And then you have the line "We never see that horse again and if there's any character I wanna know what happens too..." Which holy frick, Manny you didn't have to go that hard in the finale!
After the Darkwing Duck episode, I have complete faith in this series. I’ve never seen old beloved characters treated with so much care and respect in a reboot.
What the series finale does with Manny the Headless Manhorse retroactively made him the best character in the show in my opinion. Now THAT is how you do a reference to one of the best Disney shows of all time.
Damn you David Tennant and your amazing acting ability invading my childhood. Doctor Who, TMNT, Harry Potter, and now DuckTales. You will never leave. You will never leave!

Isagail You may not care for it but as an 80's child, I actually like the new my little pony cartoon over the original. That's another case of a good reboot.
Isagail Ratchet and Clank (2016), Spectacular Spiderman, Marvel's Spiderman Homecoming, Marvel's Spiderman videogame (not related to the show or movie), Ducktales.
Huh? Why? I was hollering with glee :D THAT was unexpected and new and ... brilliant. I mean Donald as presumably competent and adventurous sidekick already was kind of a new spin, but the idea that his sister in her youth was the third in their adventures, that had impact. Jaw hits the floor... My jaw had no time for that. It was already bound up in a giant grin.
The mother of huey, dewey and louie is Della Duck. She 's been introduced in Don Rosa masterpiece The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/5/58127/2082411-l_us.jpg
@Feno 3000 Probably because since the Don Rosa comics (where they showed their mother as a child), no one has seen her, nor was she ever mentioned. There have been many theories and stories about what has been thought to happen to her, but maybe this will finally answer some of those theories.
They won't take notes until something happens and Christina Miller is no longer their executive. But hey at least kiddies can occupy their channel while grown up kiddies will watch DuckTales reboot on Disney XD!
Fun fact, we DO see that horse again. Look up the episode, "Beware the B.U.D.D.Y. System!" Not only to we see the return of the Headless Man-Horse, we also get LIN-MANEUL MIRANDA AS GOD DAMN FENTON CRACKSHELL....Oh, and also something something Darkwing Duck reference.
Sam Butler should I also mention that there is a Darkwing Duck-centered episode where it is a clever satire on reboots and superhero movies, and managed to have Jim Cummings and a surprise Drake Mallard appearance?
Whenever a show has anthropomorphic animals and "regular" animals i always figured it's similar to how we have humans and monkeys. That they both came from the same ancestor but haven't evolved that far from each other
@@nightmareeclipse8383 you means apart from the who biped vs quadruped thing and the whole opposable thumbs, and also vocal cords? yeah it so hard to tell them apart
It baffles me how people dare to call this animation style "cheap" and "lazy" just because it is made with computers. Of course they cut some corners with tweening and such but this is still very well executed animation. The old cell animation had it's own limitations too you know? Or maybe by "style" people mean just the way the characters are drawn. In that case it's just a matter of opinion. It doesn't take any less effort to draw a character in this style than the other. There is no objective answer as to which style is "better". I prefer the new look over the original but that is just my own opinion.
Gosh, thank you Sillis (big fan of your work)! I'm sick of all this baseless complaining about animation and art style, and I totally agree with everything you said. I personally LOVE the new style, and think the triplets (in the original) formerly had somewhat TERRIFYING designs! -Paintspot Infez Wasabi! Like if you agree Reply if you've heard of me
Cloud 兵士 Actually just the Powerpuff Girls. Ben 10 actually grew on me. Especially after the finale for season one. Leave it to Vilgax to make Ben 10 go from a generic action show to a show worth coming back to.
The reason for that is simple: There have already been too many Ben 10s, so it's obviously just a cash grab. Also, the new PPG was made by people who absolutely didn't understand what made the original work. (That, and trying to included internet humor severally cringe-a-fies and dates any show attempts it.)
Fun Fact: since the triplets introduction Disney forbid anyone to ever talk or mention Louey, Dewey and Huey's parents in both the comics and cartoons despite them being in the Duck family tree, and the first piece of plot/story arc we see in this reboot is a clue about the triplets mom, holy shit! ❤
I'm not trying to heckle, but where do you know this from? I'm curious, 'cause I've never heard this. Besides that, Della Duck has been mentioned several times before in comics and cartoons - I mostly remember her from Don Rosa's version of the McDuck family tree, and from the original cartoon that introduced the triplets. Their father is more obscure though, and as far as I know, haven't had a real appearance before. Anyway, I'm just curious about the fact you mentioned.
