Dave, you and your team are so life changing and wake so many of us to the things that SHOULD matter, and we THANK YOU for that! (Although you'll never see this ha-ha!) I still want to say Thank you for bettering my life and waking me up!
My brother and his wife just bought the small home next door, which they wanted to do, anyway, and are renting it to our mom. She is paying the mortgage payment for them (they are not on the Ramsey plan). It's worked out so far. They learned, when she stayed with them for a few months until this transaction was complete, that she pretty much keeps to herself, but they like that she is nearby, where they can help her if she needs it. My brother is very handy and can fix lots of things. She feels good having them nearby, as well. It's not a good idea for everyone, and financially, I would not have done it if I were in their shoes (but they didn't ask my opinion and I didn't offer it), but for now, everyone's happy.
I believe in this philosophy too but it's easier said than done. I’ve tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value. And I do live way below my means fyi.
Thank you mr Ramsey honestly you are a family tree changer and I get encouraged every time I listen to you and all the personalities.God Jesus Christ bless you and your family always💕
@@nannettegonzalez9889 Not only do you have no car payment but the true freedom is not caring about what others think of you. That's awesome! Keep going 👍
Dave makes the show. Seeing as I’ve been with Dave the whole time, I probably won’t be listening anymore for the episodes he isn’t on. The show will morph into a different thing when the other personalities take majority of the airtime.
I'm wondering why the woman whose mother has ALS will have a $250,000 medical bill for the ALS clinic. My husband passed away from ALS, which he struggled with for 3 or 4 years, and our insurance paid the medical bills. Does she not have insurance? She's 70 years old, I think she said, so she's got medicare at least. Also, once he was diagnosed, so after a couple tests, we only went to about 3 appointments (besides feeding tube installation). There's no ongoing treatment to do. I don't understand the expense for this clinic. She sould look into this and see why they're projecting $250,000 for treatment. I hope it's not preying on people in a desperate situation and unethical. I'm not being rude or harsh, but the reality is there is no treatment and if her daughter has moved home to care for her, there's no medical expense that insurance doesn't pay for.
Oh my goodness!! I wish we had some of the money that these people have. My husband got fired last month for having his gallbladder out. He’s back to work for a new company. I ended up in the hospital 2 weeks ago for 6 days for a strangulated hernia. I’m meeting a surgeon today to get that fixed. We can never catch a break!!!
In Canada invest through your TFSA first until you max it out so everything is tax free. There are also no rules as to when you can withdrawal from your TFSA, but you do lose that contribution room for that year. You can use this account for short term goals as well as retirement goals since you can withdrawal at anytime and everything that grows within the TFSA is sheltered from tax. Just be sure not to exceed you contribution room which is different for everyone based on your age.
It is very true that as long as finance is ready, it is always good time to buy "residential" property for own usage. For "investment", that is totally another topic and consideration. Just want to emphasize the difference buying for "residential" purpose or "investment" purpose.
i can say a thousand things about why i disagree with you folks-- but. results matter. i did my own financial correction without you-- debt---free 110%. but i come back to you for friendly reminders. love you folks! all i came to say!
Mom says: “In this house, we don’t talk like that because we are not trash.” Child hears: “Mom is saying Dad must be trash because he talks like that.” When a child is part of both parents, you have to consider how they perceive it. I would stop at “we don’t talk like that in this house”.
Asking him is it a good time to buy a house is like asking a car salesman is it the best time to buy a house. I would just do low ball offers or 15 percent less. Maybe have seller cover some closing cost. Federal reserve just said houses are still to high.
Dave now says "they don't get a vote." :) Correct me if I'm wrong, but Dave used to express that idea, but in different words. The new team rubs off on each other.
Just saw this clip because I watched the previous video - Rachel Cruz show. First 45 seconds here - why does Rachel look so sad/uncomfortable? Just me? Or does she not want to be there? She is usually smiling and bubbly. Total lack of enthusiasm in this moment.
Rachel's comments about the rates not staying this high are immature.. she thinks these rates are not going to stay this high forever She is wrong about how long it's going to be for rates to drop back down to 3%.. I hope nobody seriously takes her advice because she just doesn't know what she's talking about
I'm in BK and just got to 7k saved. Scheduled to save another 3k in Feb. Work the plan. Get debt out of ur life, lower your expenses. Get ur income up. Time to crush!
Your show might be demonetized because you are using copyrighted music downloaded illegally from the internet. You might owe Gerry Rafferty some money for playing Baker Street. You should know better than that, Dave! 😵😵💫😮

I adore this father and daughter’s relationship and the show is excellent with both father and daughter in it.
Dave is the best. Love the Ramsey Show! The show without Dave is not the same. He makes the show interesting
I love that Dave asks people what they do for a living. I wish that the other personalities would ask that of high income earners.
Been missing you, Dave! Looking forward to the entre leadership theme hour!

When a child is part of both parents, you have to consider how they perceive it. I would stop at “we don’t talk like that in this house”.
That's what I thought too. I think "we don't use that language in our house." would suffice.
Maybe dad should not talk like trash.

You can't roll over the whole 529, only up to the Roth limits. Poorly done!
Any amount of money that is rolled over from a 529 plan into a Roth IRA account will be subject to the Roth IRA annual contribution limits.
Totally agree without Dave Ramsey it is just not the same
When Dave said “or they’re arrogant” at 14:45 he had a flashback of someone 😂 you could see it in his eyes

One thing I don’t hear enough is that the wife is responsible for 50 % of the debts even though she contributes less than 50% of the income.
