We are in our 50's and have just, in the last few years, started to become addicted to fishing and you've inspired us to be more nature conscious (taking garbage out when we find it, learning about mushrooms, wetting hands before touching fish, just to name a few things). We have a challenge for you! 48 hour - $20 "dollar store" challenge catch and cook! Get limit of 20 (dollar) items in 20 minutes and no other supplies. No poles, tents, things from home.. just 20 things from the dollar store (tax doesn't count) and make your shelter, fire, cooking tools.. water, bedding, lures (no bullet lure this time) etc.. forage, catch and cook!

Stopping the car setting up the camera recording the car go by come back retrieve the camera, now imagine doing that multiple times. With your roll cast, make sure you form the shape of a D with your fly line and fly rod. That D shape should be behind you before you make your cast and the contact patch, where the fly line touches the water MUST be in front of you. When you make your forward cast, think of it as a railway line. You have your fly line on the water in front of you (right side tracks), make your cast parallel with that line and as the line rolls out, it makes the left hand tracks. This would be reverse if someone is left handed of course. Was thinking just yesterday it's been a while since I've watched some NWFS and here you're!