I agree with the Critic's take on the new Ducktales.....I REALLY did not want to like this show. I LOVED the original show and I did not think anything new could best it. I am 7 episodes in, and I have to admit, I was wrong. There are elements of the new show that are actually BETTER than the old show. Its not some lazily written, badly animated cash-grab like I thought it was going to be....its a genuinely funny, very creatively written adventure that not only brings back everything I loved about the old show, it makes some things BETTER and brings to light things that I have wanted to know....like who WERE the boy's parents? The new Webby is HILARIOUS. She is SO much better than that sugar-coated bubble that the old one was. The new Scrooge actually has a really good character and sense of humor. i like that they give the boys their own personalities....how they make Huey a nerd, Dewey so curious and Louie just chillin and watching the drama unfold. I would highly recommend this show.
Old hewy dewy and Louie were much better now the only one that makes me laugh is Louie. They were funny when they pulled pranks on Donald in the 40's Donald Duck cartoons
I miss cartoony hewy dewy and louie cartoony shows are way better than shows where they stand around and talk all day the 40's Donald Duck cartoons were the best new Hewy Dewy and Louie are second best.
I just finished the season, and I was blown away. The loving homages to the original are always so great, without feeling like they are just pandering to the audience; you can tell the creators of this one are huge fans of the original. I love that each of the boys get episodes dedicated to themselves, while still feeling like a team. The emotional moments have such an impact, while not pulling from the humorous or adventurous moments of the show at all. This is a reboot done right.
And he sounds near IDENTICAL to the original. But he gives Scrooge a legitimate Scottish accent given that Scrooge is Scottish. I wonder how many have started watching because of him? I'm a fan of his, and the original Ducktales and think he was an ABSOLUTE PERFECT choice for Scrooge.
Skelebro Whovian yes becuase he was the worst docter I hate him h is to never be mentioned as a docter he's always serious while pepole le David and may smith are more comedic and likable which makes it more powerful when there serious I was never wel to do that with him
@@FlyBoyEnterprises Really, I didn't start watching the show because Scrooge is voice-acted by David Tennant. In fact, I was kinda worried because I was so used to Alan Young. But the second Scrooge started talking, I just said, "Never mind; he's perfect." XD
How is it that Disney, Netflix and Nick are doing more successfully in their reboots. But Cartoon Network, once the "best place for cartoons" is failing miserably at it? CN created Titans Go, Netflix releases an updated Voltron...and succeeds. CN reboots Powerpuff Girls in the worst way possible. While Nick updates Ninja Turtles in the BEST way possible. CN reboots Ben 10...FOR LIKE, THE ELEVENTEENTH TIME! Disney brings us Ducktales and succeeds in their reboot. So much so that Season Two has already been ordered. WTF Christina Miller, why are you failing at your reboots so much?!
Okay, first of all. Ben 10 has only been rebooted once. Alien Force, Ultimate Alien and Omniverse are all sequels that continue the same continuity. Powerpuff Girls Reboot isn't really bad, it just...is. I've seen all the episodes and it has its moments but is overall just okay. Ben 10 Reboot is actually really funny and knows when to be serious. It just needs time to iron out the characterization. Hasbro is good at reboots too. MLP is widely considered far superior to all previous incarnations and Transformers Prime AND Transformers Animated are both considered great reboots to their respective franchises.
sadlobster1 The funny thing is in the past they did do good reboots: Thundercats which was pretty much the Voltron Legendary Defenders of 2011. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe though that could be an exported show. Same could be said for the Real Adventures of Johnny Quest Transformers Animated: hey remember the time Cartoon Network actually aired Transformers cartoons? Justice League which was technically a reboot to the Super Friends (especially once Unlimited comes up). Young Justice which was technically a reboot to Teen Titans (also Teen Titans Go does not count as a reboot as that would be like saying DD Fist of the North Star is a reboot). Sonic Boom (the show) as I kind of find it to be the spiritual successor to Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Y'know, the show that Critic hates because its funny and random. Though saying Cartoon Network made that reboot would be like saying Nickelodean made Allllvin! and the Chipmunks. The Looney Tunes Show. Nuff said. Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated. Also nuff said. Wabbit and Be Cool Scooby-Doo. Actually those are two recent reboots that are actually good. And yet CN doesn't give them screen time and try to sabotage their production. Life sucks. Doethy of Oz . . . there were Wizard of Oz cartoons right? If thats the case then yeah this show . . . which is just recently made . . . and is actually pretty good . . . but only airs on Boomerang . . . life sucks. So yeah Cartoon Network seems to only do reboots right with properties they didn't originally create. As so far they all have been mediocre with Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10. Not Teen Titans Go since a) its not a reboot and b) its based on the Teen Titans show which was based on the Teen Titans comics by DC.
