@@jonenri I still have it. Since this post I sold the OuterShell version and went back to the Burra Burra for more capacity… usually wrist rocket, snacks and jacket.
Looks like a great bag! I just ordered a medium hoping it will work out ok with my medium frame Trek FXsport 5. I can change up what sort of water bottles I carry, shorter bottle no doubt a better fit. Needed a bag that can carry my OR shell jacket, or a mid layer…..cold weather riding is coming here in the northeast!
Awesome video, i like your shirt (a big picture of rocket from gotg is hanging next to my desk) and the bag will be my next pick (i already have the timber bell). Its good to have someone like you that already spend alot of time exploring all the different brand and choices. makes it much easier. Also saw that you are an phd or professor? Whats your real job, if i'm alowed to ask? If not, just ignore that question and keep uploading nice content!
Ha! Different Tesseract (my shirt is from one of my favorite metal bands). Yes, I’m also faculty in mechanical engineering at a local state university. Thx for watching!
Ha yea, they're a small operation, but they keep up pretty well. I'd just put your email on the "notify" list and they'll tell you when stuff is back in stock.
Seriously looking into getting one in a size small. Is there any chance you know how far back from the head tube the height is measured at? I'm trying to map out on cardboard where the lowest part of the bag will be and it's the only measurement I'm missing.
3m protective film is what I used. 3M Clear Paint Protection Bulk Film Roll 6-by-25-inches www.amazon.com/dp/B00B3IXSMA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_VT4VKEQW1Q20GZXCFPRE (not sure if I can post Amazon links in comments)
Rub it in, will ya? In the PNW this time of year it is either raining, forecast to rain, or just finished raining so that the roads are wet. I also end up having to hose down the bike after every ride so I need a waterproof bag. What mini-pump do you carry? or just CO2 and a cell phone?
Haha. Again, but the riding in PNW is epic though! I use the Blackburn airstik mini for topping off sealed leaks and a co2 in case of bigger issues. Keep the phone just in case as well.
Hey! I noticed from the published dimensions that the bag will stick out a bit width-wise from the Diverge's top-tube. Did you notice any rubbing between your legs and the pack? Also, what's the largest bottle you can fit under that? 20oz or 24oz bottles? Thanks for the review!
It does stick out on either side a bit but definitely doesn’t interfere with knees. The bottles dimensions depend on not just the volume, but whether or not it’s insulated. I use the specialized purist style bottles (22oz I think) and they max out the space on a 52cm frame

I got the Comp Carbon. My thoughts are, for the price jump the swat storage and grx810 was worth the premium. Surprisingly, Future Shock 2.0 full lockout was not (comparing to FS 1.5 on my wife's Sirrus X 4.0).
@@albertyi2593 are you talking about the cranks and Levers, Sport carbon uses 810 derailleurs. I picked up my sport carbon from my LBS and ordered carbon wheels, as a tinkerer i think the sport carbon is great but Comp carbon is the sweet spot. That is until they increased all the prices on the models!
@@KabirBindra yeah, cranks and levers. I did also appreciate the fact that I could immediately go tubeless with the stock rims ... though this became a moot point when i splurged on carbon 700c's and 650b's.
I appreciate the detailed review, particularly on the sizing. I just bought the Outer Shell in Medium (Desert Camo) for my Salsa Warbird.
Great bike!
My owner cant decide between OS and Rouge Panda. Leaning toward Rouge Panda as they make custom sized frame bags fr the same price
Just mounted a small to my 2018 Diverge - perfect fit! Looking forward to testing it out. It's replacing the Specialized Burra Burra frame bag.
Nice! Solid choice.
@bobtilton do you per chance still have that burra burra? I’d gladly buy it from you

thanks for the video, I was looking at several bags and this wasn't one until now!!
Thx, Randy. BTW your spacers are packed and shipping out tomorrow morning!

@@TheBikeSauce do you have a good relation to the outershell guys? Since your video the bag you are mentioning is not available for ordering... :(

I hope this doesn't sound too weird.. I like those pants you have at 4:22,can you provide a link?
Lol. They’re basic Louis Garneau Fit Sensor 2 bibs and old Pearl Izumi thermal leg warmers

At 2:42 , under your fork, is that a crack?
Good lord you scared me. Haha. Got home and checked it out. Just mud from last ride
Thought the same thing
Hi, can you make a video on how to install the frame protection you got there?
Good idea
Looks identical to my Porcelain Rocket, also a good bag.
What kind of transparent tape do you use for securing the frame from getting scratches from the bag?

Oh definitely using the 3m stuff on all contact points.

Cut to size and round corners. Wet apply for more control or dry apply for simplicity
