@@auliarizky3693 not sure what you mean! Most seasons are their own canon and completely separate. So like Adventure 99, 02 and Tri are the same canon, then Tamers is its own thing, Frontier is its own thing, Xros Wars etc

Angoramon is pretty awesome. I loved how agile and powerful he turned out to be. He's still not immediately FAST, but he's also not lumbering. That bunny hop up the building into the drop was beautiful.
Can we just appreciate that when Hiro got back from retrieving the Digivice-V, Ruli was cuddling with Gammamon whilst they waited 😪😪

I dont want to continually compare to Adventure 2020 (because I didnt hate 2020, just didnt love it either) but it feels like Ghost Game is doing so much completely opposite of how they did things in 2020 and I am absolutely hooked on this season. Slow plot progression and learning about the situation rather than running head first into everything, giving characters other than the main protag time to shine alone rather than alongside the main protag, and not making episodes 50%+ fight scenes. Loving Ghost Game so much and every week I can't wait for the next episode.
Yeah it really seems to be following the complete opposite philosophy!

Okay, to be honest I liked the fact that Ghost Game went and showed us how the team comes together instead of focusing heavily on just one for the main story.
I hope all the Digimon and Tamers can interact with each other more often like how they did in this episode and not just with their respective partners. That was the highlight of the episode for me

Loving the series so far. I liked how Hiro wasn’t part of the episode. It really felt like he was a secondary character. That felt really different compared to Adventure 2020. Also, Dracomon coming from Xros Wars is cool. I rather them use older Digimon in a new light, rather than making a new one just for the episode.

This show did body horror so well this week and I like the idea of Dracumon being a recurring villain maybe evolving as his line are based on horror monsters. I do like they are taking their time with the characters in this show which having a smaller cast does help with.
Agreed, this episode gave me the creeps, especially the part about that woman whose hair was growing out of control and basically choking her slowly to death!
I have this theory that both Clockmon and Dracmon are gonna be like rival villains Clockmon to Hiro and Gammamon while Dracmon with Ruli and Angoramon and that and in the half end of the season they will face each others final digivolutions. I'm suspecting that Kiyoshiro will also have one with Jellymon to round out that trio
The story has bee really great so far, even small things like Hiro getting in touch with Ruli because he saw Angoramon the other episode, or Angoramon hinted at being around Ruli when she couldn't see.
And they already started building up the reveal of Jellymon too, can't wait for that.

I love Angoramon, design wise. From his size and width, you'd assume he'd be a Champion level. But him being a Rookie was a surprise.
Kinda the opposite of Gatomon in a way, a Champion whom looks like a Rookie.

@@gustavju4686 the personalities of the partner digimon this season are a lot like the ones from tamers. Gammamon= Guilemon, Angoramon=Renamon, and I'm guessing that the jellyfish one will be similar to terriermon.

Needs to be more careful while taking a selfie these days, this episode explained this in a very effective way. Also, Dracmon is voiced by Kōki Miyata, who voiced DemiDevimon in OG, both of them likes compensates for their low power with treachery and dirty tricks. Imagine if he goes to works for Myotismon (If he is going to be in this series) after this...

I've been rewatching thr original series recently and when I heard Dracmon talk i was wondering if it was DemiDevimon at first
Myotismon would be cool, but imagine GranDracmon! Not many people know about it, and it could make for an incredible villain!
GranDracmon is more focused on knowledge and manipulation.
Or we could have Dracmon digivolve and cause lots of trouble along the way as Sangloupmon. Maybe he's even ultimately reasoned with, as it says that Sangloupmon has a noble nature, perhaps it helps the team by sucking knowledge out of evil Digimon's digicores, being an asset to the team while still unnerving them (since destroying a Digimon's digicore is basically destroying them and the team believes destroying a Digimon, even if evil, is basically immoral).
Maybe Dracmon does actually become solid at some point and find a human "partner" kind of how Crowmon had his human "partner". Once that happens Dracmon could potentially manipulate the human into making him stronger somehow, helping Dracmon digivolve further and further.
There's a whole lot of things you could do with Dracmon, and he just has so much potential, and since gaining knowledge through the destruction of other Digimon is so prevalent in Dracmon's line I personally just think that GranDracmon would fit slightly better than Myotismon.
Obviously this is all personal opinion, and I know a whole lot of people would like Myotismon to appear, but this is just what I think.
No acknowledgement of the cute moments of Gammamon jumping on Angoramon twice with one of the moments showing from Ruli point of view Gammamon just floating in mid-air for hugging an invisible digimon.