Donald's been hard to understand since the day he first appeared in cartoons. But, yes, it was kind of hard to understand him at times. I think they should subtitle him.
hm...i guess but I don't remember having such trouble with the old cartoons. and it i wasn't watching online i wouldn't be able to roll back and listen to it again. Less i got one of them new fangled DVR whatchamahoozits. Ha, maybe my ears are just getting old and I need to play more Kingdom Hearts.
You should know...That on an episode of Walt Disney Presents, Walt himself starred with Donald in a bit where Disney told him that he has received hundreds of letters to the show complaining about Donald's voice! So subtitles immediately start appearing below Donald when ever he speaks! Donald hates it and even chases the words away! Walt lets Donald off the hook a bit later since he does not want to embarrass his friend anymore. :)
I love the new style, it gives the show it's own identity separate from the original, makes it unique amongst other cartoons, while at the same time being a positive throwback to the Ducktales comics. Also I like how I'm not the only one who noticed the Roxanne cameo.
Craig Gibbons Pathetic animation? Where? This animation is fluid and extremely pleasent to look at. Oh wait, I see why you hate it. It's because it's different than the original. But just so you know, this DuckTales has more elements (including the animation) from the comics than the original. Seriously, you nostalgia freaks are getting on my last damn nerve. Critic at least can admit when something new and modern is good. You on the other hand are so blinded by your nostalgia that you refuse to believe that this generation can produce good and enticing shows
Still not ginger though :/ But good one :) I had a squee and my mind blown at the same time when he said it was David Tennant......and it sounds so funny hearing Scrooge talk like the Doctor would have talked. And with a Scottish accent too :) At least David Tennant gets to use his accent more often :)
3:04 Responce: Does Scrooge pick the diamonds out or does he leave them in? Are they special edible diamonds? Are those apples just out for display or does Scrooge actually eat them? Is Scrooge a special duck who can eat diamonds? Are the diamonds actually real? Why does Disney make me think so hard about apples? Why do I have so much free time on my hands?
To add: Is it a new kind of apple that grows with the diamonds in them to begin with, or does Scrooge actually decorate his normal apples with diamonds?
Due to the still sore and open wounds created by Teen Titans Go! and Powerpuff Girls, I didn't give this reboot a chance at first. But after watching that one episode where they were stranded on an island of Greek Legend, I was hooked. A reboot DONE RIGHT
Nick Miraglia I think that's pretty good. Every time they insert her, she is an Easter egg, meaning that they don't need to try to (and potentially fail to) redefine a beloved character from a different franchise.
Bryce Grant The scene itself is somewhat hilarious and sick but its also the fact that David Tennant plays a completely different character in a family-friendly show as opposed to the evil Kilgrave in the more adult show Jessica Jones.
A normal Guy It's like anything nowadays having to do with Disney is great and anything having to do with Warner Bros sucks. Yeah, I know the comments are going to list a series of exceptions, so go ahead.
I mean, CN does have plenty of good cartoons. They just don't use them. So yeah, it's possible that it will continue, but I hope it changes so that both are pretty good.
I LOVE the reboot of Duck Tales the animation is amazing and the stories leave me curious to see what happens next and I can't stop smiling when I watch the intro
The green lady also reminded me of something... maybe just a female Reginald Bushroot? ("Put out the Bushroot, Put out the Bushroot!") maybe Poison Ivy, maybe both...
I spent around half the episode trying to figure out why that dog looked so familiar, and when I saw this video I was like WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK THAT WAS ROXANNE ALL ALONG WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME
What could happen is that, even if she is not Roxanne (just generic character #whatever), fans will be calling her that so many time that the Ducktales crew and Disney will just make that name official. Just saying.
i'll say this much about the reboot it didn't piss me off like i thought it would and is actually good and i eagerly await the next ep witch is in SEP 23?! sigh good shows are like cocaine
I have a great idea, Donald, Scrooge and Gladstone's nephews: Huey,Dewey and Louie vs Daisy's neices April, May and June vs Alvin, Simeon and Theodore, vs Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor.
A lot of people complain about huey louie and duey sounding too old due to their voice actors being adults, but honestly, I just assumed this version has the triplets in their teens. Heck their actually many boys that have deeper voices than you'd normally expect. Honestly, I prefer they went with this instead of trying to imitate the original voices since a.) it gives the show more of its own identity, and b.) I feel that the voices will eventually become degrading if done every week.
