Thank you to all of you who posted such lovely comments! I feel so blessed and grateful! Also thank you to my new subscribers! To the few people who wonder why I didn’t show the entire performance. There’s a thing called artistic property. Also, the video hasn’t been released yet. I do not have permission to show the whole thing, but I can show some of the photos taken there. Of course I picked the best ones, I’m not really proud of my mediocre grand jeté. 😅 but I wouldn’t mind showing you that as well. Parts of the rehearsal of the choreography are in this video. The point of this video was not to show you an entire ballet gala, but to inspire all of you lovely dreamers to go after your dreams, no matter what! Whether you doubt yourself or other people doubt you and question everything you do. You just keep going! Much love, Tatyana ♥️
Beautiful young lady!! Are the grand jetes something to learn in younger years? Mine weren't the best either. I used to give it so much thought but I dismissed after awhile. My grand jetes needed work but my arabesque - beautiful !
@@missygee531 I guess it’s easier to learn them when you’re young. But mine actually have improved a lot over the years. So I just measure my own progress. They might not be perfect, but that’s okay for me as long as I keep improving.
Dear Tatyana, it is amazing what you have done! I have done a easy contemporary ballet coreography last year and I know how much work and discipline one needs to get little improvements! Keep going! I want to continue and be a more flexible ballerina at 50 years! If you want to share, it would be great to know how many hours per week have you been training at studio and at home.
@@vrijaya just like 1-2 lessons per week mostly, and sometimes i go to the gym to gain some general strength. But that’s all. I haven’t trained as consistently. otherwise my turnout and other things could be better 😅
I LOVE what your teacher said about not really caring about the distinction between “amateur” or “professional” but rather as those who love to dance - that’s a really beautiful mindset to have in a teacher 🥹 You’re very blessed and so inspiring!
I’m a ballet teacher too and I share the same thoughts! The studio I teach at isn’t a “pre-professional” studio but I believe regardless of what ability you are, age you are, or your reason for dancing - everyone deserves the same level of training and the same care and attention from their teacher. The teacher in this video has exactly the right approach. LOVE IT!
I am a professional musician and educator. I love this comment he made. No matter what my student’s age or ability I see them as musicians. They are musicians and studying because of the love of music. Bravo on your beautiful performance. I also like what he said about enjoying your achievement and then to keep dreaming. Keep dreaming and giving beauty to a world that needs it❤️ BRAVA!
I'm 26- just last night, I was crying my heart out, regretting that I didn't learn ballet and violin as a child. I thought that if I just started earlier, I'd be stellar by now. I wondered what would be the point of starting now-- but your video was SO beautifully inspirational and like a divine message of encouragement to me. Thank you so much. You look like you were born to shine on stage.
On a side note, I'm just subscribed to you! And you seem like the woman that I want to grow to become, some day. Thank you for being a new role model for me!
Oh! When I was 26 I started to learn to sing professional. At 28 I started to sing in restaurants and hotels. Now I'm 38 and this is still my job and now I make my own songs- I write my music and lyrics. The world of the music is so magical and now I still learn more and more things. Never is to late :)
Thank you for sharing this! I started ballet when I was 31 too! I had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and I decided to do all those things that I dreamed of as a girl. So I danced and sewed. And guess what? I got better! I’m 39 now and wasn’t expected to survive! Keep inspiring others! Everyone follow your dreams! 🩰💗✨
Maybe it seems crazy but next week I'm 82 and a couple of months ago I joined an adult ballet class to fulfil a childhood dream. I was so thrilled to get my pink ballet shoes and although it's not easy as I'm also losing my sight I love it. Dreams do come true
I started ballet lessons at age 56 and my first stage performance 3 years later (with lock down in between). You are never too late to realise your dreams.
