@@CarSceneKorea that's great news! Will have to go for a test drive with the refreshed sorento!🎉🎉 Does HDA2 now confidently keep the Sorento centered in its lane even on the most aggressive freeway curves? Thanks!

8:52 I think it's important to point out that the digital review mirror is not for everyone, especially for those who are not able to focus quickly from faraway objects to near ones. What I mean is that the image on the digital rearview mirror is very close to your eyes, whereas the image on a traditional glass rearview mirror is actually far away. Since your eyes are already focused on objects far away as you're driving and looking ahead on the road, checking a traditional glass rearview mirror will not pose an issue. Your eyes do not have to refocus. For the digital mirror, the image is very close to your face, so your eyes will need to refocus on that image as a near object. You'll know what I mean once you drive a car with a digital rearview mirror.
Great point. You can always use the conventional mirror, something I love about HMG cars. They don't force us to use the latest tech, we can always revert back to what we are used to. Also, I'd like to point out that you won't be changing that mirror as you drive the vehicle, it is more like putting on your glasses before reading, watching a video, etc. Yes, it feel a bit different at first and some will take longer to get used to the new environment.
@CarSceneKorea Dude... you are the hardest working youtuber in Korea! Thank you so much for responding.👍 Anyway, when I was driving that EV6 GT on Monday, I primarily used the traditional mirror because I couldn't get used to the digital mirror. But, if given the chance, I will definitely pay for the digital mirror option. I'm sure it will come in handy in certain situations. Now I gotta watch your EV3 video again, as I'm test driving one tomorrow 😁.
Hope you had fund with the EV3, TH-cam doesn't give me notifications on a secondary reply, so drop me a new comment so I can see your comment 100% Digital Center Mirror provides more visibility than conventional mirror, therefore I think it's much safer to use and get accustomed to DCM for that reason alone.
I love the key fob KIA has been using in their cars. Much more better looking than the ones Hyundai have been using. Hyundai's key fob look cheap and hope they upgrade in the near future.🤞
So it looks like the 1.6L hybrids in this and the new Santa Fe have more power than the 1.6L hybrid in the pre-facelift Tucson hybrid, will the facelifted Tucson hybrid also get the power bump?
There is PHEV version, not sure when the release date and market will be though. Most likely it will be North American and European markets. Korea never got PHEVs.

What are you curious about? It should not be all that much different except that is a diesel. I mean that is a big difference but the rest is pretty much the same.
@@CarSceneKorea if the rest is exactly the same then that’s fine. I’m getting one soon and was tossing b/w the petrol or diesel. Hybrid is quite pricey

Yes, at least for the domestic Korean market. I've never found a significantly different 3rd row experience when it comes to SUVs. Just an emergency seat for short distance is the verdict I have.
I am considering purchasing the Sorento 1.6 HEV 4x2 215 HP (171.5 kW) gasoline model... I drive about 10,000 km per year (I don't reach 15,000). You might obviously ask why I don't opt for other models? The answer is simple, I like this car. I know very well that it weighs as much as a blue whale and that SUVs, according to many, are unattractive. But who cares, I like it. So the question is only about the fuel consumption, which, according to KIA, is around 6.7 liters / 100 km (combined cycle) and the engine power (not sure about the total Nm). Feedback? Has anyone by chance tried or bought it to give an opinion?
bruh, try to show us more of the car than you podcasting the review. we love you and what you do but we came for the car. And i agree, i'll take the design of the Sorento over the practicality of the SantaFE
There is a whole video dedicated to showcasing precisely that found in the pinned comment and card. This video focused on the drive and delivering the experience I has test driving it 🤩
So just to understand-- this refreshed Sorento only gets HDA1 and Lane following Assist1? Not HDA2/LFA2?😢
It does get HDA2, I made a stupid mistake 😭
@CarSceneKorea ah got it! So having HDA2, it also gets LFA2? Thanks!
Yep, HDA2 gets LFA2 automatically.

I completely agree. I bought mine Tucson Hybrid not to spend less on fuel, but for the extra performance, smoothness and quiet ride.
Agreed! 💯
How does the hybrid gear change, ice activation compare to crv or rav 4?

From 37,860,000 Korean won all the way up to 48,310,000 won depending on the trim and models (2WD & AWD) you get.

Nice!! I like the wheels on this one from Korea than the ones here in USA😢
I didn't know the right pronunciation was Ghia. Thank you for this information
Not sure if that will be the “correct” pronunciation, but at least that is how it is pronounced in the mother tongue 😛

Have you tried diesel model? How can compare it? Thanks
Not yet, but typical diesel sensation of low end torque, instant power, yet a bit difficult picking up the speed on highway, etc.

True. The options offered might vary depending on where you are though.

Does it come with heads up display?
Yep 👍
No PHEV version in Korea yet for review?
Korea never got PHEVs for any Hyundai Motor Group cars including this Sorento but also Santa Fe 😭
Is the hybrid 2024 version is only for Korea? Doesn’t seem to have it for the NA version
Could vary depending on a market to another. Check with your local dealership :)

Is DCT transmission used in the 1.6 Turbo-Hybrid engine? I've read bad comments about this transmission.
It is 6spd automatic for Sorento Hybrid.
Also..are all 2024 daytime running lights whote? Or are some amber??😮
All cars are white for Korea due to regulations, seems like it is amber for NA or the US.

كيف يمكننا شراء هذا الموديل تحديدا من كوريا , هل هناك موقع الكتروني او وكيل شحن حيث اننا لايوجد لدينا هذا الموديل

Sorento looks and drives amazing! The fuel economy is usually higher in real life when you "try."
Hi, did I hear you say th fuel economy is 13.1L per 100km in the hybrid?!!!! That's horrible numbers...
It is if I said it was 13.1L/100km, but I'm pretty sure I've said 13.1km/L.
