I was also born in 1985 too. I have one single garage and I will take this video as a future reference for the 2018 Mustang GT transmission swap from MT82D4 to TR3160. Thanks for sharing.
What was the specification of the fluid that you used when you rebuilt your BMW ix transfer case coupler? I believe there are different specifications that give different locking characteristics. Any info would be helpful, thanks for your awesome videos
Yes, I was planning on doing that with the transfer case I removed when I took the transmission out. I’m putting a freshly rebuilt and resealed t-case in but I’d like to refresh the old one as well. It’ll be a while until I get to it but in the mean time I can answer any questions you have if you’re rebuilding yours. Let me know, I’m glad to help.
Hey man, I've been trying to replace my clutch for a while now, and I'm finally reaching the point where I'm undoing the transmission. in your opinion for someone without backup parts or seals, would you recommend taking off the transfer case or taking it out with the transmission? thanks
It’s honestly a little bit easier to take the transfer case off of the transmission if you’re working on the ground like me. It makes it a lot lighter and easier to pull out. All the seals are still avail at the dealer or FCP euro.

Can you make a video on transfer case removal and gasket rebuild?

Great Video, Abo + 👍
Hey, about how deep did you go to clearance the shifter? I'm about to do the same.
Probably an 1/8”. Just kept skimming and refitting it until it stopped hitting it. Just don’t go too far lol.