Having Ruli be alone for the first part of the episode was a good decision; it highlights how Ruli is facing this terrifying event completely alone and makes the viewer worry for her. Poor kid. The parts where Dracmon is watching her through the cameras are pretty spooky.
They are continuing to do characterization quite well. Hiro once again shows himself to be very clever, using what Angoramon told him to trick Dracmon out of the phone with the Digivice, then pointing out that, even if Dracmon could find a Tamer for itself, it wouldn't be able to carry the Digivice to said Tamer.

With every new episode, Ghost Game continues to make 2020 look even more of a hollow mess. Like they actually saw what wasn't working and tried to fix it for this.
Ruri herself already comes across as the most promising girl since Ruki. Hopefully she won't suffer the same problem the likes of Nene did over the the span of the series.

Great that they took that spotlight away from Hiro and Gabe to give a proper introduction to Rui and her partner Angroamon.
Though I had hoped for Dracumon/Dracmon to be deleted, I guess the gang will learn the hard that some foes need nothing short but a complete deletion to ensure the safety of others.
THe way this eps. was shot with Ruli being stalked by an invisible for is so creepy! And Angoramon is a giant ball of fluff and protection.
Absolutely blown away by the direction this series is taking. The art style, the characters and overall tone is so intoxicating. And of course... more content from you is always great. Such a good time to be a Digimon fan.

I absolutely loved this episode. I'm a huge Angoramon fan. I absolutely love that gammamon was not in the whole episode. Giving the other characters room to breathe and grow.

Angoramon really has little to no experience with humans, so he doesn’t know how resilient they are, so it makes why he went all out.
The writers are getting pretty into this series, I'm definitely looking forward to Hiro's character development but it's nice they took a step back from him to introduce the next main character. Angoramon's character is also just a bundle of joy on screen. It had no idea it would get so much stronger from becoming Ruli's partner and it was satisfying to watch it grow in just one episode.

I was expecting ep 3 to pick up right where the last one left off. So i thought the first minutes were outta place or maybe a flashback. But after a bit I understood what they were doing and it felt refreshing. Ruri has potential and the other mc keeps saying paranormal stuff happens around him so maybe jellymon has been messing with him, these past episodes
I think Dracmon was “stealing” body parts from humans to be able to manifest. After the full 48 hours, Dracmon would be able to manifest that body part into the real world.
Oh that's really interesting! Hair, legs, hands...huh!

sounds right, especially since one of the common tropes in japanese vampire myths is about finding all of dracula's chunks, including his eyes. interesting to see if hiro collects any other parts from other digimon.
1 second of Gammamon cures the empty void inside me. And it was excellent how they are balancing screen time with other important characters
I am absolutely loving this season. It’s the first time that I’ve been so excited for a Digimon season since I was a little 5 year old kid waking up early on Saturday mornings to watch the original Digimon Adventure (except now I’m watching it late at night on Sundays lol). I feel the same connection with Ruli now that I did with Sora when I was little and it makes me super happy.
Me too! I can only hope that more people who fell off Digimon (or never watched) will give this season a chance because so far it’s very special!
Angoramon is a fluffy boy and it was really good how angoramon and ruli have chemistry and ruli not being afraid of angoramon lol
Of all the things I like about this episode, the one thing I love the most is that this episode did a better job to show pro and cons about current technology than what Appmon could do for 50+ episodes without constantly talking down to it’s audience.
Yeah there is a very pre school patronizing element of Appmon. I like the show but I can see that!
What I'm hoping for is that these antagonist Digimon that survive don't just reappear in their current state, but also Digivolve in pace with the partner Digimon they were introduced alongside (ie, something like Dracumon > Vilemon > Vamdemon/Myotismon). I like the dynamic of each one having a particular archenemy, and Digivolution as a means of keeping them relevant through the show - maybe even joining up with a team of 'Dark Digidestined' to achieve that end? That'd be a hell of an upset to the formula.
Yeah I want these villains to not just return but continue to challenge us! So much potential

