About ten years ago I saw a video of a six-legged robot with roller-blade sized wheels. It was a homebuilt project, not advanced like this, but it was able to move so smoothly and fast on good surfaces that I was convinced. I have been leaving comments promoting the advantages of wheeled-legs ever since. (BTW: The video disappeared a few years ago, sadly.)

very smart though to do wheels on legs - they can lock up to walk, but also move damn fast on flat ground. maybe you'll even get it to jump high, or very far with a rolling start.
About ten years ago I saw a video of a six-legged robot with roller-blade sized wheels. It was a homebuilt project, not advanced like this, but it was able to move so smoothly and fast on good surfaces that I was convinced. I have been leaving comments promoting the advantages of wheeled-legs ever since.
(BTW: The video disappeared a few years ago, sadly.)

you got it totally right, when your country produce the world #1 movetion sensor, you can put it on a roller skaters leg and capture all live data anf feed it to the dogy to test runa and recallibrate and generate an AI for live data trainning, with enough talented people and equipement, this is exactly what you can get!