Yeah i've known some 13-14 year old boys who have ridiculously deep voices, and I assumed that was the age range the show was aiming for. Seems to make sense to me.
Jun Taiohara Not gonna lie, Disney XD can make some pretty fucking awesome cartoons. Gravity Falls and Star vs the Forces of Evil are prime examples of this. Not that Cartoon Network can't, I mean, look at Steven Universe, Adventure Time, We Bare Bears, Regular Show, OK KO, and a whole lot more. They definitely have the potential, but they have to stop filling up their show time with Teen Titans Go. That's what's really killing it for me. Personally, I don't care that TTG, 2016 Power Puff Girls, or the new Ben 10 exist, I've gotten over it. But CN treats their good shows like crap. But hey, at least Disney has their shit in order. Probably the best network out of the three (including Nickelodeon).
11:03 Put _Wander over Yonder_ on that list, too. Several crew members from that show work on the new DuckTales, including co-producer Frank Angones, who was one of the writers on _WoY._ -It would be great to have had that third and final season greenlit, though.-
bakkahentai2600 Yeah Disney's been on a roll with their television cartoons lately. Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder, Star Vs The Forces Of Evil, Randy Cunningham, Milo Murphy's Law.... If only they'd STOP DUMPING ALL THESE AWESOME SHOWS OVER AT DISNEY XD.
I can’t believe that you didn’t make a joke about David Tennant reprising his most famous role... The Doctor. Scrooge is basically the Doctor at the beginning of any season that he hasn’t regenerated and has no companion starting out.
While I loved the more "realistic" art style from the older cartoons, that's probably the only point the original would win. The reboot fleshes out bland characters and gives them personalities you can work with. The only character to get screwed over in that regard so far is Launchpad. The art style argument will be like Twilight Princess vs Wind Waker, which is ultimately a preference of style with both being quality work.
Cartoon Network "reboots" take notes and eat your heart out >:) Also if you don't do the series "InfinityTrain" you are dead to me.......... well more dead to me now that I got this show going
Except you have to fly to another region to even see the latter, while OK KO! is a US Exclusive Tibet. Oh yeah, Gundam Build Fighers was in Japan's CN as well. CN: Master of region-locking, and pissing off it's consumers.
This reboot was better than I thought and I like the new Webby. Sure she may be similar to Mabel but I'd take the Mabel archetype over the original, I always thought the original was a bit annoying. Also, I did like that they gave the boys distinct personalities and I could finally tell who's who. The only slight problem I have is that they seem to be gender-bent versions of the Powerpuff Girls. Huey seems like the uptight one, always planning ahead like Blossom. Dewey seems like the insecure one, trying to prove himself because of everyone seems to underestimate him, like Bubbles. And Louie, well, he likes to lie and is a bit of a troublemaker like Buttercup is. Heck, I've also just noticed that they even have the same color scheme. Overall, I like that they have distinct personalities, I just hope they won't become too much like the Powerpuff Girls.
noname144able They will be if they include Daisy's nieces who are the boys' counterparts. But I can say that while I see what you're saying about the personalities, XD did shake it up a bit. While Bubbles and Dewey both tried to prove themselves, Dewey is a lot more brave and outspoken. He's also not afraid of much compared to Bubbles. And Blossom and Huey are both the leaders and the smart ones, I feel like Huey looks out for his brothers a lot more than Blossom looked out for her sisters. Blossom nags her sisters, Huey actually tries to get his brothers to see what they did wrong and helps them fix the problem. Lewey and Buttercup are both laid back and prank-ish, but Lewey is more of the person who would find a way around danger as where Buttercup would face a problem head-on. And the color schemes? Well, they've been that way since the boys appeared in the comic books XD
Just Another Fangirl I see what you're saying, that's why I said they seemed like gender-bent versions of the girls but I don't necessarily dislike it, just something that caught my attention. Also, I made this comment when I only saw the pilot, now that there's a few episodes released, I'm glad there are some differences and I do notice the ones you've specifically pointed out. Although I will say that the boys in this reboot do kind of give me the vibe that they would be what the Powerpuff Girls would be like once they mature a little. You've talked about Blossom being naggy, Bubbles being easily scared and Buttercup being reckless, I don't doubt that once they've matured, since they're toddlers, I can totally see them acting the same way Huey, Dewey and Louie do in this reboot since the boys here are supposed to be twelve I think? And about the color schemes, I just find it kinda funny that not only do they share the same color schemes, they also share the same roles with each member of the PPG trio regardless of Huey, Dewey and Lewey coming first haha
noname144able Huey:smart, oldest by 3 seconds(lol),works super hard, afraid of danger, plans ahead, likes safety, the red one, always feel responsible cause he's the oldest Dewey:loves to anventure, not afraid of danger, out going, doesn't really plan ahead like Huey,2nd oldest by 2 seconds(lol),the blue one, hates being board, likes having fun Louie:lazy, can lie, doesn't like anventures, doesn't like being responsible, youngest out of his other brothers,3rd oldest by 1 second(lol),the green one, likes money, kinda greedy Webby:NOT Huey,Dewey and Louie's sister but friend, smart, loves anventures, has only Huey,Dewey and Louie as her friends cause her Grandma is over protective of her so she was locked up in a room, loves learning more about Scrooge Mic Duck's family, social awkward cause her Grandma is over protective and locked her up in a room,is a Tomboy, has a really tough edge, better personality than the old Webby(lol),knows how to defend herself and fight back bad guys cause her grandma taught her how
He pretty much already compared the two. While the original had good characters, the reboot took the characters that where underwritten (The Triplets and Webby) and made them interesting.