The episodes use current technologies in interesting ways that you wouldn’t see in the old series. Angoramon seems to be cultured in the arts too lol
I like how the team for the Digimon anime are diving into the backlog of Digimon materials from before, Dracumon is a Digimon in Digimon Cybersleuth: Hacker's Memories (at least that's where I recognize it from) and this episode sort of has Dracumon reference one of the cases you can take on in Hacker's Memories. One of the cases you can take on in Hacker's memories has your clients meeting up to play as child versions of themselves in a modified server in the game's VR setting that's treated a core part of the world, the case you take on in that server has the clients being confused as to how someone they don't recall but is mysteriously familiar showed up to play with them, it turns out it was Dracumon that was far more benign than the one in the episode that just wanted to play with them that took piece of their avatar codes and dropped in copies of those fragments to make its own human avatar skin to play with your clients.
Now, I know the Dracumon in the show is more malicious, and the information you manage to get in your database on different Digimon in Hacker's memory even goes as far to state that Dracumon usually tend to lean more on the malicious side of things (like the one we see in Ghost Game) but I like to think that Digimon, like everything else, have individuals among them with personality traits that deviate from the norm of that particular Digimon or Digimon line. We often only see one member of a particular Digimon, even though it is stated or implied that there are quite a few members of that particular Digimon somewhere out there, but the first one we see we are led to believe is within the norm for that particular Digimon.
The Angoramon that is Ruri's partner, I believe, is a likely one of its kind that deviates from the norms of other Angoramon. Angoramon is also a reference to angora rabbits, a breed rabbit you can buy as a pet that is known for its extremely soft fur. Amusingly enough, angora cats also exist, mostly by way of the Turkish Angora. And I can see some cat-like features in Angoramon, but it's mostly the rabbit features we see. And then there is the Angora Goat, a breed of goat known for its soft fur, Angoramon's ears are kind of styled in a way to resemble a goat's horns. Angora Rabbits are usually characteristically small, by pet rabbit/bunny standards, but Turkish Angoras, the cat breed I mentioned earlier, are characterized as being on the larger side for the average house cat; so that might explain a few things about Angoramon we've seen and heard so far.

considering his mega evolution Grand Dracunon is considered to be the king of vampire digimons it make sense why he is named after Dracula.
Either dracmon is the big bad for the series and we get grandracmon or he's the impmon and we get a nice redemption arc. Either way, glad to see him in the anime as a potential recurring character.

...on a serious note though,I really like how Angoramon shares Gaomon's VA (kazuya nakai), since both are beast-like type and fight in close combat.
It's honestly a breath of fresh air that Ruri partnered with a Digimon that's not really a feminime in term of personality/appearance, last time we had this is with Miyako/Yolei with Hawkmon on Digimon 02, cmiiw.
Also how Ghost game's choosen childrens' Digimon,mirrored Digimon Tamer's series. Gammamon to Guilmon's virus type behaviour which shows them fierce but naive and baby-ish, Angoramon to Renamon's a bit serious but loyal, and hopefully Jellymon to Terriermon's playful and easygoing behaviour
Ghost Game is making up for Adventure 2020. And it is really making me wanting a Digivice.
Considering we're most probably going to see Clockmon again, and we're DEFINITELY gonna meet Dracumon again, I think Mummymon's gonna make another appearance too.
My short review of episode 3 of Digimon GG (Ghost Game)
- 5 out of 5, holy shit this was a good episode
I kind of like how they aren't making it easy for digimon to materialize in our world but I am worried what it's going to be like for them if they are materialized and then killed/defeated permenatley. Given Ghost Game themes I can imagine that death in the human world for digimon is permananet. Reason I bring this up because we've seen all three digimon antagnoist get beaten and run away instead of actually defeated like usual. Maybe the battle with Pumpmon will give us that answer.

