Spiderman Across the Spider Verse is not the best Spiderman movie but it's still a damn good movie. I like the characterization of Gwen and Miles Morales. I like the references, Spot was surprising on what he became and the animation was soild.
it kind of didnt come to surprise me because i noticed that the machine said earth 42 when he got sent there. but the actual reveal of who's spiderman was absolutely unreal
It's so well done. They also give you hints, the machine says earth 42 when it takes him there, his mom has different colored eyes, and the coat he's wearing is of a similar color scheme to the Prowler.

i saw it and just stared at the screen for a solid 3 minutes hoping it would randomly finish the movie. once i realised that the movie was actually over, i literally yelled "they did not just end it there"
I had no idea it was a two parter so when it cut off with the "To Be Continued" I was mad as hell, that's how amazing it was lol. I was absolutely down for a 4 hour movie if it meant more lmao

Funny thing is me and my friend didn’t realize how much time pass and I said to him “imagine if the movie ended here” and he said “yeah, like see you in a few months for part 2” and bam the movie ended and I said “I was joking! Not being serious”

Just came out of the theater with my dad. My dad's words: the best animation movie of all time and of on the best movie of all time. A true piece of art. I couldn't believe my eyes what I was looking at
My dad slept through most of it and said he didn’t like it or the first one either. I think he was too drunk to watch a movie. Mom liked the movie but didn’t like the ending and Miles having to face Miles.
What I love about Earth-42 is how it is still a comic book vibe just like Miles universe but it has a darker tone to it just like the Watcher comic books because there is no spiderman and violence is everywhere.

I love the color schemes they put into this movie!! Even when you aren't aware yet that Miles was in the 42 universe, EVERYONE felt it that something felt wrong, like a gut feeling. I still remember how I felt when Miles entered "his room" and still feeling that something wasn't right, besides everything else that was going on. The colors are just so different in World 42 than what we were used to. These animators and artists were so freaking smart holy cow.
That twist with Miles as Prowler in an alternate universe was dope af. They can go in so many directions with the third installment. Really looking forward to it!

If you actually looked at the screen doing the scanning time when it set up the dimension travel destination you can actually see it saying destination earth 42 and not earth 1610

When uncle Aaron walked in the door in Earth 42 my mouth immediately dropped. Everybody in the theater was so shocked. One of the best plot twists I ever seen in a movie.

I feel like Miguel is the actual original anomaly. I think his actions is what weakened the walls of the universe that allowed Spot to get the spider from a different universe.
Quick note we know kingpin built the machine. But what we don't know is how did that spider get to earth 1610. If Miguel was the only who could travel to different universes? I agree with the above commend his color scheme gives an anonymous vibe. The way he acts is unlike spiderman he himself is the original anomaly that made the spider go into Miles universe I theorized.
Just walked out of my theater. A certain cameo had me smiling ear to ear, but the rest of the film was simply just stellar. Adored it from start to finish.
I genuinely yelled inside when I saw that at the end, Gwen reassembled the spider team from the first movie and brought back noir and hamm because we saw peni earlier I hope all the original voices come back like Nicholas cage as Spiderman noir
This film gave me huge Empire Strikes Back / Back To The Future 2 vibes, and might be one of the best sequels in a trilogy alongside those films. Easily my favorite of 2023 so far!
I thought that the whole "This is basically the Empire Strikes Back of the Spider-Verse" thing was just to hype the movie up, but holy shit, it actually did feel like an Empire Strikes Back

The animation's details are such a masterpiece. The spider that bit Miles and showing that he was going to Earth 42 while everyone didnt notice it and heads to Earth 1610 was huge brilliance. And I seriously love how Gwen used Hobi's watch and the entire portal was in Hobi's art style, giving the idea that it was a work by Hobi. Seriously, a great masterpiece
Honestly this movie explained the dark side to the Spiderman lore. Literally when Miguel explained what happened if Miles did not let his Earth die, that honestly left me in chills but also connected everything for me on how dark the Spider lore rlly is. The whole movie was dark and i think thats what mainly made this movie the best Spiderman movie honestly a 5/5 for me. and its crazy how only all this happened bc of what miles created

the " *Go Home Machine* " Scanned the Spider-gene inside the Miles, which was actually from the spider came from Earth-42. So it teleported Miles to the Earth-42. So, Machine did send him in the correct universe or I can say his spider's original Universe. 🕷️

