So needed this!!!!!! I’m way too aggressive when I try to return to dance and I always injure myself! I also feel like at my age (41) I have something to prove. I needed this!!!! It’s been at least 7 years since my last class so I have NO business jumping right in like I was just in class yesterday!!!!
I used to dance as a kid 4-6 classes a week until was 12. Then I stopped for 10 years. Took a ballet class for a couple years, then stop for another 10 years. Got back in to ballet, then broke my foot doing chaine turns. 6 years later, I'm slowing starting to trust my body to get back into a barre3 class. It's nice to know I'm not alone with starting over and starting slow
Not alone at all!! There are sooooo many adults coming back to this art form. You are in good company here and BIG congrats on being back at the barre❤
Sounds like my story! I tore my tendons trying to get back in. The teacher was pushing and I didn’t back down. Now I’m fully armored no more pushing to breaking points. Everything will come back in time. Muscle memory!

Im glad you liked the video!! Yes when we have been out of dance for a while its best to condition our body again to prepare for class :)