I’m really looking forward to the first ever anime appearance of Black Gatomon.
I have to admit the episode was just BOOM! It was amazing and downright something. Although it does show continuity to the last episode, where Hiro is shown to be looking at Ruri's page, it highlights Ruri's own struggle, slightly similar to Hiro's when he first encountered Clockmon. Drawing parallels from Tamers wise, I think that this season is really just awesome. I'm hyped for episode 4, cause it feels like it's gonna be a slight repeat of episode 2 (Hiro still has the signature gogglehead bad luck despite not wearing goggles ^^" oh and recklessness), but it's going to be interesting too!

Another great episode & breakdown video 👍 I like how the antagonists are sticking around and aren't just eliminated. I wonder if the likes of Clockmon and Dracumon will form a coalition of evil Digimon, like a sinister 6, in a future episode & the tamers will have to decide whether they cross the line on dematerialising foes! Given that no Digimon have faded away so far, I feel like they could do a great episode focusing on overcoming the dilemma of whether destroying digimon is justifiable. Kind of like what Henry went through in Tamers.
I'm raising pumpkinmon in my digivice v now and from the preview, it reminds me of Halloween 3
It’s sorta weird how like all three of my childhood shows in recent years got an almost more child like art style but so far I think that ghost game has done the best in the transition since both Pokémon and yugioh had a lot of growing pains where I couldn’t really get into them (luckily I think that they both were pretty alright in retrospect) where as ghost game is phenomenal so far and hasn’t lost any steam for me
Compared to Xros Wars and Appmon, Ghost Game's artstyle looks pretty normal and less exaggerated.
I like the difference between the original and this series but lies commonly close to tamers
these kids are commanding/partnering with Digimon like the usage of cards from tamers...
I'm starting to think that the end of this arc might be the "still evil" digimon getting together. Maybe something like clockmon using his hammer thing to turn gammamon into the dark evolution and dracomon using his ability to control gammamon or something of the kind
Hope so! That would be awesome! In theory Clockmon could also use that hammer to speed up the evolution of Digimon we aren’t aligned with. Like Dracumon!
I love this season so far. The horror aspect is a fantastic new take on digimon! I reeeeeaaally hope they continue it.... and cute gammamon.

Dracumon is the first form of a long evolution process that reaches a certain Beelzemon one time (Basically the second evolution of Dracumon has to fuse with surprise surprise, Mummymon [according to the Digimonwiki])

I hated how tai was always there in adventure 2020 so an episode where the mc isn't the main focus is really nice to see and I hope they do more of that in ghost game
I'm enjoying the series so far and the dark/horror setting this gives is pretty good. each character has a good personality and im digging the vibes of each digimon.
It may have been just a throw-away line, but at one point Hiro runs past Kiyoshirō who says something along the lines of, "The talismans aren't working!" I'm beginning to wonder if Jellymon is already playing pranks on the poor man.

