I like the "I'm not a nerd, I just know things".😁 Liked the arch in the hallway and the placement of those doorknobs is about normal for the way they are here, in the US. Cool find!

What you called a old beater is a milk shake mixer. Medication is good for one year after it is dispensed.Off the shelf is up to two years. That house was quite large inside even though it looked much smaller from the outside.Very nice early 1900's home.
Just found your you tube channel x very interesting, a peek into the past with respect to the property, thank you for sharing and will be watching some more x
Hey Linda thanks heaps for that info as I was thinking the Archway in the hall definitely looked from that 1910-1920 period where the hallways went right through from back door to front door! :-)
You do such a great job of showing us the details in your explores. It keeps me interested in your channel. The house was pretty old...fireplaces in main rooms, high ceilings, old skeleton key door, etc. Sad what happened to leave the home. They even moved out not leaving a mess. This house had good "bones". As usual really enjoyed your find and your attention to detail that you shared with us. Encore!
I reckon the house was probably condemed after the fire and they either weren't allowed to take anything or decided it wasn't worth the bother because the smoke got into everything. Or they owned it and it cost to much to repair after the fire so they abandoned it. Thanks for showing us around. Im Aussie myself and didn't think there were this many abandoned places around here.
Hey Melissa good to see a few more fellow Aussies in the comments! :-) I think your correct with youe assessment, I too would not bother with any smoke damaged goods either. Some farmer would have been renting it and it would not be worth their while or high priority fixing it even with insurance. Lots of abandoned places both in city and country areas!!!! lol. Thanks for watching
Wasn’t it ironic to see a fire extinguisher sitting in the kitchen? Never saw a kitchen with those colors. Loved the Pink Floyd cup holder on the mantel. The TVs were for sure not flat screens! Hope the family all survived the fire 🔥. Great explore as always Urbex Indigo! Also appreciated the geography lesson. Thanks

He thought I was there to tell him its time to demolish the home. haha. I reassured him i`m just taking photos. He showed me inside but i did not film as it was his space and he had fresh fruit and bottled water. He was very friendly and said there were 2 others living there too at one stage. They move about a bit. homeless obviously. He sat in his room sketching pictures. :-) He had a radio too, and he turned it on when he heard me call out.

