With time and hardwork comes success. Once again thank you for sharing your journey...

Good morning to Waka family. How are you guy’s doing after the massive hurricane in Fiji? When I was a little girl I used to be so scared of hurricane. I still have those memories, never forgotten. I hope and pray to our dear lord father to keep each and every one in prayers. God is great. Oh please tell your wife I love her 🌶🍆🥬🥒🥦🫑garden. She doesn’t need to have green thumb. You have a amazing wife and beautiful children.May god help you, guide you and protect you always. Love from Naaz in U.S.A🌧⛈♥️

Bula Waka Family. Saw your Cyclone Yasa video first. That was very informative. Thank you. My last visit to Vancouver was in March for the 7s Rugby. I live in California but go to watch the 7s in Vancouver. One of the reasons is that awesome crowd of 40,000 rugby fans. All the best and hang in there. bula vinaka. It is a huge challenge to go back and try living in Fiji especially when you havnt experienced it, with your family and then rural in a village settlement. I did something similar with mine however I was brought up in Fiji and lived around a few places in the Pacific before going back to settle for work and it took a while for my wife to adjust. my kids adapted and eventually my wife was settled and we spent 6 years before I moved again to some where new and foreign to my family again. in the end my wife missed Fiji as it was home to us for 6 years and friends memories that we have made over the years. it is one day at a time but I tell you that everything comes to an end and the main thing of all is to enjoy it while you can because one day you will depart again if that is the plan. everyday you got to communicate to her and tell her that accept what it is for now cause if you resent it it will only get harder. I am a believer that sometimes you got to love what you hate to get you through the hard yards. godbless and stay safe.
Totally agree with all of that. Thanks for the thoughtful words. It's like the lyrics to one of my favourite songs recently: "Life is gonna happen one way or another, whether yo like it or not, stop looking for the answer, and you'll find, what you've got." Live in the moment. Tomorrow is not promised:)
This popped up again. So, I rewatched the entire vlog. Wow! So different now. Just feeling sorry for you guys then. You have come a long way. ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
Bula Vinaka you two. My heart went out to you both because I know exactly how you must have felt. I'm an expat in Fiji too and I remember how I felt when I first came into this beautiful land. However, I see that I'm seeing your video after one and half years since it's creation and I'm sure by now you've gotten used to the system and have started to enjoy it. Here's a big HUG from me to your little family
@@WakaFamily I'm from Fiji and lived in BC😁. Spent six years in Victoria. The farthest I got outside Vancouver was Abbotsford, to watch the air show. As you'd imagine, I stuck around Richmond and Surrey whenever I visited the Lower Mainland. Had to remain close to the shops selling Fiji products😁😁. And, yes, I fought the cold every day although BC has Canada's mildest and most beautiful climate😊😊
BULA vinaka Waka Family. Just stumbled upon your Profile, and subscribed. I left Suva nearly 11 years ago, and moving back soon after building two houses and a farm. I tried to adapt here in California, and it took me about two to three years to do it. Proud of you to go home to Macuata. I wish you were near Rakiraki in Ra. I'm inviting you to come home for a visit if you come to Viti Levu sometime when I'm home. 2021 I believe. Vinaka.
Believe me. Once you get the rythem of Island lifestyle, you will hate to live in huge cities. The air is clean, the smiles are abundant, the food is organic, and most of all you are surrounded by people who care for you at no cost....God bless🇵🇬🇵🇬
Bula John from Gold Coast Australia I’m thinking about making the big move back to Fiji as well my family left there 1989 when I was 7 years old I always love going back there I hope your all well and safe over there? 😊🙏
All is well and safe for us and our village. Can't say the same for the rest of Fiji but we're trying our best to extend a helping hand. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT coming tomorrow:) And do come back!
GURLLL DON'T WORRY,YOU WILL DEFINITELY LOVE IT THERE,SAME THING HAPPEND TO LEA(MY COUSINS GF) WHEN SHE CAME TO FIJI FROM SCOTLAND,SHE HAD ALLERGIES AND STUFF BUT I FEW DAYS LATER IT WAS LIKE SHE CHANGED OR SMTH,SHE DIDN'T WANNA GO BACK BUT WHEN SHE DID SHE WAS DEPRESSED FOR 3 MONTHS😆
I really don't know how your family will be able to adjust and live in a rural Fijian village life, especially being brought up from a developed country.........but I wish your family all the best and don't give up.
It’s a pretty crazy idea for sure. But we’re goal setters and goal achievers. So we can do anything because we have set our eyes on the prize! Thanks for watching.
This is the Bukuya village, right? I'm like 99% sure I spent a week in that EXACT bed with the EXACT paint on the wall in 2002. I was traveling by myself and there were like 5 Irish and 3 Brits there. The village was at the very beginning of trying to get a tourist thing going. They said they were literally the last tribe to stop cannibalism, lol. Probably an exaggeration. I have SO MANY GREAT STORIES AND PICS... (and a tattoo done with a thorn and venuli(?) root). I wanted to sleep in a hut, but the villagers kept insisting and pushing me into that room every night and would ask me which girl from the other group I wanted. It was cave man vibes. I had to INSIST that I was fine... but the girls were all good humored about it... oh... and bro. They literally ALL speak English, lol. Anyways, I see this a huge business venture thing? Having only seen this vid, I have no idea what I'm about to step into... I see there's a ton of vids. Are any of them the cliff notes version for me to catch up real quick? Or am I in for hours and hours of view time to figure out what you guys are up to? Kinda excited about this!