Hey this is super cool I actually have marcus's digivice as a toy as data squad is my favorite series
I mean after 67 episodes of digimon 2020, this series is like a completely different animal altogether and I love it. It gives off more of a supernatural (the show from the CW) kind of vibes to it. Starting the episode off from Ruli's perspective was absolutely brilliant. Without the knowledge that its digimon, it was genuinely scary to see her lose her hands due to some weird phenomena. There wasn't anyone she could turn to for help because no one has the solution to fix it. Imagine not knowing what to do and inevitably you'll get worse is absolutely terrifying. Then Hiro comes in and gives her exactly what she needs and gammamon being himself probably helped relieve the stress. By the end she becomes a tamer and it's just freaking awesome! They're doing a great job with these characters and this series and I cant wait for next week!
Also gammamon and his catchphrases are adorable and I'm gonna end up adopting them like the nerd I am lol
They defeated the Ultimate level Mummymon in episode 2 but now struggle to beat a rooki.
Mummymon is a doctor, he never fought with intention to damage, just to immobilize gammamon, and even as a champion bettelgammamon didn't scratch him at all, they most certainly didn't beat an ultimate last episode.
Except they didn't beat Mummymon; they talked him down.
Gammamon is a adorable little nuclear bomb, minus the gamma radiation.

I love Gammamon's "you give me bad vibes" catchphrase... but I've seen Gammamon's 3 color evolutions in the intro sequences & i think he's missing a big dino digivolution like agumon had greymon, it's cool he's varried with a multi form gimmick but greymon's like a hero to me and Gammamon could really be allot cooler if he had a big dino form.
I will admit I did not expect the voice coming out of the bunny (I forgot how to spell his name sorry) I think it’s cause I’m use to deeper voices on those types of characters

So far, I've been enjoying GG. The action is good, and I do like that we got away from Hiro for a bit to look at one of the other characters. Thou, I'm a little bothered by how Hiro knew it was her? I know she has a Twitter-like account, but she's always hiding her face in the pictures. Just seems odd that he knew, but it didn't bother me that much.
This was an excellent first episode for Ruri, and I can't wait to see how she played into the show.
A little bit late but in the last scene of episode 2, hiro saw ruli and anggoramon followed her so in episode 3, hiro think that ruli is having a problem cause he see anggoramon following her.

A good streak for Ghost Game it's a bit weird as the show doesn't really feel like a Digimon show but I like that it doesn't.

But hey that not a bad, i kind like it. I'm little bit curious with this lonewolf man in this series went he meet digimon he probably really scare and almost dead LMAO.
Every time I watch Ghost Game I'm reminded of the games Digimon: Cyber Sleuth which I adore. The idea of Digimon infilitrating the human world and screwing with things (or being used by humans to do so) to the point of severe consequences is taken to horrifying places. Seeing elements of that in this show really grabbing my interest and I already feel pretty invested to see where all this is goin.
Yeah I love those games and I always wished they would make a season of the show based in that universe with those themes, so I’m very happy with ghost game so far!
@@thedigiknow Yeah. It's kinda wild to me how the Digimon franchise never seems to want to pin itself into being for a particular age demographic. Granted what's acceptable for children culturally can be fairly different between Japan and the US, but some of the stuff in those games just was not for kids.
I think this episode was really strong in the first half, when it was just focused on Ruli. Idk, the second half, especially the fight with Dracumon, doesn’t feel as strong to me.
I liked part two but I agree part one was more special and unique!

Hah sorry. It was just a very creepy image in the preview with Hiro having a pumpkin on his head. Not sure how popular an expression it is outside of Canada but here we say “yeah nope” like “absolutely not” or “no way”

Compare to Impmon, I would say more evil than just a simple prankster.
@@jazzratoon Impmon started out like Dracmon in the sense of just being a devious prankster and if the ending scene with Dracmon is anything to go off of, I have a feeling he's gonna be built up over the course of the series as a bigger threat. Especially if Ghost Game is gonna continue following Tamers beats like it is.
@@SuraimuWasTaken tho Impmon never really went as far to hurt people directly early in the series like dracumon. I mean who knows maybe the disappearing is more than just a prank.
@@jazzratoon While this is true, I would like to see Dracmons thirst for materialzing lead him on a similar path to Impmon since it seems like Ghost Game is very Tamers inspired.

I'm willing to handwave away him not brainwashing Angoramon as like... his bangs are too long for him to see the evil eyes or something, but like bro you could have won, right there XD
