    This week we visit the stunning Executive Apartment of homeowners SH and Alvin, a 1,650 square feet oasis where natural materials and plants come together to create an inviting and cosy atmosphere. As you enter the home, you'll be greeted by a settee area that acts as a mini walkway, providing privacy and a sense of separation from the rest of the home. Behind the settee, you'll find a convenient store room that they repositioned for their storage needs.
    The living room is the heart of the home, and SH and Alvin have hacked the wall to create a spacious communal area for all to enjoy. The balcony, which was nonexistent in the previous home, is now a relaxing spot to unwind and take in the beautiful views. The unique tiles used on the balcony were specially sourced by their ID, making it truly one-of-a-kind.
    The kitchen was an important space for SH, and was enlarged to incorporate an island and fitted with bi-fold doors for easy access during meal preparation. The darker palette with green tones and wood laminate creates a cosy and inviting space for family and friends to gather.
    The common bathroom features square pink tiles for a fun and playful touch, while the corridor boasts an asymmetrical curve and LED lights in the ceiling to accentuate the lime wash paint. For the master bedroom, the initial store room area has been transformed into a walk-in wardrobe, and the couple's bathroom includes a stunning bathtub that was created and fitted with the same tiles as the bathroom, creating a seamless and cohesive look.
    Join us as we take a tour of this beautiful home, and discover the unique design elements that make it truly special.

    Great layout and the place feels warm and inviting without being overdone and too trendy (no overuse of arches, curves, fluted panels etc). Furniture is well picked and scales well with the space. The entire living room +dining area with seatee +balcony is the standout. The owners really have a good eye for design whilst keeping clutter to a minimum.

      You're missing the point. Its like a room without and with a small window that connects outside i.e. sky aka nature

    • @batubop651
      @batubop651 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@kaisvlog7208 I understand your response, but I also agree with the original comment. I think their idea of opening up the balcony area is brilliant. Especially with their use of folding glass doors, it truly allows for a beautifully seamless indoor-outdoor concept for the entire living area, The natural light and airflow seems lovely. But apart from the beautiful sky, the view of the other blocks is not nice. I think they should turn the balcony into a green oasis with carefully chosen plants, possibly even a vertical herb garden too if she enjoys cooking. Green nature. Their very own garden room in the sky, so to speak.
      I love the natural and airy feel of this apartment, so a green oasis would really enhance the overall existing aesthetic. Due to the large open plan layout, the green oasis would be visible and enjoyable from all the main rooms, plus one of the first things to catch your eye once you’ve walked through the entryway and turn into the main living area.
      I think their idea of utilising glass foldable doors for the kitchen is really clever. As well as turning the storage room into the tasteful walk-in wardrobe. 2 great examples of function without sacrificing form.
      They seem like a lovely couple, and I congratulate them on their thoughtfully designed and curated, beautifully calm and relaxing home.
      Edit: grammar, clarification

    Immaculate designed. However, the balcony seems to be a 1/2 balcony as the view to the outside is only top-half, placing high stool with counter may be a better choice there. The window view at the dinning area is a better 'balcony'.

    Please control the open burning joss paper and candles. Many people living in hdb are suffering silently because we were told to be sensitive to others' religion. But does that mean we have to suffer silently for years to accommodate your culture that doesn't care about your neighbour? During chinese new year and hungry ghost festival, we will get sore throat because of the smokes from these open burning. Sometimes my whole family were awaken by heavy smokes at 3 a.m because our home was filled with smokes. Who dictate all these joss paper/candles must be burn right below the hdb? Is it possible to burn all these items in your nearest temple without affecting any of your neighbour. Your consideration is much appreciated.

    • @andyandy2684
      @andyandy2684 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hate spider mites! Very hard to get rid off. I think going semi hydroponic with Leca balls will reduce pests that are attracted to plants big time. It’s expensive though.
      As for the decor … nice 😊. I’m somewhere between a minimalist and a maximalist …therefore more is more … with definitely more drama.
      As for the balcony…I’d seal if off. 😂 Can’t deal with them pesky lizards which will sneak in every opportunity they get.
      All in all … great job.

    • @dooddoodd
      @dooddoodd ปีที่แล้ว

      I never had ants problem for my indoor plants. I think the best way to deal with them is to keep your house clean and not leave any sweet/sugar crumbs lying around haha.

    • @juanadearco6356
      @juanadearco6356 ปีที่แล้ว

      Spider mites can be reduced by having more humidity in the home. Also certain plants attract more spider mites than others so if you don't want to deal with it then consider changing the plants you keep.
