For some interior design professionals, if you master light, you master everything, as this is one of the great secrets to achieve incredible results in any environment that's being decorated or adapted to the user's taste. It isn't easy to work with lighting in many cases, but there is an infinite amount of resources to achieve what you want. In our living room, we just added an Arco lamp from Manhattan Home Design, and the truth is that it has helped a lot to improve the ambient lighting and is a lamp with an extraordinary design. Cheers! Thank you very much for this video.
Unfortunately … for most IDs in Sg…interior lighting is their weakest skill. There’s of coz some who have decent knowledge and the elite few who are world class but for the vast majority their skill and knowledge only goes as far as the on/off switch and “got light/no light”.
One word - remarkable. I like how you change the whole atmosphere with your idea of dessert, cave and nature. Lighting and space planning is simply inspirational. 👏
I like how they almost covered up every inch of the floor walls and ceiling and you don't see any concrete wall reminiscent of hdb and it really answered their own brief of going for a desert look and feel.
The shot at 2:01 was great. The lighting is actually great in this house and as someone who frequents Northshore a lot, it's such a peaceful and quiet area.
I LOve it. Omg. I like vision coming from the couple. Damn on point and really out of the box. That curve ceiling to give softer light.... genius. Damn lucky these two. What a dream home. Never thought there's such thing as lighting designer, and bloop.... yes, one definitely should consider have one too. 10/10.
Very well designed. colours and materials comes together very nicely, especially the ceiling works. There are no awkward beams and column that just cut across the room. Most people doesn’t pay much attention to those ugly column and beams and just build around them as if they were not there and ended up with a space that look awkward or carpentry that is out of shape.
A bit too dark for my liking, but it exudes quite a classy ambience, though it’s supposed to be cave-like. I love the master bedroom toilet LED lighting ceiling - gives the vibes of skylight! Love it! 🥰👍
From the beautiful cat’s 🖤🧡 to the home this is amazing I loved everything about this place the white oak is a hot trend in interior design for 2023 💛 in case you guys wanted to know 😀what a lovely couple 👏🏾 congratulations to them this is beautiful
Such a beautiful house. Good design really makes all the difference. Did not engage ID for my HDB, and I've no design sense. At 114m2 mine looks smaller than the house in this video 😅
I'm not a person who's into woody theme but damnit, this house is damn chio. perfect blend of wood and black and don't even get me started on the lightsssss 😭😲
hello! i always liked looking at the floor plans as it gives a good general idea of the layout and some of them are very interesting like this one where all walls were hacked and redesigned. Was wondering if there's a section in your website where i can browse through the floor plans.
Yes its allowed, only the bath and WC area are considered "wet areas" by HDB and you generally cannot expand "wet areas". Pulling out sinks from wet areas is allowed.
Overall I love the mix of materials, the soft and considered lighting and the bedroom (plus the entryway door to the bedroom). I think the owners were able to get a friendship discount or close to "at cost" renovation from their contractors - given the amount of work done, i would have expected the costs to be at least 30-40% more based on market rates. Not so keen about the artifical plant wall or the "fireplace" and the double sinks so close to the master bed. Also as counterinutitive as it seems, its generally better to avoid pushing key pieces of furniture right up against the walls , like the sofa in the living room as it makes the space look smaller/unbalanced visually and there is already quite a lot of asymmetrical elements /ratios in the open concept area.
My biggest question is where do they keep the cats litter box. I hate the way litter boxes smell….so I feel like they have a clever way to disguise that.
I think this apt ranks in top 5 in stacked. I would get rid of the faux plant walls for sure and loose the 2 kitties and replace them with a corgi or two. Haha.
This applies to every other developed country and/or city. There’s no real rationale to having kids unless you’re filthy rich. Living expenses is are getting more and more out of reach as corporations try to squeeze everything out of us commoners, the world is gradually going to shit with petty grown ass adults playing chess with our lives in their political warfare, the climate sucks too. Who the hell would want to force someone else to grow up in this world. I’d rather just make the best of my life and not enforce living in this hellhole on anyone else. For those thinking about having kids, think deeply about why. Many times people cite how kids bring fulfilment to their lives. Is that really a justifiable reason? Is using your child as some kind of retirement plan or therapy a good reason for them to experience suffering? I struggle to find people in my age group who can confidently say that they are genuinely grateful to have been born.

Wow! This house makes me fall in love with interior design even more.
Isn't it captivating?

Wow thanks for your kind words 🙏 The curved ceiling is definitely a great idea!
Love the whole house especially the toilet (the waterfall tap) and living room!! This type of reno look and worth the $100k reno!!
Thanks for the kind words!
Any details on the fireplace? This home was really nice!

Thank you for watching!
I particularly like the 5:21 Basin, 6:25 Bathroom lighting and 4:30 use of corridor as study area.
The unique layout and design is inspirational. The way they re-imagined the space worked out so well. Love it! 👏👏👏
Thanks so much! 😊

Thank you for your kind words, Tiffany! 🥰
no space for kids but one of the most creative and original designs I've seen for 4 room hdb - kudos guys
Thank you for watching, Joel!
I love the herringbone floor and ceiling details.. but what’s with the twin basins right next to the bed in the master bedroom?
yup...
Such a beautiful house. Good design really makes all the difference. Did not engage ID for my HDB, and I've no design sense. At 114m2 mine looks smaller than the house in this video 😅

The ceiling cave light idea was genius!
It is quite a highlight!