I just had my ultimate dream come true. I was in ballet from 6 until a teenager. I was also competing in Figure Skating. My skating coach said Pointe would stiffen up my knees for skating. So I shouldn't do both. So I gave up Pointe. Which I didn't want to do. So at 55 I finally danced in a Professional Ballet the Nutcracker in the Party Scene as the Russian Mother. It was the most magical special moments of my life. You're absolutely right!!! Keep dreaming, they do come true. I Loved Your Dancing and You. I am so proud of you for dancing your heart out, and having your dream come true. I hope to see you dance more.😊💝💝
I'm turning 38 next month. Watching this is incredibly inspiring for me to see. I always wanted to dance ballet, and being professional was never my desire. I feel the same as you! I just want to dance to express myself. I'm crying because I feel so hopeful that it's never too late to achieve my dreams. Thank you, thank you, thank you Tatyana!!
Had my first Ballet class ever 45 and only wish I started earlier. Go for it, it’s never too late to do what makes you happy. Just don’t expect it to be an easy straight path.
I feel the same way! I haven't taken a class since I was about 8 and I loved it but I guess my family couldn't really afford it. Now my little girls are in ballet and I want to join them so bad!
She is absolutely stunning, like a swan queen, but in my opinion women way after 30 are generally at their prettiest and most attractive. I think the society needs to stop with the ideology that women after their mid-thirties would be going "downhill". It's creepy and toxic. They are not even middle aged yet! In my head, it is AFTER 30/35, when women start looking like actually adults. Before that, in my opinion most of us still have this child/teenage features and I don't find that attractive, and in my opinion the world needs to stop romanticizing the child-like features on young people. Sorry to rant at you, you have nothing to do with any of this, I just felt like this was a good place for me to add this for people to see. I'm 27, by the way. And I look like a baby😆
It's probably due in part to genetics but good skincare and hydration can do a lot. And staying out of the sun. Not sunscreen and being outdoors for hours in the middle of the day but staying inside in the middle of the day if you can. I like to walk outside in the evening.
This is so inspiring! I'm tired of hearing people say your life is over at 25... That you are "too old" to do this, do that... Also, you are so beautiful!
I started learning ballet the same age as you. I am 53 now, still doing it. I go to class 6-7 days a week. I have studied jazz and modern techniques for 12 years maybe. I've had the most amazing teachers - the biggest ballet stars in Bulgaria. Been on stage quite a lot, including at the National Opera House in Sofia. I am totally aware I can never be as good as someone who has started early and has been trained professionally. And yes - there was a lot of "negative clatter", as you put it. What I realized is that good technique is not as vitally important for an amazing performance as I had previously thought. It is your heart and soul, your art, that will be appreciated at the end of the day ❤️ Don't stop dancing!
I'm going through a bit of an identity crisis right now- comparing myself to others my age and where they're at in life, not knowing who I want to be or where I want to go and just generally feeling behind in life. It feels like a miracle to have stumbled across this video at this point in time. This was a message I didn't know I needed until I heard it- thank you so much
I started ballet in my 20’s and even made it en pointe. We had several recitals and I even got a character role once with a professional ballet company. You just never know until you try. It was never really my goal to perform but just to be able to dance and look like I knew what I was doing. I accomplished my mission. I’m 38 now also and I still keep my leotards just in case I decide to try it again. 😊
Your dance instructor is a gem. He truly loves his craft & is eager to guide anyone else who wants to learn it. What a blessing to have such a teacher! 🥰
I'm learning to play piano for the first time over the age of 40. With zero previous musical instrument experience. In one year I can play several songs and recorded my journey each month (which I highly recommend).I hope to take it to another level and do a concert one day. It's NEVER too late to follow your dreams❤❤❤
I started dancing ballet at age 25.. I've been dancing for 5 years now and honestly i feel much worse than my peers. But looking at myself I'm much better than when i had alreadt started. Your video reminded me to enjoy the moment and what i had reached, rather than compare myself to others. Thank you for that
This was so beautiful & heartwarming! As a 25 year old that had to give up ballet as a kid, it's nice to see that it's not impossible to jump back in to the ballet world if you really put your mind to it. Thank you for sharing this, it made my day! ❤️
Dancing is, first and foremost, a physical expression of the soul. A professional can dance with the most precise and perfect technique, but without soul, there is no purpose. Once you're doing what you love, dancing is fulfilling its purpose. You've really inspired me with this video, and I'm still just 21 years old haha!
