Don't worry about over-harvesting that asparagus, it's an incredibly hearty plant. That little one you took will grow back to that same size in about a day, they grows amazingly quick. Once it flowers it gets tall and stops growing, but you can harvest from the same stalk over and over again in one season.
i just recently started watching your mountain survival videos and they are so beautiful and amazing!! i love how you care so much for wildlife and never want to disturb them or make them suffer. i have bad anxiety and your videos calm me down, your work is wonderful!! always remember you make so many people happy with your content :) can't wait to watch this one
try the alternate nostril yoga breathing exercise for calming . Learn to meditate , do some yoga ot tai chi . Chamomile is a good calming herb . So is Kava . Try a cool supplement called Bob barefoots coral calcium supreme . Be well and be good
You're an extremely positive guy. I've watched dozens of your videos and don't think I've ever seen you speak a negative word. It's honestly inspiring. I need to work on having this level of optimism lol.
Hands down the channel I look forward to the most on TH-cam.. I love these mountain catch and cooks… great energy positive vibes and very entertaining. Thanks for all you do. The mountain farm is amazing.. very best 🍻
For mountain lakes, you should always have some casting bobbers and flies. It is a clear teardrop shaped bobber that you put about a 3-4 foot leader with a small fly. Cast and retrieve real slow. Mountain can't resist a good bug. Try it when your bullet lure isn't working. Has always worked for me. Love your passion and excitement for the outdoors! Keep it up.
I usually enjoy the “catch & cook” part but honestly, this is one of the video I enjoyed so much for the fact that it’s so informative and educational at the same time! Thank you Lief for rolling out another inspirational and enjoyable video! Please keep them coming! ❤❤❤
I am absolutely addicted to your videos! you gave me the inspiration to go fishing again and have had some success! And I of course yell "bobber down" every time I get one down lol thank you for doing what you do!
What’s so cool is you give a new definition to the word “ detail”. You share a greater amount of “ detail” than most people ever see. I love how you show the depth of everything in your immediate world. I appreciate your knowledge and understanding of the details you share. I must admit, I thought I saw a lot when I was in the forest, but you show your expertise and I thank you for that. It appears that the detail is there if we just take the time to enjoy. Nice video professionally done.
Try this if you weren't already doing it and see if it helps with your Lifestraw experience. To prime a LifeStraw ready for use, you must first uncap the top and bottom of the LifeStraw. You will then need to insert the straw’s base into the contaminated water source and let it sit for 30 seconds. This will give the water time to channel up the internal membrane. After 30 seconds, take five quick and forceful sucks. This will allow the water to start flowing.
Definitely a return trip to forage fish and camp.and the story camp fire idea is a great idea too.great video Leif loved it man.keep being you brother.😊☮️
I just remembered that fishing/camping/etc wasn't the only thing that enticed me to watch your videos but also the mountain views. I really, really want to learn painting and I want to use some of your clips of the mountain as a reference someday. If you'll let me, of course. 😊
What a nice episode, worth watching as a docu series in any streaming platform. So much emotions, suspense, some drama... It's a dream life for me. I'd be your cameraman for free without hesitation, the experience has to be the best payout ever. ❤
what a fun and relaxing adventure this was to watch, and the environment is so inspirational and beautiful. Thank you so much for your content it is always amazing to see a video from you.
I started watching your videos a few months ago. I've always been intrigued by the wild, and watching your videos just makes me even more eager to get out there. You have such great energy and great morals when out in the wild. Keep it up man we love you!
This was great as usual and I’d definitely watch the next attempt at this location with woods stories! Thanks for sharing your adventures, and spreading your positive energy!
Let’s go! I’m just a stones throw away. That sounds creepy. 😂 You are doing a great job bringing everyone with you. This entire process is crazy difficult just getting up up there with cameras. Hats off to you man. Good stuff! Keep goin 💯👍
Honestly props to you, if I was about to embark on a journey and a hawk grasping a serpent started circling overheard, I'm not even stopping to think about what that portends, I'm immediately turning around and getting my ass home, I know an omen when I see one lol.
Leif, I love your videos! Always really happy to see a new one posted. Yoour content is so interesting, and I always learn something new. Sorry the trout got away this time, but I know you Germans love your asparagus! 😂
This video was extra special, i REALLY loved all the mushroom and plant foraging you did and how you explained it all while going through the process of foraging.