Hi Mark, I'm guessing the original front half was built about 1920 ( based on door style, height and Handle/lock height) and the rear half in the 1940s ( based on the patterned brick work ). The pine lining boards have probably been added to make the place look older but also in general just much nicer.
Hey Julie i`m glad you said that because I wanted to date it back that far but hesitated. Definitely before the Art deco movement happened. Thanks for watching and your knowledge :-)
Hey Paul...I'm thinking it may have been built in the early 1920s? I love the internal arch in the hallway. Ive found many great examples of them on Pinterest. I love the huge kitchen. What a "sad shame that lovely home's end came to that. That family pic is a sad reminder...but I wonder why they left it behind?
Sandy I agree with the age you say, definitely just before the Art Deco boom! :-0 I`m guessing they left it for perhaps a house memory or they did not see it under that thing.
Good find Indigo, is that a real leather sofa or that vinyl stuff. The wood in that room looks like what we call knotty pine used alot here in the US in the 50's .
I love it, is it perhaps Sears and Roebuck house. I know that they sold plans for a one story house. I have one of those old mixer. That's funny, mine is black, it still has its cup.
I just hope everyone got out ok! I'm surprised the fire dept got their in time to put it out. I can't believe the whole house didn't burn down. Pretty big house! Loved the paneling as always. Wood, wood, wood for me!😉 The hutch was really nice. Too bad you can't or won't salvage some of that stuff. As always,👍👍from me. 3/25/19
The place looked as if it was a thriving watering hole for the locals at one point. It must have been one of those places where everybody knew one another and came there to socialize and have a few drinks. It's such a shame that it closed down and all that's left are the memories on the wall and a collapsing roof.
You have a new subscriber, thanks to your consistently brilliant content. That kitchen had a very 1920s country look to its arrangement and design. It has clearly been through some eras along the way. The heater had something of an Art Deco feel to it, but the general house design is very 1900/1920s in room arrangement and hallways. It was a very well built home and has stood up well despite the fire. It really is a shame they didn’t repair it after the fire as it had a lot of life left in it. Thanks for sharing this lovely find with us. Stay safe out there.🖤🇨🇦
My pleasure for sharing these videos Tamarra! Thanks so much for subbing too! :-) Yes this home has more to give if the back end is knocked down. Thanks for your knowledge on the eras, I like you guys telling me what is up in these homes as I`m still learning haha :-)
Urbex Indigo I love that you are actually interested in the architectural eras, and that you just talk to us like we are there with you. I kept finding myself watching your videos, liking and commenting, so subbing was really a no brainer...you deserve way more subs than you have yet...but there are many more like me out here. I love that you keep it real, and work to improve...good traits.🖤🇨🇦
Lovely big house badly fire damaged, lots of Star trek Next generation on VHS video tapes. Family moved out. lots of stuff left. Nice display cabinet in one room, needs saving
Hopefully someone can bring a trailer up the driveway and save that cabinet William, very good condition. And the Star Trek videos too of course!!! :-)
As you walked up the drive the house seemed a mile long, it was lol. Built in different time periods oldest being at the front of the house? Thanks for sharing.
@@urbexindigo5164 sad it had the fire - could probably be salvaged with some major repairs to the office and tear off the burned area. The entire house could use a freshen up however if its like the US, people would just rebuild and tear down the old. 😞
I lived in an old farm house, set way back from the road. To make matters worse..it was an old dirt road. At least we tried having it graveled. I bogged my F-150 truck..twice when my timing was off ...trying to speed over the dip in the drive. "N" spite of the driveway and the house being really old..I loved it..but my ex husband was scared to live there..because of things pushing him, seeing dark vapour forms and hearing things. seems they were in process of clearing out and gave the last load a miss. I wondered if it might have been a Chimney fire. Probably deemed unfit for habitation. Good explore!!
Hey Gary! From that back section it looked to be from the wash house, that is where the toilet was when I first started speaking. If it were renters they would just start over somewhere else. This place will prob rot away.
That was quite a large house, and a nice one in its day. I think the fire brought all that to an end however. When it comes to smoke damage alone for something as large as that rear burned section, it was a serious issue- The occupants left rather hastily - maybe many of possessions were moved out by people other than those occupants- for how else can be explained the left behind family photo or the stuffed animal. I don't think anyone died in the fire- unless things are a lot different in Australia than in the US. The authorities here would have festooned the place as a crime scene, police tapes and warnings all about- the Health Department would have posted "condemned' signs---- we have done demolition in such buildings and it is never a pleasant task to do the initial walk thru's... you can feel death hanging heavily about these buildings- and my looking at this house and how it was left I didn't get that feeling. I don't know if the fire brigade tore up the roof- it was quite a mess, and shows what happens when a roof goes- the ceilings collapse quickly and the place becomes condemned overnight. My guess is the insurance company- if there was insurance- wrote it all off as a total loss- hence why the occupants felt little compulsion to return. A sad mystery, but thanks for sharing it .
Hey ana thanks for watching again :-) I think they got the insurance too most likely, hopefully started again elsewhere :-) This house is still sitting like this only weeks ago stil. Cheers again ana :-)
Probably more trouble and labor would have to be expended to restore this home to a livable condition. however there is some furniture etc that would (with permission) be well worth the effort to remove and reuse. If the structure were ever demoed it would also be worth the effort to salvage the usable wood. I think that he only difference between you location and mine is an ocean and a Northern continent. Good luck at ya brother !
Hey J.R. :-) Some of thestuff woud be worth salvaging for sure but I just like to film and move on. I doi know in the cities the demo teams send in a salvage crew pick the place appert for re sale materials. :-)
Hey Ralph!I reckon around 20`s and 30`s too now as I have discovered that electricity came in around 1923/24 in this part of the country and this home looks to have been built to incorporate the wiring and not adapted to it. :-)
It seemed to me there were additions to the house many years after it was first built (1905 yr house was built perhaps?). The archway in hall is gorgeous. The microwave and the Sunbeam electric beater retro late 60's?? Great video! Thank you for sharing with us.
Hey GITM thanks for watching :-)The archway is actually a good way to confirm or mostly confirm it was built around 1910 for sure.:-) Additions on the back for sure! :-)
Mate it’s ok to know the names of the Star Trek crew ,,who didn’t enjoy seeing Deanna Troi cutting around in that tight outfit.I probably would’ve souvenired that pink Floyd stubbie cooler but . Good work my man .