This inspired me so much!! I danced ballet from 5 years old until around 19 years old. I am now 32 and have been missing it so much for years now .. I have been wanting to start dancing again but worried that maybe I was too old now to go back. Thank you for reminding me to follow my dreams and not put limits on them. You are a beautiful dancer! 😊
I just started taking ballet classes a year and a half ago at 35 and am so glad I did! It's never too late to start something new or to follow your dreams!
Bravo! Moi j’ai recommencé le ballet à… 47 ans! J’ai maintenant 51 ans et je commence les pointes cette année. C’est une joie pour moi de danser et voir mon corps évoluer. Poursuivons nos rêves! ❤😊
Just started ballet at 23. I've always wanted to do ballet since I was young. And I feel like I'm living my dream. Thank you for being an inspiration to us!
Thank you, this is really encouraging. I'm in a contemporary school and studying to become some sort of a "semi-professional" dancer at the age of 42. We also have classical and my turnout is quite awful :D So totally agree and I know how hard it is to keep going sometimes but is really worth it. Thank you for the kind and motivating video, it was a real Christmas gift for me. Greetings from Budapest
Wow! I am 31 and starting ballet haha with zero strength, flexibility etc...! I hope I can become as graceful as you at 38!! How beautiful and inspiring, thank you for sharing this! You look amazing!
I really needed this today. I started figure skating almost a year ago, and since I’ve started as an adult with no strength, flexibility, or even dance experience, it’s been really hard especially since I haven’t taken proper lessons and can’t afford a coach. I’ve been teaching myself and learning as I go with videos and asking friends for advice. Sometimes I get discouraged, and it’s hard not to compare myself to the great skaters, but I’ve made a lot of progress this year, and I have to be kind to myself. Because against all odds, I decided to follow my dream. I used to live in an area where there was really only one ice rink around and it was way too expensive even for public skating. Now I’m fortunate enough to live where there are at least five within a thirty minute radius ❤️ Your dancing is beautiful!
Thank you! Really compare yourself to yourself only, this is your personal journey. And there won’t be improvement every day. Some days I’m worse than before, some days better. ♥️
I think one of my greatest pleasures has been teaching ballet at my old university for almost 12 years. I was able to help young women and men live their dream of learning ballet. Seeing their eyes just light up as they did their first turns even just doing their first lesson... Few moments in my life have felt as rewarding. It's wonderful to see that you followed your heart and your dream. Brava.
This is exactly what I needed to hear! I’m 30 and I just started ballet, it took me so long to start cuz I was afraid I was “too old.” Thank you for this! It’s inspiring!
This inspired me because though I am not quite as old as you, I started ballet "late" also! I started at 14 and now I am almost 15, but I believe in myself and I believe I can become a gorgeous, well trained dancer because I started late. I know that sounds weird, but since I am older I will be able to pick up every little detail! So go chase your dreams yall! There's a reason God put that dream in your head! Wake up and chase it!
I’ve always been so fascinated of ballet and there were never any close ballet classes near me growing up so no one in my city never did ballet only the sports that they offered in school. Now I’m 23 and one of my biggest regrets is not asking my parents to take me to ballet classes. Even though the classes are far I know that my parents would have tried their best to take me. Now that I am older I still have that dream to do ballet but I always feel self conscious about it. By watching your video and other people’s videos who also started late gives me the confidence to just go for it. I know that I’ll never be as great as professional ballerinas but it’s just the idea of doing ballet that makes me happy.
I'm 37 and just started adult ballet classes. The last time was when I took a semester at College at age 21. Thank you for sharing your experience. Very inspiring.