A perfect Empire Strikes Back. Every character is in a rough state, friendships broken, a looming threat beyond what any of them can hanke individually & a personal threat pressing down on our protagonist. Miles is going through the ringer.
Things will go from bad to horrible if Miles gets the Symbionte from Earth-42 (either from Oscorp of Ravencroft If the 2 Miles invades one of those establishments to create a machine to travel to Earth-1610) in order to defeat Spot...

this was visually one of the most amazing pieces of media i’ve ever experienced. the way the animation styles changed depending on which universe they were in was such a smart idea.

Also cliffhanger is extended back to first movie where he is bitten. Since it turns from purple and green to blue and red. Basically swapping fates of universes as rule of equal exchange. Or even Gwen's dad not being dead because he retired and canon event found some other source to balance it in the universe. Just like Final Destination movie plan.
The movie was such a banger this was the first movie that actually made me scared of the antagonist and Miles getting stuck in a different universe really sent shivers down my spine and the fact that Miles could have been the prowler if there wasn’t a spiderman was the one that scared me the most I kept tossing and turning of what can happen next and really hope they release the next part of the movie soon

When I saw the film yesterday, I did notice Miles head to Earth 42 and thought it was a plot hole that his universe was Earth 42 and not Earth 1610. Then it actually was relevant to the story and blew my mind.
While watching this movie, I kept checking my watch...because I was scared it would end too soon! Glad I knew about it being a two-parter beforehand though. That was the fastest 2 hours and 20 mins ever.
I think the upcoming madame web movie which will be released before beyond the spideverse will tie in directly into these two movies, might be as well set into the universe where miles ends up at the end of the movie or some other universe but it definitely is gonna be related in a major way to across and beyond the spideverse.

The over-emphasized focus on Miles's mom's eye color in the beginning of the film was the coffin's last nail for me that he wasn't in his home uni (brown vs green)
Just finished it earlier. I was joking with my friends how our miles say “hey, i’m Miles Morales” and the. Prowler miles says “Miles, Moráles”. The accent was such a great touch with the accent! 👹😵💫
My jaw dropped because of the cliffhanger, I was like “the audacity to end the movie now?!”. Honestly pretty excited for the next movie. First Miles Morales movie was spectacular and Across the Spider-Verse was even better! I am sure that as we go the movies will get better and better!

Before the big chase I had a feeling Miles was going to use the machine and it would latch on to the wrong part of his DNA. Even after figuring it out, it was fantastic. March of next year can't get here soon enough.
Once the scene of the diagonal hallway came where all the different spider-men, spider-women, and spider-animals were featured, I started shedding tears.
He would still be cartoony tho, we’ve seen that every dimention looks different and live action characters were present in the movie. We even had lego spiderman😂

That’s why they never stopped Miles from using the machine by rebooting it. They knew he wasn’t going to the right universe so he wouldn’t be a threat to the canon.

This is interesting because Miguel OHara does know that. I think he says at some point that he understands Miles' origin and how the machine actually works. There's good enough reason to keep Miles from traveling, but going to the wrong world to find him might actually be a plot hole.
I felt like Spider Byte had a change of heart and didn’t reboot the machine to let miles go free, and Miguel and the others don’t know that miles is in the wrong dimension because they went back to his home one to hunt him down but they don’t know that miles is in a different dimension
This movie was one of the best movies I’ve seen in years - comic book or otherwise. I just got home from seeing it and i loved every single moment of it. Smiled the entire time!