5:20 I'm gonna spoil now but you're probably here after watching the Series finale anyways so here we go... □ Manny: I swore I would never do this again, hold this (gives Lena the stone head of Scrooge) (Cue Gargoyles Theme as Manny grows a head and wings) □ Manny played by Keith David (The voice of Goliath): I LIVE AGAIN....again
Ghoste Writer Loved it a lot and so much jokes I saw that are similar to that show in Ducktales, the meta lesson and Dewey reinterpreting Scrooge's words. (What you say to the weak of heart to turn away from what is truly the challenge)
It’s...now a little complicated to do. See in duck tales Darkwing Duck is a tv show in the same vain as Batman, however the organization he worked for is real so...
10:23 I remember seeing the mother's portrait and name, Della Duck, in a Duck family tree drawn by Don Rosa, but that's pretty much it. The dad's portrait was conveniently covered
JONATHAN PINZON No but due to the time between seasons, it might as well be considered one. Different tone and narrative structure, but still continuing Jack's journey as a character
Ben Wasserman same series. A reboot is something you start all over for today's audiences. The new season of Jack was targeted to people who grew up with it like me.
Revival and/or sequel, not reboot. Doesn't matter the time, it ties with the original and continues over the story with changes made to formula, like for example, what Doctor Who did: Both are still considered the same universe, show and overall story despite the strong division, even as a product, but is not restarting everything for the sake of making something new/with a new perspective, personalities changed from the start [Jack still the same Jack even with the depression], reimagining the world, etc., which is what DuckTales, PPG 2016, TTG and new Ben 10 are doing Is like saying that Toy Story 3 was a reboot
the teen titans animators are being held against their will by CN studio producers and are forced to work on TT-go because it's a job and "they got bills to pay and got mouths to feed cuz there's nothing in this world for free, No they can't slow down, they can't hold back, although they wish they could.............."
I actually didn't even know her name before the show and I've been reading the comics for ten years before that. I don't believe she was ever even mentioned.
Sherry_A_H because from what ive been ableto check she had a grand total of 10 mentions And appearances over 80 years. The few times she appeared itd be in the background without speaking and wed just assume or be told later it was her. Otherwise a phone call or a letter or 2 over the years until it was retconned at the turn of the century into her being an astronaut that got lost in space and was never heard from again and donald officially adopted the kids. She was such a non character her full name changed back and forth between Dumbella and Thelma over the decades a half dozen times She wasnt a character. She was a simple plot device to give donald the boys or take them back when readers didnt like them. Their father had a few token mentions- one of the earliest ones had her send a letter to donald with the boys saying she had to take dad to the hospital due to a spontaneuous firework explosionthattheboyshadnothingtodowithisweartheyareangelsOKBYE Compare all that to the show, where they made sure to give her episodes to herself to endear her to the audience Despite the horrible decision she made that ruined her and her boys life together and then give us time to endear her to us among the cast. She fits in so well and is one of the best characters the show has to offer, causing several truly tear jerking moments that make grown men cry
When i heard it i was like "..Wait.. Mom? *hard thinking* ... Oh, they're Donald's Nephews.... *thinking intensifies* Why didn't i ever tought about their parents before? ......Why are they living with their uncle? HOW ARE THEY RELATED TO SCROOGE? WHERE ARE DONALD'S PARENTS? WHAT ABOUT-"
My only gripe with it was Gosalyn's personality changes and tweaks, but it was otherwise fantastic. Not that there's anything really wrong with her new portrayal, but I didn't really thing scrappy little Gosalyn needed to be changed when she was already plenty unique as far as child characters went, but this is mostly a nitpick. I know they also had personality changes on the Duck Tales kids too, but unlike Gosalyn they kinda needed it as Huey, Dewey and Louie were just kind of the generic nice, but kinda trouble making kid personality (on top of no variation of personality between the three,) and Webby's original personality was "dated girl stereotype."