I always loved to sing, but suffered terrible stage fright my entire life. Wouldn't even sing in front of friends or family. I was 38 when someone overhead me singing by chance... And wouldn't let go. 3 years, 2 albums and one local tour later we're getting ready for tour across several countries supporting much more famous band. Don't let age or fear get in your way and don't think about the time you "wasted". Just do what you wanna do
This barely 8 minute video left me so inspired and moved like I haven’t felt for a long time. It’s short but so powerful and to the point. I’m touched, it’s exactly what I needed right now, on the last day of the year.
Love! I took up ballet when I was nearly 60. I was weak and scrawny from cancer treatment and my doctors told me to get exercise. Now I take class four times a week and it's my favorite part of my day. Even if I'm not a great dancer I can embody virtues of joy and health, and that's still a valuable thing.
This was such an incredible video! I am a student dancer who got her pointe shoes last January, and have been dancing for about five years now. When I first started I sucked and didn’t even know what fifth position was 😂It’s such a amazing feeling when you get on stage for the first time! Thank you for this, I hope it inspires more adults or other ages to pursue their dreams! ❤
Thank you, Shena. I’m so happy my video seems to inspire so many of you! It’s such an incredible feeling to live your dreams! Good luck with everything! ♥️
This is so beautiful :) it means a lot to me as a 34yr old now disabled ballerina; I have wanted to dance and perform again. I wanted to be a prima when I was 15 and left prepro because I was 'too short' then have been plagued w/ health stuff anyway... this makes me have hope to just do it in another way. Thank you so much, for sharing your dance and yourself and all these other beautiful people with us. Congrats on fulfilling this dream and I hope you keep dancing!
I hope your health is getting better and better! A statement Pina Bausch loved to use: “Dance, dance, otherwise we are lost.” I don’t know if I’ll perform again, but I just love the freedom I feel whenever I dance. ♥️
I'm 17 and I started training figure skating one year ago, I'm not the best I stopped compare myself to others and now I don't care if someone is more skiled then me I just admire them, It is never to late to start your dream
I really enjoyed this. You are much better than you know. You have a wonderful teacher, he moves with grace. I think for teachers, it doesn't matter at what level you are at, their interest is to see where each dancer is vulnerable and help them get strong, and that goes from beginner to professional. I joined a latin dance troupe when I was 40, we performed regularly, I learned so much about being on stage. Now I'm working on singing and I'm 63. So, never too late. Congratulations. I hope you continue your ballet.
Very inspirational! I started adult ballet at 30 and its super hard but so rewarding! Your progress is so inspirational! To be on pointe at 38 is amazing! Congratulations!!
This is so beautiful! I'm a ballet a dancer and I started at age eleven, I thought I started too late because all the other girls were younger than me and were better dancers. I'm now sixteen and I'm just starting point! I now know not to compare myself to other dancers but to become better than what I was yesterday! Always follower your dreams, work hard and you'll see that they do come true! Be patient and stick it out:)
Please can you do a video about your ballet journey? I also started as an adult and would love to understand how you progressed to pointe, how much you train etc? More ballet content in general 🙏 You seem like a beautiful person inside and out and an inspiration!
Honestly, what your teacher said and what you've achieved has given me hope that I've not had for around 15 years now. I'm 37 and have a connective tissue syndrome called EDS, no one helped me when my mobility started getting bad and now I'm currently in a wheelchair trying to physio myself back into a better body health. I used to dance when I was a kid and damn I miss it. I feel like if I had a teacher like that waiting for me I would have such motivation to keep going and who knows, maybe I would achieve my dreams too :) the fact you've achieved this performance and become a graceful looking dancer with such expressive arms at our age is amazing, keep feeling that music because you are wonderful. Xx
This video is a message that came to me at such a weird time in my life. In august I finished 8+ years of schooling and I’m glad it’s over but truth be told I always had a voice inside me always wishing I had followed a different path. Apart of me always wanted to be a ballerina since I was very little but i wasn’t allowed since it wasn’t law or medical school and now that I’m 28 I figured it was too late for me but thank you for giving me the push and courage I didn’t know I needed to follow my own dreams.
