If you want any reliability, let alone power, it's probably a good idea for you to take your head to an engine rebuilding place to get it recondtidioned and perfeclty flat. They will also do your valve stem seals and seat for pretty cheap! Overall it's a $600 job that guarantees good health of the head.
Watching this back out of curiosity, also knowing the barra had trouble starting
And also knowing you've sold the car 😂 it's your key connection from your key reader to your key chip, if you get pats turned off next time you won't have any issues or new key programmed etc

Mate , i would highly recommend getting the head surfaced . It will not be flat after being torqued and run for any significant time . For cleaning the block , you can buy a cheap die grinder and use a small scotchbrite wheel .
No it's the heat n head bolt stretch that affects if the head is straight

If you use main studs you will need to get the block line honed,because the extra force applied buy the studs will distort the main tunnel

9:45 this is true, whenever my Ef xr6 seems dead and I tap just right of the hazards it’ll start
With the starting issue on the Ef Take the plastic off the steering column and check the back of your ignition barrel, if you can push the black plastic part in with your fingers this is the problem, push in with left hand and turn key with right hand and should start.

u should repaint the engine cover to the same colour of the car for looks
The key barrel thing happens on mine too, the back part of the ignition barrel doesn't connect properly inside. I just turn the back part straight down till it starts then twist it back up so the starter stops clicking. It's got to do with that copper disk in there not connecting right I think

It looks completion lv got au falcon wagon futura stock standard motor but if you do it up with more power would it use more fuel ⛽ than normal.
I’d only be using the stock tensioner. After going through two atomic and dominator tensioners.

If you have an air compressor, buy a cheap sand blaster accessory for it and clean the engine by sandblasting it.
Next time if you struggle getting it to turn over try putting it in neutral, my el had that issue and it works if I start it in neutral

Smack under the dash (above your left leg, next to the steering column) when turning the key to start it. A solenoid on the BCM would’ve corroded :)

Hey Rex Duno about EF but sometimes common in the EB series the ignition relay fucks up right near your left knee you just smack the dash from the bottom an gang gang buzz buzz she turn over 😂😂😂

I had an ef for years looks weird without the louvres I know some don't like them but i did.
Mine was factory 5 speed manual im actually looking for it but its probably crushed now was white sa rego xck103 if any has seen it maybe .

Hmm well my territory turbo has 350kw atw with 870nm dont forget thats to all wheels so more like your 370kw in a rear wheel car and over 400kw at the engine for the last 3years😁,
This power is on factory ecu, no cams and definitely not tens of thousands of dollars 🥱

It is possible. Considering a stock turbo has 300hp at the flywheel. Everybody calls hp guesses at the wheels. He might be talking at flywheel HP. 500hp at flywheel will be about 370hp at the wheels. Or 230kw

And a stock BF has 320hp at the crank and an FG has 360hp at the crank.