Hey Tessa! Sorry to hear your not well. Glad you are enjoying these videos as I love making them. So good to get back to just basics and explore something :-)
Huge house and I'm thinking built around 1910ish. Shoulda left your hand print in the nail sculpture thingy that was on the wedding picture :D I wouldn't be surprised if it's sitting idle because of insurance if it was only a couple of years ago the fire happened?
Great video. Beautiful house at one time. Was there an indoor bathroom? I'm thinking someone was renting the house and had to move after the fire. Maybe owner decided it needed too much work and just left it like it was. They had the Star Trek tapes but I didn't see a player for them. Could have left them because they couldn't watch them any more. Might not be worth saving but a lot of it can be salvaged and reused.
Hey KIm thanks for watching! :-) The Bathroom and toilet were in the burnt section at the back, was not pretty at all. :-) And there were actually 3 VHS players in a box but they didnt make the final video cut! :-)
Another nice explore. I hope no one died there. Shame it wasn't fixed up. Maybe a dryer fire ? Maybe the date on the fire bottle could help with date of the home.
Yeah the fire was out in the laundry and bathroom area, glad it did not take the main section! I think they got out fine just without their home.......:-0
Hi Cassopolis Rice, thanks for watching! :-) The bathroom was the very first section at the back where the really badly burnt area was, I did not really focus on it as it was the just so bad. there was also a laundry along that first burnt back porch hall way. :-)

Loved the paneling as always. Wood, wood, wood for me!😉 The hutch was really nice. Too bad you can't or won't salvage some of that stuff.
As always,👍👍from me.

The place looked as if it was a thriving watering hole for the locals at one point. It must have been one of those places where everybody knew one another and came there to socialize and have a few drinks. It's such a shame that it closed down and all that's left are the memories on the wall and a collapsing roof.
You could be right Smug Smugly. Cheers for watching :-)
Great old house, makes you wonder who lived there and where are they now.
I really like the warm look of the wood in the hallway with the white doors
As you walked up the drive the house seemed a mile long, it was lol. Built in different time periods oldest being at the front of the house? Thanks for sharing.
Very deceiving house Donelle, I was not expecting much so it was a nice surprise even with partial fire. :-)
I never did..but the only thing that creeperd me out..was when my dog kept looking at the wall behind me..with his tail down. I never saw him act scared UNTILL then.