Spoilers: - - - - - - - - As it turns out, Webby was a clone grown in a lab. Also manny the headless man horse ended up as a wonderful gargoyles reference in the last episode

Huh?

The Ducktales reboot: everyone loves it.
The ben 10 reboot and The powerpuff girls 2016 reboot: everyone wants them to burn in hell.
Cloud 兵士 Actually just the Powerpuff Girls. Ben 10 actually grew on me. Especially after the finale for season one. Leave it to Vilgax to make Ben 10 go from a generic action show to a show worth coming back to.
Cloud 兵士 That's because Duck tales is good.
The reason for that is simple: There have already been too many Ben 10s, so it's obviously just a cash grab. Also, the new PPG was made by people who absolutely didn't understand what made the original work. (That, and trying to included internet humor severally cringe-a-fies and dates any show attempts it.)
I am not a fan of the DuckTales reboot. Why do we need reboots for everything? Am I so out of touch?

Fun Fact: since the triplets introduction Disney forbid anyone to ever talk or mention Louey, Dewey and Huey's parents in both the comics and cartoons despite them being in the Duck family tree, and the first piece of plot/story arc we see in this reboot is a clue about the triplets mom, holy shit! ❤
Raeleka
wow.
does this mean disney was actively attempting to keep the triplets as one dimensional as possible.
Zander Rodriguez in a way, yes.
CeltycSparrow I agree!
I personally feel like both shows stand on their own and are unique and fun in their own ways

Yes but, CN didn't create TTG, WB Animation did.
MLP is widely considered far superior to all previous incarnations and Transformers Prime AND Transformers Animated are both considered great reboots to their respective franchises.
sadlobster1 The funny thing is in the past they did do good reboots:
Thundercats which was pretty much the Voltron Legendary Defenders of 2011.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe though that could be an exported show.
Same could be said for the Real Adventures of Johnny Quest
Transformers Animated: hey remember the time Cartoon Network actually aired Transformers cartoons?
Thundercats reboot?
You mean the Thundercats anime?
sadlobster1 don't forget that Nick also created one of the worst reboots of the Ninja Turtles
Anyone else find Donald REALLY HARD to understand sometimes? Loved it otherwise, but I kept having to roll it back to get what he said.
Donald's never been easy to understand.
OMG I tought I had this problem for beiung non-native speaker! Good to know it's done on pourpose since always...
I love the new style, it gives the show it's own identity separate from the original, makes it unique amongst other cartoons, while at the same time being a positive throwback to the Ducktales comics. Also I like how I'm not the only one who noticed the Roxanne cameo.
Arkus actually the style is a bit like the loud house but not completely.
Craig Gibbons
Pathetic animation?
I'd rather they have good voices that sound like adults than voices that sound like kids but are really annoying.
Yeah i've known some 13-14 year old boys who have ridiculously deep voices, and I assumed that was the age range the show was aiming for. Seems to make sense to me.
I look at it this way. Mighty Max sounded older than he was. And that show was awesome.

Not gonna lie, Disney XD can make some pretty fucking awesome cartoons. Gravity Falls and Star vs the Forces of Evil are prime examples of this. Not that Cartoon Network can't, I mean, look at Steven Universe, Adventure Time, We Bare Bears, Regular Show, OK KO, and a whole lot more.
What's wrong with Launchpad?

Me: Well... you're wrong.
Overall, I like that they have distinct personalities, I just hope they won't become too much like the Powerpuff Girls.
noname144able
They will be if they include Daisy's nieces who are the boys' counterparts.