Really nice! Much better than the average HDB layout and look
Glad you like it!
Been lucky to been to this actual house. It was stunning kudos to your vision and execution!! Keep u in mind for next house
Thank you! 😄
Gorgeous apartment, you both did a wonderful job !
Thank you so much! We're thrilled that you find the apartment gorgeous! 😊
The ideas here are incredible.
Thank you!
A unique home concept. The colours and textures go well together.
Thanks, Wendy 😁
the lighting throughout is great. the fake fireplace screams Taobao though.
They surely have taste. Different than mine but fine.
I can see that it is executed greatly.
Glad you like it even if it isn't exactly your taste 😊
Wow. Just gorgeous.
Thank you! We're thrilled you think so! 😊
i absolutely loved the lighting in the master bathroom!!
Thanks for watching, Valarie! 🥰
Where did they get the ceiling chandelier with extended wire?? Sooo beautiful!
Hello :D
you can reach out to them on IG for more info:

Is the sink outside the bathroom legal? The space looks nice
Was not really a fan of that too. ... well if it works for them no biggie.
It’s legal except I think you can’t waterproof outside the original toilet area
Having a sink outside of toilet is allowed as it’s considered a dry area.
Yes its allowed, only the bath and WC area are considered "wet areas" by HDB and you generally cannot expand "wet areas". Pulling out sinks from wet areas is allowed.
where can we get information of the stone-like beige wallpaper that is used throughout the living area?
love everything even the music
Thank you! 🥰
Where do you get those toilet panel lights from??? I love them!
so niceeeeee 😍😍😍well done!
Thank you!! 😊
Home with personality.
Definitely a space that stands out and feels uniquely personal.
With hot weather throughout whole year in Singapore and want a fake campfire at home? An interesting choice 🤑
Whee is that chandelier in the dining from?
I really like the lighting choices. Props to you man.
Glad you like it!
Amazing!! Love it!😍😍😍😍
Thank you!! 🥰
Hi. nice design. But just wondering, singapore allow to knot down the wall in the flat or apartment ?
Hey! Yes, if it's not structural.
Fabulous interior 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍.
Glad you like it! 😍

Thanks for sharing your detailed thoughts!
I am speechless, so cozy and beautiful :-)
It really is!
The toilet box up from HDB was covered up and added a LED light. What happens if the pipes above leak? Cannot access for repair?
any idea where we can we purchase the fireplace device? What is it called ?
The fireplace is not real right? Looks like those aroma diffuser that makes use of coloured lights to make the vapour look like fire
Hi, beautiful place! Which table lamp is it on the countertop please?
That’s an ikea lamp I believe. Tallbyn.
Thanks for watching, Loan! 😀
@@andyandy2684 Thank you
beautiful!
Thank you!
Brilliant, doesn’t look like a four room flat
Thanks for watching!
Curious to know how much was spent on renovation
$100K!
Very charming.
Thanks for watching, Zach 🥰

😂
sometimes it is the interior that matters
Thanks for watching!
no TV?
Tasteful masterpiece
Indeed! 😁
May I know where is the toilet door at 5:13 from?
Hi Randy, you can reach out to them on IG for more info:

Wah it’s rlly nice leh
Thanks for your kind words!
100k better be nice! Hah but yea is nice. I think they custom made many things that almost covered every wall and ceiling so it din look like a hdb.
nIce but I think cleaning is a pain, just thinking of the dust on the plant wall
Thanks for sharing!
the twin sink outside the bathroom is not a good idea. More for practical reasons to contain all "wet" fixtures in the toilet.
it looks more like an hotel than a home. But it is beautiful
Thank you for watching 😁
All that is missing is Tomorrowland
Aeron 😃
interesting concepts, but the execution is giving tatooine moisture farm
Thanks for the input! The vibe definitely stands out
Stunning home, lovely couple. Just wish I didn't have to see cats laying on the kitchen island, table and cooktop.
😂
unhygienic - table top and cooktop.
if you have cats or know someone who does, its not really possible to stop cats from going/lying anywhere they please....
even their cats same colour as their house
😁
The living wall is tacky imo rest is beautiful.
Thanks for watching!
有钱真好😅
Singaporean nowadays rarely have kids
Cat is their kid

How many children you have Andre?
Astute observation.
A child? In this economy??
if you ask me to pay 100k for this, more than willing. but cannot say the same for some other projects out there >100k 😅
Agreed!! So many claim $100k reno but just look quite meh. Plus look like same same design.
Almost perfect, except the artificial plants and dry flowers, but to each his own.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
How many sinks they want 😂
Can't have kids in this house. Difficult to manage them and upkeep the house simultaneously
Spending so much on HDB unit
Which you rent for 99 years