I've never encountered any paranormal ..except maybe my poor pooch!? I don't believe in ghost but I do believe they're evil spirits out there and that...they're cruel and like to terrorise people.
Nice house . Spooky though. Where did they go . Thank you for the tour .
I`m guessing they got there hell out and maybe came back to collect some furniture......or looters did. Bit of a mystery though. Cheers for watching Gloria :-)
seems they were in process of clearing out and gave the last load a miss.
Great video! I loved that archway in the hallway.
Me too mary! And those arches are a good indicator that it was built around 1910-1920 ish :-)
I love those internal arches as well,! I have tons of them on my Pinterest account. Most are in Queenslander homes. But elsewhere..as well.
great find
welcome back my mate long time no here let's do this thing i was thinking thirtyish!!!
Hey Ralph!I reckon around 20`s and 30`s too now as I have discovered that electricity came in around 1923/24 in this part of the country and this home looks to have been built to incorporate the wiring and not adapted to it. :-)
Very cool love old country homes. Why you dont showyourself? Been watching your shows couple years. From louisiana. We enjoy your shows alot
Wow, looks like a squatters paradise.
Yep and lucky it is way out on a coutry road away fromthe cities otherwiswe it prob be smashed up. Thanks for watching Letit bemee :-)
Great video! Is this on the princess hwy?
Hi Sharn, yes hehe :-) Thanks for watching
The hopes, the dreams, the memories.......all left behind. You captured it beautifully, once again.
Thanks Beverly! I`m glad you enjoyed and I thank you for the support :-)
In that last room when you opened a door, there were some pictures on it. I don't think you noticed.
Hi Esther no I did not notice that ! Cheers for pointing that out and for watching :-)
Blue and pink paintwork in the kitchen, abandoned "Sunbeam" milkshake maker on the kitchen cabinet
awesome vid ty..
Hey Leem kiwiland thanks for watching and cheers from Aussieland! :-)
Mate it’s ok to know the names of the Star Trek crew ,,who didn’t enjoy seeing Deanna Troi cutting around in that tight outfit.I probably would’ve souvenired that pink Floyd stubbie cooler but . Good work my man .
Haha and lets forget "Seven of Nine" in Star Trek Voyager! :-) The Pink Floyd stubby holder was cool indeed :-) Cheers for watching mate :-)
Thanks for these video, Beautiful location! 👍👍👍up mate👊
Cheers guys! Will get over and catch up on your explores too! :-)
Wow lots of stuff there still. Again nice find mate👍
Hey mate! Yeah this one is back in Victoria on a lonesome highway......:-) Cheers for watching
I think maybe there was a bed downstairs as many old people can't climb stairs he had his bed downstairs. It's sad that his kids didn't think enough of him to come clear out his house. I really enjoy your videos the ones from the castles with the opulent furniture and clocks etc.
Such a shame these beautiful old homes get left to rot like they do. The teddy bear made me feel sad.
Hey Tessa! :-) Yes and if this one sits too long the water will rot it through! Thanks for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 I ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS, I USED TO EXPLORE LIKE THIS BUT I'M NOT WELL ENOUGH NOW, SO YOU SHOW ME PLACES I'D PROBABLY HAVE LOOKED AT MYSELF IF I WAS STILL OUT THERE. SOME GREAT FINDS, AND SOME SAD ONES TOO. THANK YOU😁
Hey Tessa! Sorry to hear your not well. Glad you are enjoying these videos as I love making them. As kids and even teenagers back in the day we`d be snooping around in any old buildings or farm houses that were empty and love it. I never would have thought there was such a love for it online and even be known as ""Urban Exploring"" haha, so it like revisiting my youth somewhat also.
Hey Mike! Yeah I agree around 1910 too. Before Art Deco took off anyway. I had no idea what that spikey thing was!!! lol Cheers for watching :-)
Nice vid Mate!!
Hey Rick cheers mate! Thanks for watching :-)
Was that a double door nob I had seen or am l seeing things.
Hi K, I will have to go back and have a look now! haha :-)
Love the intro tune and a Great video , ;-)
Hey P.E. cheers for watching, glad you enjoyed! :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 That is good to hear. Maybe they had insurance & moved to a new home with that.
The house I would say is Vintage early 1900's .. Very Interesting!
Hey Terry cheers for watching :-)
My Pleasure and enjoyment....
Long hallway lots left behind too
"I'm not a nerd, I just know stuff!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Happy Halloween mate! Interesting house, too bad it got damaged by the fire.
Hey Sally A. yep too bad but just glad it did not take the mai section at least :-)
the wood is really pretty. I wonder if they had intended to restore the house and make the wood a focal point.
Do u ever hear from anyone who happens to watch and its their house? Or they know who lived there
Only once R Wilson and thankfully they were fine with it haha :-)
Oh, I forgot, my mixer still works. They let me try it out at the antique store.
Yep no bathroom! Unless it was in the burnt bit. How sad, another waste. If the walls could talk!
Hey Shannon the bathroom was part ofthe badly burnt back section and not much to look at. Thanks for watching :-)
The boxart for Australia's Star Trek TNG VHS's look way more cool than the art on the American released tapes. I'm jealous 😂
That's strange, they left some good stuff behind that did not been touch by the fire.
Maybe too painful to go back La Matante, thanks for watching :-)
I would have thought that the house be fixed up and reivated and sold to a couple or family at a reasonable price. Stephen
Im really curious why there isn't a bathroom but they had a laundry room (fire damaged area)?
Hi Cassopolis Rice, thanks for watching! :-) The bathroom was the very first section at the back where the really badly burnt area was, I did not really focus on it as it was the just so bad. there was also a laundry along that first burnt back porch hall way. :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 Right right I don't blame you ;-) And thanks for giving me such great material to watch!! I especially love that you share my passion for the more vintage homes and features. I've been binge watching all your videos for2 days now LoL
You definitely have a new super fan
BTW what the hell is the deal with all the doors that like to open and shut on you? Cracks me the hell up HAHAHA
Haha awesome! Thanks heaps for subbing and binging!!! :-) I do love the old ones even if there is not much left inside, I find it interesting still. I just uploaded one now, "Grow House, the house of WEED!" haha
@@urbexindigo5164 Very Nice!! ON MY WAY NOW!!!
Hi I'm watching ur video... From Malaysia😊
Hey Erfan Khan thanks for watching! :-) Cheers from Australia :-)
I love the cabinet, it's quite beautiful.
That was an albuterol inhaler in one of the drawers. With lung disease, living in a smoke damaged home impossible. Hopefully they were well insured, and now have star trek on DVD
Haha yes, they would have hated to leave their start trek collection behind!!! Hard to tell where or how the family is fairing now Mermaid. Hopefully happy. Cheers for watching :-)