Thank you for this!! I just started at 22 and I had the same struggle with comparing my skill level with starting so late. I've always wanted to be a ballet dancer but my parents never put me into dance because I have a connective tissue disorder that makes sports difficult and even dangerous. Now that I'm able to manage it better I feel more comfortable learning dance while still keeping myself safe. I dont think I'll ever be at the level of a professional.. but that's ok with me.
Good to hear you’re following your dream despite all that. I’m not a pro and that’s fine for me too ☺️ I’m living my own dream, not somebody else’s 😌♥️ good luck!!
This brought me to tears. I’m about to be 19 but I started dance at 14.. I quit at 17 although it’s been my passion for as long as I could remember. I had multiple dance teachers.. some I’m grateful for but others weren’t supportive at all.. they constantly made it clear to me that I could never be any good because I was already too old.. you looked so beautiful in your performance. Thank you for reminding me that as long as I have my passion I am good enough and can only get better.
You're a great inspiration for me. Hoping to start ballet soon, I'm only 20 and I have never had the chance but every year I keep contemplating it and being turned off out of fear. One day I'll get to it and I'll always remember you to keep me motivated
So inspiring!! I started with ballet at 46, and so Happy! Nevera stop dreaming and celebrating our achievements! Such a good teacher! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing
I’m happy for you. Congratulations. I was a professional dancer for 20 years and it took me 12 years to get there. I enjoyed every minute of it. I’m 60 now and my body hurts, but I do not regret any minute I spent dancing. Try Pilates on the equipment, it will advance your training quicker, mobility and balance. Also swim laps, great for your cardiovascular system, so that when you are dancing you never look winded. People don’t realize how much cross training can help with dance. Also take other classes besides ballet. Ballroom, jazz, modern. It helps progress your studies. But most of all keep dancing and enjoy every minute of it. 💕
Dear Tatyana, thank you beyond words for making this video! I nearly cried because this video has transformed a new meaning of life for me and redefining my dreams. Bless your teacher, Sandor Racz, for his phenomenal teaching. I wish more teachers had a perspective like him, where there is no good/bad but simply those who want to train and keep learning and growing. Your video came to me at a perfect time as I can compare myself quite often, making me hesitate to follow a dream. I wish growing up I had more resources and financial support to do something so amazing. When I see you having the opportunity to do ballet at a later age and following your dreams, it makes me feel less worried about following my dreams later in life. In fact, it makes me more hopeful and more inspired to do so. Thank you very much!♥
What a sweet man your instructor is. I too wanted to try ballet at your age. I just completed my master's in social work, wanted to add nursing to my repertoire of skills, and ballet was always at the back of my mind. My father ridiculed it while I was growing up with jokes. But I danced daily anyway from age 12 onwards. However, in the midst of all my professional degrees didn't think my efforts would be appreciated in dance. I applaud you for doing it and finding new and wonderful friends to help you along your journey. You are all beautiful.
Thank you for this video! I t has really helped me with my motivation. I preformed when I was 6-9 with a group twice my age because I was too advanced for the little kids classes. Recently I started ballet again after 10 years away with the dream to preform in the nutcracker, I'm only able to do one class a week because the studio does not offer a class for my age group more then twice a week and the second one is full, so I spend and hour every day working by myself at home. My instructor was blown away by my progress and skill within a month and refused to believe I hadn't danced in 10 years. I am so happy that this year I will be the first person ever from my studio to preform as Clara, not en pointe. Dreams truly can come true if you put in the dedication and work. Now the goal is to preform sugar plum once I am en pointe.