Went fishing for the first time this year today (went with dad), caught a bass after five minutes (small guy, let him go). Definitely looking forward to doing some more fishing!
Love your videos. The angle of your GoPro freaks me out when your on the side of a mountain as it appears you're way the heck up there with nothing to stop you from falling if you slip. I can't wait for another backpacking adventure. Thanks for your positive videos.
Leif! I keep forgetting to tell you! The way you make tacos is not normal. Cheese in the pan first then the tortilla!? Your crazy! I finally tried it and it was absolutely amazing😱total gamechanger. I am hooked. Brilliant work my man.
one thing i noticed in this episode was the music deviation from other episodes that occurred at about 14:20. giving your episodes a new kind of theme, while still revisiting some old ones of course, could be a great way to showcase each new season or location/area. Just a production thought
Awesome video, always so happy to see that notification on my phone. Hoping to be back from work at to get some summer hiking in... Have to try out the new back packing tent we got on sale from REI.... Mountains and fish here I come! Fish on baby!
The terrain reminds me of where I spent time in Colorado in my teens... So much fun hiking around and YES there was that slight "fear" of rattlers under the rocks or brush. I mostly did day-hiking at that time so didn't get into foraging until I moved back out West to Oregon/Washington. That is really awesome that you also spent time in Germany, I made 4 trips over spread out over a 6 year period... Mostly around the Neckar River area... but also the hills near Baden-Baden exploring old ruins... Very fond memories! Thanks for the fresh and entertaining videos!
Yes on coming back and fishing both lakes and camping and NW Bigfoot stories by the fire. I have similar issues with life straw, I think the pump water filters work better.
Thing I love about your videos are they are long so that means I get to watch them through the day which is a treat and thank you for making these videos keep re movin
Fox Mountain is rugged. The last two wild fires there decimated the rattlesnake population. I've seen 5 snakes on the road between your house and the mailboxes. Your neighbor, John has gotten big at least once. Love the videos you produce. Thanks.
Gourmet mountain meal! Thanks Leif fot another catch n cook. Would definitely like to see you go back to that lake after it serrles down from the silty runoff. Keep up the go videos. God Bless n Fish on!
WoW !! Fun adventure Leif, thanks for taking us. Great shots of the scenery, and nice info about that Beautiful area its habitat and wild life. Can't wait to see the next adventure . 🥰✌
these videos are just so beautiful and peaceful it makes my day. Its my dream to get out into the mountains like this and appreciate, respect and live off of natures beauty. thank you Leif for the inspiration. much love
Another awesome video! I use that lifestraw when I travel abroad, one thing I noticed that helped with the flow is each time you’re done using it, blow the water that is inside back out the end. Hope that helps!
Stories are always welcome in my book. Yes please do share stories. Also stay safe out there bro. Nature can be really beautiful but can also be really scary come night time.
20:24 - a still of that eagle landing with talons hitting right on the deer carcass... my goodness what an amazing shot. Shout out to your soundtrack after descending the mountain - trumpets and brass section...glorious drone shot - very well done as always Leif.
I would absolutely love to see some more of the fishing footage from under the surface of the water. Those videos are always so peaceful, it was amazing watching the bass and other fish swimming through. Unfortunately haven’t seen many morels around my area but definitely have lots of pheasant back mushrooms! Asparagus are also going absolutely insane in my area right now as well!
Ohhh them fish and beavers are getting the rumor from lil chipmunk that there was a wandering giant on the land. Gotta be careful with the beaver fever. Can't wait to see what happens next!! Keep the healthy state and we move on forward!
Ich liebe deine aufgeschlossene Persönlichkeit so sehr! Es macht so Spaß dir beim erleben neuer Abenteuer zuzusehen. Sehr interessantes Video, weiter so🫶🏾💪🏽
What would be a cool add on for these survival videos if you hunted some of those quail! They are very tasty and would be perfect with some of those trout!
Awesome video. Definitely keep exploring there. Love the beauty in the area. It's great to find the veg you found, how exciting that you can hunt, and forage there. Thanks Leif 😊 ❤❤❤❤
Nothing wrong with eating beaver once in awhile 🤣😂
😏 👌🏼
Please tell us your scary stories or encounters!
I like what you did there lmfao
Long time no see ive seen u on the green river back in the day",keep up the good work
Just make sure the beaver is not too fishy...😛🤮
Don't worry about over-harvesting that asparagus, it's an incredibly hearty plant. That little one you took will grow back to that same size in about a day, they grows amazingly quick. Once it flowers it gets tall and stops growing, but you can harvest from the same stalk over and over again in one season.
I hate how expensive it is at the grocery store