"a bit"? The original Webby was 'chip-the-paint-off-the-walls' irritating. EASILY the worst part of the original show.
noname144able
Huey:smart,oldest by 3 seconds(lol),works super hard,afraid of danger,plans ahead,likes safety,the red one,always feel responsible cause he's the oldest
Dewey:loves to anventure,not afraid of danger,out going,doesn't really plan ahead like Huey,2nd oldest by 2 seconds(lol),the blue one,hates being board,likes having fun
Louie:lazy,can lie,doesn't like anventures,doesn't like being responsible,youngest out of his other brothers,3rd oldest by 1 second(lol),the green one,likes money,kinda greedy
Webby:NOT Huey,Dewey and Louie's sister but friend, smart, loves anventures, has only Huey,Dewey and Louie as her friends cause her Grandma is over protective of her so she was locked up in a room, loves learning more about Scrooge Mic Duck's family, social awkward cause her Grandma is over protective and locked her up in a room,is a Tomboy, has a really tough edge, better personality than the old Webby(lol),knows how to defend herself and fight back bad guys cause her grandma taught her how
So... You know... At some point... You know after a season or two... Old vs. New, right?
He pretty much already compared the two.
While the original had good characters, the reboot took the characters that where underwritten (The Triplets and Webby) and made them interesting.
True, true.
Yep
Cartoon Network; take note. Ducktales and Voltron are exactly what good reboots are not whatever you're making.
Well, they could've aired Galactic Kids Next Door, but nope.
I swear, CN is run by total morons.
don't Forget TMNT 2012
ReasyRandom that is a fact now.
This is why samurai Jack(2017) was on adult swim
5:20 I'm gonna spoil now but you're probably here after watching the Series finale anyways so here we go... □ Manny: I swore I would never do this again, hold this (gives Lena the stone head of Scrooge) (Cue Gargoyles Theme as Manny grows a head and wings)
□ Manny played by Keith David (The voice of Goliath): I LIVE AGAIN....again
"Like Star vs The Forces of Evil and Gravity Falls..."
AND RANDY CUNNINGHAM: 9TH GRADE NINJA
Looking at you DEWFORD
Yes! That was such a fun show!
Ghoste Writer Loved it a lot and so much jokes I saw that are similar to that show in Ducktales, the meta lesson and Dewey reinterpreting Scrooge's words. (What you say to the weak of heart to turn away from what is truly the challenge)
I've had a good laugh imagining Randy saying some of these lines. XD
Spectral Ninja Eh... That was okay, but not popular.
Next Disney reboot -> Darkwing Duck?
THAT SHOW HAS THE MOST CATCHIEST THEME SONG EVER!!!!!!!
Remy Note
Or gargoyles
I would love that
It’s...now a little complicated to do. See in duck tales Darkwing Duck is a tv show in the same vain as Batman, however the organization he worked for is real so...
It’s been confirmed that it will be rebooted in 2020
10:23 I remember seeing the mother's portrait and name, Della Duck, in a Duck family tree drawn by Don Rosa, but that's pretty much it. The dad's portrait was conveniently covered
najhoant that was the joke lol
"I just assumed they were clones!" - omg i lost it there XD
Why cant powerpuff girls reboot be as good as these?
Because Powerpuff was to sucker in old fans to get ratings, and brainwash new fans to get money
Because money.
Cause When ever cartoon network hears :Reboot reboot reboot : All they hear is : cuching cuching cuching : and lose care
because disney didn't make it
Because Cartoon Network.
10:17 I actually thought you were gonna drop it
I thought he was gonna do a spit take.
Nah. too predictable
Same 😂😂
3:45 to 3:48
QUACKLING HOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL 😂🤣XD
5:43 “We never see that horse again”
Manny: ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT
Ducktales + Samurai Jack Season 5 = excellent reboots
Ben Wasserman season 5 is not a freaking reboot!
Same here but given the shift in focus regarding Jack's story, I still view the final season as both a continuation and reboot.
Revival and/or sequel, not reboot. Doesn't matter the time, it ties with the original and continues over the story with changes made to formula, like for example, what Doctor Who did: Both are still considered the same universe, show and overall story despite the strong division, even as a product, but is not restarting everything for the sake of making something new/with a new perspective, personalities changed from the start [Jack still the same Jack even with the depression], reimagining the world, etc., which is what DuckTales, PPG 2016, TTG and new Ben 10 are doing
Is like saying that Toy Story 3 was a reboot
Meanwhile at cartoon network...
the teen titans animators are being held against their will by CN studio producers and are forced to work on TT-go because it's a job and "they got bills to pay and got mouths to feed cuz there's nothing in this world for free, No they can't slow down, they can't hold back, although they wish they could.............."
