I grew up in Polk County & The Lakeland Civic Center was an awsome concert venue in my own back yard. Saw so many bands there over the decades with my very 1st being Elvis on September 4,1976 - I still have the ticket. When I was younger, the arena looked so huge & it amazed me how it could sell out. TY for the walk down memory lane & I'm glad you were able to get in there to show us. It looks so small now, but so many fond memories. Saw ZZ Top there with my parents on a couple of occasions, Elvis w/my mom & grandmother, etc. I now have season tickets to the Classic Albums Live shows & they play albums (cover to cover) of many of the bands I saw in concert there. They perform in The Youkey Theatre & if you haven't seen it, the "Lithium Experience" you showed on the sign is a damn fine representation of many of the actual bands that played there. 💛
The Lakeland Antique Mall is so overwhelmingly crazy awesome. So glad we got shown around by “Recycling The Magic!” Also, my first ever Disneyland ride!
I saw many concerts at the Lakeland Civic Center back in the 80’s: Judas Priest, Rush, AC/DC, and Journey on the last tour they did with Steve Perry. Seeing the inside of the arena brought back sone great memories!
What a fantastic day!! Always enjoy going down memory lane! Our daughter and son in law had their wedding reception at the Lakeland Civic Center back in 2009. Great haul too!!
Good morning Adam ☺️🌞 I like antique mall they have great stuff retro and antiques collectibles. I like Nirvana music, being a person like me with blonde hair I was in highschool in the 1990s 1991-1995 some kids call me Kurt Cobain or Beavis from Beavis and Butthead. Thanks for sharing good to see what your looking at on video. Take care and stay safe.😎📸👍
Hello Adam. Another great video! So many awesome things to add to your collection. Enjoy looking through the booklets. We are looking forward to more information about your collection! ❤️
I know time flies but thirty years! While you were at the Nirvana concert Southern California was burning the Laguna fires the Riverside fires the Irvine fires The Villa Park fires. I lost my house in Riverside and those fires and I was evacuated to Orange county and I will never forget coming up Chapman from the 55 my mom lives off of rancho Santiago the hills of Orange Park acres were on fire and the Laguna fire merged and was cresting coming down. I never want to live through that again that firestorm nope the Northridge in January it was too much! I packed what I had left took I-40 and moved house and home to Michigan. We had to start over. I'm looking to move again and I'm just not sure where my feet will land I can't take the humidity I can't take the heat I don't mind 60 degrees year-round I just can't take humidity. Thank you for taking us on another adventure!
I saw Nirvana at Green River Community College near Seattle in 1988 (I think.) Young Fresh Fellows was the headliner, and Nirvana was the opening act of the three band show. Can't remember the middle act. At the time they were just a local Seattle garage/club band, and that's what they sounded like. Grohl hadn't joined yet. I had absolutely no clue they were destined for greater things.
That’s awesome Lakeland arena. Brought back a lot of memories. I was lucky enough to get ticket to U2 opening ZooTv show there in 1992 and I saw The Black Crowes there. And one more was The Cult with Lenny Kravitz at Lakeland Civic
My home town. I remember seeing Prince, Run DMC, Wrestling, Disney On Ice , Circus world and many more performances in that same building you recorded. WOW... haven't been inside there in years. Thank you so much for sharing. Love your channel.❤
How amazing to have seen Nirvana in their prime! My biggest regret is not seeing Queen when I was offered tickets back in the day; you always think there will be another opportunity but of course that’s not always the case .. Glad I got to see Genesis at their peak and Paul McCartney and Wings ❤
Mine also, Queen used to play up in Santa Cruz hills a lot in the days, but as a young girl I was warned not to go to the venue at Santas Village. I listened.
Really bad if you are a girl. Getting assaulted is no fun. one time at ICP I lifted my feet and did not fall. We were pressed against the stage. Crazy times!
Great haul Adam! Can’t leave that Antique Mall without buying something! And great luck going back inside the Jenkins center to relive those 90’s memories ❤
I've mentioned it in the past but I still have my nirvana ticket from that very night. That concert was amazing! My friend said I lost one of my shoes crowd surfing but I don't remember that lol. It's so wild to see inside the arena after 30 years! I also have that "rocket ship" little mermaid VHS haha. Found it at a thrift store. Love the haul at the end!