haha yeah we all have bad days but they're not worth dwelling over. Too many good memories to make out there ⛰ 🎣 :)
The amount of respect you have for everything is amazing and unreal!!!!

Yes, do a video tell all on your day and night outings of what you see and hear of the wild wilderness, looking forward to that vlog for sure.....
I am absolutely addicted to your videos! you gave me the inspiration to go fishing again and have had some success! And I of course yell "bobber down" every time I get one down lol thank you for doing what you do!

Anybody else just patiently wait for a new upload and instantly get ecstatic when they open TH-cam and it’s the first thing they see 😂
Survival mission Sunday! Let’s go! Pumped for a new episode dude🤘🎣🔥

"one Morel, not bad", most would say "darn, only one morel"; love your positive attitude. Never seen asparagus in the wild; that was awesome.
I'm due for an adventure like this. Thanks for taking us along man
Thanks for joining! 🎣

@Uno_Card9 more minutes of fishing than you have on your channel besides I said that 5 days ago
Let’s go! I’m just a stones throw away.
That sounds creepy. 😂
You are doing a great job bringing everyone with you.
This entire process is crazy difficult just getting up up there with cameras. Hats off to you man. Good stuff! Keep goin 💯👍
Haha I'm glad you enjoy it. Honestly I love the challenge! 🎥 ⛰
This is why we need more nationals parks. This stuff is therapy.
Honestly props to you, if I was about to embark on a journey and a hawk grasping a serpent started circling overheard, I'm not even stopping to think about what that portends, I'm immediately turning around and getting my ass home, I know an omen when I see one lol.
lol I'm dying 🤣 probably smart but to me it seemed like a call to the mountain 😜
This guy just knows so much about nature and it’s so inspiring love to buy a bullet Luer sometime when you make them
For those who want to know. Leif is the same guy in person as he is in the videos. Had the pleasure of meeting him last year in Westport.

I was about to go to bed when I saw the new upload notification. Time to go sit on the toilet and watch until my legs fall asleep! Cheers!
Glad I’m not the only one that loses feeling in the legs after a toiled TH-cam sesh 😂

Yes on coming back and fishing both lakes and camping and NW Bigfoot stories by the fire. I have similar issues with life straw, I think the pump water filters work better.
Scary stories for sure 🔥 👀 yeah I like my old MSR MiniWorks and Sawyer Mini way more…
The odds of him seeing a hawk who literally just caught food is crazy, such a sight! I wish I would’ve saw it in person 🙏🏼

Fox Mountain is rugged. The last two wild fires there decimated the rattlesnake population. I've seen 5 snakes on the road between your house and the mailboxes. Your neighbor, John has gotten big at least once.
Love the videos you produce. Thanks.
Make sure you blow out hard after you use the lifestraw each time. That’s likely why it’s hard for you to drink through it.
Gourmet mountain meal! Thanks Leif fot another catch n cook. Would definitely like to see you go back to that lake after it serrles down from the silty runoff. Keep up the go videos. God Bless n Fish on!

What would be a cool add on for these survival videos if you hunted some of those quail! They are very tasty and would be perfect with some of those trout!
Definitely need to do scary stories by the campfire, it's a much-needed episode!!!
These are my favorite episodes! I'd love to see you get back out there.
Watching you eat the wild asparagus made me drool. Love every episodes.

this bro is legend love and peace from turkey ❤
Earthy flavors! We were so close to the magical “earthy undertones” tagline! 🍄
nice.. new video. Can't wait to go home and chill with this. only 2 hours more to go home.
Should take those asparagus seeds this spring and sprout them, then plant them so you can get the maximum potential off them this summer👍🏼
