing. Who wants a bike that has been raced? Enjoy your bicycle.

    It happened to me the other way around. I went from polar to Garmin, I had a 530 which I used for two years, until I changed it for a Bolt v2. I liked Wahoo for the practicality that it gives you during outings and finishing. I liked that it allows you to see and focus on what seems relevant to you, in addition to the alerts that remain on the screen and you can consult them until the route allows it (looking at the device is not easy when you are in competition or in a a technical place) I changed to a 540 and then to a 1040, the latter because I believed that the larger screen size would make it easier for me to take advantage of the function that Wahoo also has, but that Garmin calls Climbpro A couple of weeks using Garmin, on outings, training and competitions, I realized that it is not as efficient as Wahoo Although the 1040 has a larger screen, it is wasted, since the numbers turn out to be disproportionately smaller (a larger screen size is of no use), notices and notifications appear and disappear in seconds (as I said before, you cannot pay attention to pay attention to the screen at all times, so I didn't like that when you look again, the notification no longer appears - it seems relevant to me to know when the alarm goes off to eat or drink, or to know that I have traveled a certain distance) Finally, I did not like the freeclimbpro at all, because it limits you to personalize the screen and forces you to see a map that not all users find useful, in addition to the fact that the distance and remaining climb values are tiny (and in the action, indistinguishable) I think that each device meets the needs of each user, Garmin is well made and is very popular where I am from, but for me it is not

    Great video glad ive found you ,i love clipless cannot fault them ,but i had an accident nearly six months ago i dislocated my elbow and damaged my shoulder muscles ,i was negotiating a hill when i changed gear to start the climb my gears jammed for a split second causing me to lose balance i could not unclip fast enough and fell onto my left side ,i am only just thinking about nervously getting back on my bike now the arm is still painful im currently looking at the best flat pedals and a decent pair of shoes i cant risk another accident and the resulting months off work ,thanks for the video very helpful regards jay

      Feel better soon! I had an MTB accident last fall... same thing.. uphill and couldn't unclip fast enough when I got hung up on a root. Messed up my wrist.