Cartoon network sux ass Cause of that stupid ass TEEN TITANS!!!. I HATE THAT TEEN TITANS!!!!!. #BRINGBACKDAREALTITANS
Poppa Diamond They're acually airing reruns of the original teen titans. It may not be season 6, but it's better than nothing.
we don't talk about them
Gumball Watterson you like teen titans go? how old are you
I'm hoping for a Darkwing Duck reboot who's with me
Awesome I can't wait until that episode
+Keeper Spencer ...I think Jim hinted that he would voice DW in a conference once.
Victoria Leary fun fact, apparently a reboot is coming in 2018
If they don't bring back Jim Cummings, No thanks.
klimmr3021 - It's just not Darkwing Duck without Jim Cummings.
I really wanna see his reaction when they introduced returning villains like Magica and Don Karnage
Ok, but it was always established that Della Duck, Donald's sister, was mother to the boys. It is their father that we know nothing about.
She was such a non character her full name changed back and forth between Dumbella and Thelma over the decades a half dozen times
She wasnt a character. She was a simple plot device to give donald the boys or take them back when readers didnt like them.
Their father had a few token mentions- one of the earliest ones had her send a letter to donald with the boys saying she had to take dad to the hospital due to a spontaneuous firework explosionthattheboyshadnothingtodowithisweartheyareangelsOKBYE
Compare all that to the show, where they made sure to give her episodes to herself to endear her to the audience Despite the horrible decision she made that ruined her and her boys life together and then give us time to endear her to us among the cast.
She fits in so well and is one of the best characters the show has to offer, causing several truly tear jerking moments that make grown men cry
I almost sqeauled when Dewey mentioned his mom
ALMOST? I did squeal.
When i heard it i was like
"..Wait..
WHAT ABOUT-"
@Miguel Deer they're dad is daisy's brother XD
I really wanna know how Doug feels about the "I hope your happy" scene
Or any of it. Don Karnage, Darkwing Duck epuside and so on.
Yall need to revisit the show again
It gets REEEAAAALLY good after this (as if it weren't already great)
also Man Horse becomes a side character
Doug, a prince does not "woo-hoo"
That's fond remembering.
Thanks for that Bambi 2 reference you sly Blatherskite
"Do you know how close I was to dropping that?"
Same, NC, same...
Now we just need a Darkwing Duck reboot with Jim Cummings still the voice of Darkwing.
LordVader1094 only if Keith David gets to voice one of the villains. Like if you agree.
MonsterHunter 66 I GOT VOODOO I GOT HOODOO I GOT THINGS I AIN'T EVEN TRIED
Let's get dangerous!
"I just thought they were clones!"
Wait for it...
He knows more than he realises.
Only a day after it came out and I still stand by my opinion that the new Duck Knight Returns episode is the best especially with that kick ass ending
I just loved the twist ending! but it made me realize Gosling could show up too now! and would actually fit in with Webby!
You forgot to mention how cleverly it satirizes modern superhero movies and reboot, all while being a great origin story for Darkwing Duck
"I just assumed they were clones, spawned in a laboratory of comedic sidekicks!"
'cue The Last Adventure'
Hah!
IT GETS BETTER.
LIN MANUEL MIRANDA IS GOING TO BE VOICING A FUTURE DUCKTALES CHARACTER.
THE HYPE IS FUCKING REAL.
Fenton Crackshell/Gizmoduck
Right after singing the theme song for the Magic School Bus reboot. P.S., the animation in Rides Again looks like a cheap 90s PC game.
Thank you
now i'm screaming
And Lin is at home, his head leaning on his left hand, his right hand moving the mouse. He scrolls down. He smiles.
Smiles somewhat ominously.
The Anime Obsessor And Catherine Tate plays Magica De Spell.
2:21 actually, his name is even weirder. It's "Llewellyn"
Spoilers: - - - - - - - - As it turns out, Webby was a clone grown in a lab. Also manny the headless man horse ended up as a wonderful gargoyles reference in the last episode
Did Doug ever have hair?
elin111 In his old videos yeah.
Thanks for remembering it so I didn't have to.
DanRage47 Losing your hair in your thirties doesn't necessarily mean you have cancer.
His dad has long silky hair
elin111 he shaved it off in his norm of the North review
It's 2020, three seasons in, and this show not only holds up, but it delivered and exceed my expectations. I recommend it all the freaking time.
I should add that I'm 42 years old and grew up with the original Ducktales cartoon.
If only you knew.
We've been spending most our lives, living in a Ducktales paradise.
