Nice review! You mentioned the smaller air vent that "cools your knees" - is there a way to close those smaller vents if you don't want them blowing on your knees? I assume the upper vents can be closed as well, yes?
From a design point of view, almost all Hyundai/Kia, Genesis midels looks way better than Toyota,Lexus..... . From a hybrid point of view, not one manufacturer comes near the perfection of Toyota engineering, certainly not Kia and Hyundai....
Agreed
Waiting for your review on mazda cx 90 phev!
Mine is a Dual Hybrid.
I keep the seats down so my zooz eBike stays safely locked up in the back pretty much 24/7, and charge it's battery from the 2nd row household plug while I'm commuting all day :P
a nice SUV and the facelifted 2024 Model looks maybe a little bit better.
Hondas does that blind spot mirror thing also when you use the indicator to turn on you blind side.
Only when turning to the right. How the Koreans do it is more handy and convenient
Imo the base lx sorento is decent. I got to drive one for a few days and I came away impressed. No turbo to worry about and the transmission isn’t a DCT
A lifted prius would make every other 2 row economy car obsolete
You are describing the Corolla Cross Hybrid? Trouble is that once you lift the car and add weight, it will not be nearly as efficient and it will just be another small crossover with a hybrid power train.
Nice.
I mean for a hybrid SUV getting 39 mpg sounds great.
Which model did you find smoother & quieter on highway drives, the Sorento Hybrid or the Sportage Hybrid?
You were looking at the plug-in model for 50K, my brother just brought SX Prestige Hybrid AWD for 45K out the door in GA.
What the sticker?
@@makatron, $43,815
@@styner3 that sounds like a good deal bro
@@makatron , bought it using Pentagon Credit Union car buying service
Why would a Hybrid use a Turbo motor??
0 to 60 in 10 secs, if not.....
With a lease and the $7,500 off MSRP of the 2023 AWD IONIQ 5 Limited these Hybrids are awfully close in price. Probably not often cross shopped but PHEV’s are going to have to be more compelling. Like Mercedes use that instantly spins Turbos and separately adds low end torque with a drive line assist all while knocking down gas prices with lower consumption and higher performance from smaller engines seems to be the PHEV’s path ahead. Their latest all electric range is pragmatically big enough to be a great one vehicle solution for those who only have one. 🤔 19:28
Current Kia/Hyundai Hybrids will never compete with Toyota hybrids. Their system is nowhere near the efficiency of the toyota's hybrid system + are slower.
Have seen a review with the new Sonata 2.0 HEV in Korea. He did 9.55 sec 0-100km/h which is about 9.2s 0-60mph. Way slower than the old Sonata and Camry hybrid.
Yeah. Only reason not to buy Honda and Toyota is that they don't have all the models in all countries. Highlander is not available in Europe. Sorento is.
The Sonata makes up for its slower speed with full control of the regen braking and transmission gears via paddle shifters from the Ioniq Hybrid. That feature alone is worth getting the Sonata Hybrid over its competitors.
@@MrRaitzi Highlander is available in Europe 🙂
@@JT-fq2bl All hybrids have regen braking control and that's a gimmick.
Paddle shifters are bullshit on all hybrids. The fact that it has gears is a downside actually.
@@Eugen-E you are right. It is just Finland sucks. I assumed same for everybody.
the 2024 sorento has even more to punch, it is completely redesigned with better seats and features.
Average battery life and replacement for PHEV.. 6-8 yrs not a certainty , probability 50/50
We'll see, but these hybrids are not using traditional lithium batteries like tesla, Toyota is even using nickel metal ones and others lithium iron.
Going with the Hybrid, kIA should have kept this vehicle with 5 seats. Going with the 6 seats is barely practically. Overall this is a fantastic SUV.
Hello😊
Bro if your not going electric at this point why…
Similar size Tesla. Model x is like $100k. EV9 is nice and big however if you can deal with low range. Like $20k more still for EV9.
@@MrRaitzi they recently dropped the price of the model x and they have the federal tax credit
@@OrganicStuff1 yeah. Depends where you live what makes best sense. Model X is cheap used. Values drop like stone.
We have a EV for city driving and a hybrid for highways. Personally prefer the comfort of my ES300h over wife’s Model Y.
