    I live in The Bays at Prince Creek and I do believe its the best place to live in the Myrtle Beach area. We're gated with Security, two pools and a nice area called The Park with Amenity Center, picnic areas, tennis courts, open field for soccer or baseball and best of all it's not just a bunch of homes built crammed together on a cleared piece of land. We are divided into seven small secluded "Bays" which are laid out along a winding main road called Greenway. It's like living in a park! I know you did a piece on our community but I just thought I'd make a comment! I love your posts!

    A great poet once said "Communities that don't have sidewalks don't love their children." In my mind, no sidewalks? They don't make the list... Period...

    We moved to Clear Pond back in 2009. It's a good lifestyle here. You really can't go wrong with Carolina Forest. Good schools. Really no crime except for the vehicle break in here and there. CCU campus is a few minutes away. 20 minutes to the beach. Golf everywhere if that's your thing. All the shopping you need within a couple miles.

      Carolina Forest really is centrally located! Glad to hear that you are loving it in Clear Pond!

      @@nealcassady-yn3bh You're right, when compared to the rest of the Myrtle Beach area the traffic on 501 can be a pain!

    • @dh6984
      @dh6984 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nealcassady-yn3bh You can avoid 501 altogether if you want. Postal Way gets you over to the shopping centers without hitting 501, or you just cut through Waterford to Carolina Forest Boulevard. Then go to River Oaks and wherever from there.

    How does the quality compare between these builders? I see there are many options from DR Horton and Lennar, but quick searches reveals so many horror stories for both builders. For this reason I have begin to look at Ashton Woods homes.

    • @movingtomb
      @movingtomb  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So DR Horton and Lennar are the two biggest builders across the country. They each build tens of thousands of homes a year and with that amount of volume there are going to be some unhappy people. All of my clients are happy in their homes. As for Ashton Woods, they are brand new to our market so I don’t know a lot about them, their model home should be built within the next few months but they don’t have anything out of the ground yet.

      I can tell you from personal experience to stay away from DR Horton unless SC has some pretty strict building codes. I live in another state and building codes are minimal so that might contribute to the poor quality of their construction.

    Bleh. Builder homes. I'd rather live in The Dunes.

    These are not the best. Just based on new sales. Using this criteria is just lazy. All you need is the biggest development with throw together cookie cutter homes. No regard to quality or location location location. Myrtle beach is growing so fast no matter what crap “they” build someone will buy it.