It was nice that you were able to be shown around and that restaurant looked yummy. You got a great amount of some great things! Thank you for taking us with you. Fun video Adam
MGM was definitely my favorite! How great to have all of those wonderful representations from that time. If I could have, I would have hung out my entire time at WDW! My eyes popped out of my head with the tour through the animation studios.❤
Hey Adam I was just talking to Tom Wilson he says you guys were just hanging out in California and told me to be on look out for future videos with him
Yeah the Chicago fan expo was amazing got to meet the whole cast of back to the future. we were talking to Tom about you and how we loved your videos together, surprised you weren't there.
Thank you Adam brought back some memories when I used to go to my grandparents during the summer months back in the day, I went to all the theme parks when you said cypress gardens I forgot bout them. I haven’t been to central Florida forever wonder if cypress garden still open
Wow, it's so cool that the maintenance man let you in there to reminisce. And you lucked up on some great finds today! 😊 What an amazing Birthday weekend you've had. 🎉🥳🎉
Dude, I live in Portland Oregon. You know how many times nirvana came to Portland?! A ton! You know how many times I saw them? ZERO!!! One of the greatest regrets of my life!
🌴🌴 Very cool Adam, nice grabs ! N Happy Belated 🎂 Birthday as well. Been 2 the Lakeland Antique Mall as well, really like going there cool things 2 look at N purchase 2. Happy volging, enjoy watching. B safe and keep up the great work your doing, thanks Joe 👍🏼
Happy Friday into the weekend Adam..Great video and tour around Celebration FL..Nice pumpkin coffee..Keep up your good health, invest wisely and enjoy on..
Cool story on Nirvana and cool wrestling guys too. My Dad would go to the Olympic Auditorium to see them and we were extras in the movie Basketball . They filmed at the Olympic Auditorium in 1998 .
Can't believe you were lucky enough to see Nirvana live. That must have been something. Another notable event that took place there was U2 opening the Zoo TV tour in 1992. There are videos of that show circling around online.
Publix truly is A Great Place To Work!!!!!!!!!!! I work at store #1080 in The Villages! Coming up on my 1 year anniversary with the company! George Jenkins was truly an awesome man!
That's Awesome on the arena. I have been wanting to check it out too and ironically was over there yesterday, too. Only drove by the arena. I was away on vacation when Nirvana played. I did meet U2 during their rehearsal prior to ZooTV tour. It was pretty cool they came out to meet a few of us hanging there.
Just did a weekend travel from St. Augustine to Gatlinburg. I hope one of your next travels takes you back there. Try the Tom and Betty’s Bar and get the “Phatty Melt.” You will not be disappointed and I’ve never seen you go there before. Hope to see you soon in my travels!
I'll take the heat over a snow blizzard anytime. Good luck Adam. I got five years on you. At MK since 1977. Those lunch boxes stunk up the cafeteria. 😊
Pretty cool that they let y’all sit in the ride vehicles and in the car for photo ops. Fred’s Market is a really good place to eat. If they still have the promotion that they used to have when my family and I used to go there you could get a free meal on your birthday. I used to live about 10 minutes away from there in a neighborhood called Deer Brooke for 6 years when I first moved to Florida with my ex. It was a tradition with my parents and other family members to go there every birthday to eat.
The Lakeland Antique Mall is awesome to look around at but crazy expensive! I had one of those MGM license plates on sale at my booth in Winter Haven on sale for $20. Fred's is amazing, one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Happy belated birthday! I love your videos!
I've seen that mall on Nate's vlogs too - feel like I need to check it out when we're there next year! I still have some cast member items from when I worked there in 2000 - wonder how much they're worth now.