Literally when Miguel explained what happened if Miles did not let his Earth die, that honestly left me in chills but also connected everything for me on how dark the Spider lore rlly is. The whole movie was dark and i think thats what mainly made this movie the best Spiderman movie honestly a 5/5 for me. and its crazy how only all this happened bc of what miles created

I love how they left the structure lines in on the characters. Specifically in the faces on close-ups.
the " *Go Home Machine* " Scanned the Spider-gene inside the Miles, which was actually from the spider came from Earth-42. So it teleported Miles to the Earth-42.
So, Machine did send him in the correct universe or I can say his spider's original Universe. 🕷️

Miles is going through the ringer.
Things will go from bad to horrible if Miles gets the Symbionte from Earth-42 (either from Oscorp of Ravencroft If the 2 Miles invades one of those establishments to create a machine to travel to Earth-1610) in order to defeat Spot...

this was visually one of the most amazing pieces of media i’ve ever experienced. the way the animation styles changed depending on which universe they were in was such a smart idea.
Right?! And then over in the multiverse of madness the most we get is, " oh, green means stop and red means go here. That's so wild! So multiversal! So wacky! Everything else is the same though, more or less"
I said it before in other TH-camrs reviews & I will say it again, I love this animation movie with all my heart, with it's mature tone & fun story tellling. I love the cliffhanger that we got, can't wait for Beyond The Spiderverse 🕷🤍🕷🖤🕷

The whole visual of the Web of Life and Destiny overlapping with the Sacred Timeline was so amazing, total crossover vibes.
The reveal was right in our faces earlier on in the movie and still manages to surprise you at the end WOW

Also cliffhanger is extended back to first movie where he is bitten. Since it turns from purple and green to blue and red. Basically swapping fates of universes as rule of equal exchange.

Best movie I’ve seen in a while. What a rollercoaster of emotions. The humor, animation and storytelling were all amazing. Can’t wait for part 2!
The movie was such a banger this was the first movie that actually made me scared of the antagonist and Miles getting stuck in a different universe really sent shivers down my spine and the fact that Miles could have been the prowler if there wasn’t a spiderman was the one that scared me the most I kept tossing and turning of what can happen next and really hope they release the next part of the movie soon

I just walked out of the theater, i must say this movie gave me goosebumps. From the realization of Miles being in thw wrong universe, to the cliffhanger, i was VERY surprised. Well done, animation team.

When I saw the film yesterday, I did notice Miles head to Earth 42 and thought it was a plot hole that his universe was Earth 42 and not Earth 1610. Then it actually was relevant to the story and blew my mind.
Just out of the cinema and easily one of my favourite movies ever and definitely the best animation ever, I am just in awe
While watching this movie, I kept checking my watch...because I was scared it would end too soon! Glad I knew about it being a two-parter beforehand though. That was the fastest 2 hours and 20 mins ever.
Donald Glover is more than just one of the VOs for Miles. He's the inspiration for Miles.
I think the upcoming madame web movie which will be released before beyond the spideverse will tie in directly into these two movies, might be as well set into the universe where miles ends up at the end of the movie or some other universe but it definitely is gonna be related in a major way to across and beyond the spideverse.

OH MY GOD! One of the best films I’ve ever seen. The scene with all the Spider-People made my jaw drop. And that end part made my head spin.
It’s so amazing knowing this amazing animation and story will come in beyond the spider verse bc doing this artstyle just seems so hard to draw but the fact they’re gonna make the movie next year in around March is crazy

The over-emphasized focus on Miles's mom's eye color in the beginning of the film was the coffin's last nail for me that he wasn't in his home uni (brown vs green)
Just finished it earlier. I was joking with my friends how our miles say “hey, i’m Miles Morales” and the. Prowler miles says “Miles, Moráles”. The accent was such a great touch with the accent! 👹😵💫

Before the big chase I had a feeling Miles was going to use the machine and it would latch on to the wrong part of his DNA. Even after figuring it out, it was fantastic. March of next year can't get here soon enough.

That’s why they never stopped Miles from using the machine by rebooting it. They knew he wasn’t going to the right universe so he wouldn’t be a threat to the canon.

This is interesting because Miguel OHara does know that. I think he says at some point that he understands Miles' origin and how the machine actually works. There's good enough reason to keep Miles from traveling, but going to the wrong world to find him might actually be a plot hole.
I felt like Spider Byte had a change of heart and didn’t reboot the machine to let miles go free, and Miguel and the others don’t know that miles is in the wrong dimension because they went back to his home one to hunt him down but they don’t know that miles is in a different dimension