Wow Adam! Loved the footage of the vintages toys!. I collect vintage toys as well! Started a TH-cam channel with vintage toys in mind mainly hot wheels diecast but love collecting Star Wars figures! Keep up the good work
I saw so many concerts there too in the 80s and 90s my first one styx when i was a teen nirvana was nov 28 93 you're lucky you were tall it's a lot better when stuck in the crowd
Hi Adam , Just wanted to wish a Belated Birthday to ya as I know mine is close the 14th lol. We saw you in Celebration yesterday too cool we visit there to eat sometimes and look for you,we saw you down by the Lake at the sign didnt want to be stalkerish so didnt shout out. Keep up on all your adventures and will keep doing so its great. Take care man.
As a Portlander, I always knew there were local connections, but I never realized how extensive they were until you visited here earlier this year (loved the video). The closest connection I personally had was that after Courtney stopped stripping and before she left for L.A. she was the vocalist for a PDX punk band, Theatre of Sheep, whose leader/bass player was a guy I worked with for over ten years in the medical courier business. Far as I know, he still tells the story of how she totally trashed his house when she quit the band. I think he also knew Curt. This guy quit both the hospital business and music after he inherited all of his family money and is now retired. But in the final days of the band, his other vocalist was another somewhat famous Portlander- Meredith Brooks
The RP Funding Center, & The Lakeland Antique Mall are my local go to's when they have interesting events & Old stuff to buy. Don't forget IF your in town in November for BartowCon!
I attended numerous concerts in the Lakeland Civic Center back in the 70s and 80s The Rolling Stones,Lynyrd Skynyrd,Queen,Thin Lizzy,Aerosmith,Alice Cooper and many more .
Ive seen many concerts at the Lakeland Civic Center Arena. In fact my first concert was Boston in 1978, I have also seen Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, Quiet Riot and Stryper just to name a few.
A day of great memories for you. An excellent video Adam, thank you for sharing.
So many feelings when I revisit somewhere a younger me stood.
That place looks like it would be a cool place to see Nirvana. Awesome video as always
Adam, you have got the life !! A pretty darn good day.....
I grew up in Polk County & The Lakeland Civic Center was an awsome concert venue in my own back yard. Adam that is so cool that you actually got to see Nirvana live. Have a great day today 😊
Nirvana 30 years ago. I was there too! Late November, the In Utero concert. My first concert, 17 yrs old. The Breeders opened up for them.
WOW you scored some great stuff. The one guy in your video by the car at the antique mall is really nice. Love that place
Love the story of the police officer picking Adam up on the side of the road & delivering him to the Nirvana concert. Knight in shining armor !
I’ll never forget it
So lucky to see Nirvana live.
The Lakeland Antique Mall is so overwhelmingly crazy awesome. So glad we got shown around by “Recycling The Magic!” Also, my first ever Disneyland ride!
@GregsGameRoom nice to see you out and about!
Yesterday you said thank you to my comment on your Instagram picture and it made my day and still can’t stop smiling about it! 😊
I saw many concerts at the Lakeland Civic Center back in the 80’s: Judas Priest, Rush, AC/DC, and Journey on the last tour they did with Steve Perry. Seeing the inside of the arena brought back sone great memories!
Art Deco is my absolute favorite style of everything from architecture to clothing and jewelry.
Do I need this? Yes I do! 😊 what an awesome collection of memorabilia! 😀
Thank You for sharing.. Very interesting merchandise.
What a fantastic day!! Always enjoy going down memory lane! Our daughter and son in law had their wedding reception at the Lakeland Civic Center back in 2009. Great haul too!!

I was born in 74 too and grew up going to Disneyland every summer. I totally remember having that Disneyland sticker. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome collectibles haul!!!!!!!🚀🔥🔥🔥🔥
I loved Breeders. Saw them at Lalapoolooza in summer of 93 or 94? I'm too old can't remember. I know Beasties were there too. In Phila.

I’ve learned to always take your opportunities when they present themselves. You just never know what you’ll miss.
Love the Lakeland Antique Mall!
I was a GI Joe kid from 80's. I love going to antique malls to look at collectibles. Thank you Adam. 👍
Hi Adam, so scary to be squished at that concert, your height saved you! but what an experience to see Nirvana, something you’ll never forget 😊👍
Really bad if you are a girl. Getting assaulted is no fun. one time at ICP I lifted my feet and did not fall. We were pressed against the stage. Crazy times!