Dance was such a HUGE part of my childhood. I was never as involved as my peers who did company dance and started when they were a toddler, but I still took 3-5 classes a week for 6 years. Performing is my biggest passion: from dance recitals as a kid, to orchestra concerts as a teen, and theatre as a teen/young adult. I'm literally an Acting major in college, I LOVE the arts. I've been missing dance SO much these past few years (especially with moving and discovering that I've been unknowingly autistic my whole life, which brought up a lot of trauma and caused memory issues related to my childhood), and I'm so hyperfixated on ballet right now. When my boyfriend (who knows I've been watching a lot of ballet tiktoks lately) heard me turn on this video, he was like, "Is ballet your thing right now?" And I delved into this long tangent about how big it was for me as a kid, how much I miss it, and how many childhood dreams I never got to fulfill (getting to pointe-- I literally stopped the year I was taking pre-pointe--, being on my high school drill team that I'd gone to summer camps for as a kid, and performing in the Nutcracker alongside my family friend who was a soon-to-be professional ballerina before she got a medical condition that stopped her). I was so passionate well telling him these things that it's confirmed it for me. Plus, we talked about the money side and I can definitely afford it, and he's super supportive of it. There's a studio in my college town that offers adult beginner and intermediate ballet, so I'm going to register for the next year. It just makes sense-- the stage is my home, but my degree is for film and voice acting, so I won't be on the stage for my job, I don't think I want to join any orchestras again (just play my instrument at home), but ballet as a hobby would be a perfect way to get onstage as an adult. It was what made me fall in love with performance, and it would be a great hobby to get back into as an adult. The things you and your teacher said made me feel a lot more sure about beginning again, too. Everyone who I see online learn ballet as an adult never regrets it, so I won't either. I won't take it for granted again, and I won't let autistic burnout get in my way like it did in 7th grade, when I quit because I wasn't going to class and had lost my passion.
This was so incredibly encouraging; Thank you. I will be 31 in February and I have so many dreams I've been slowly working towards that have yet come to pass. And, I don't want to give up on them. Believing that dreams are still possible at this age, especially as a woman is sometimes difficult. I've heard so many say that women peak in our 20's and by 30 it's downhill. I don't want to believe that. Thank you for this inspiration! Good luck on your journey to follow your dreams. God Bless!
Thsi made me so happy. I am a professional dancer but I still have such a long way to go. I started training at 21 which is considered very old in the dance world. But this video inspired me so much because the point of any dance style is to be in community with others moving together. Your love for ballet just flows out of the screen. It’s so refreshing. You have more heart than 90% of the perfect technique bun heads I encounter. I will come back to this video often to remember what Its all about ❤ and btw you have beautiful lines.
I had started ballet for adults at 27, but after 3 years I got pregnant with my son and I had to stop. I wanted to rejoin, but with my back problems would be impossible. My daughter Anita started last year and she likes so much. She is 5 years old. She will do professional ballet at my place! :)
My mom was going to sign me up for ballet lessons when I was 5, but then the studio near us closed. When I was 11, I decided I wanted to dance. I had a close friend at school who went to an expensive academy, and I would go over her house some days after school and ask her to teach me what she knew. My mom signed me up for lessons at the local community college, where I was in a class with only 2 other girls. I remember my teacher was surprised at how good my posture was and how well I already knew the different positions. I would practice new moves at home every week, over and over again. It made me feel so good to work hard and accomplish new things. I felt so excited to find out how good I could be if I kept learning and trying. I also received so many compliments at the time from people on the way I carried myself, because I was confident and had good posture. But after my first recital, my mom told me she couldn't afford for me to take classes anymore. This wasn't the first time my mom told me she couldn't afford for me to do something. I think it was at this point that I gave up on my dreams. I figured, "What's the point in trying? These things don't happen for me, only other people." I've spent so many years wondering "what if?" Comparing myself to other people who have danced for years, feeling like it's too late for me. But seeing this video really gives me hope and makes me want to sign up for classes at almost 30 years old! I really loved everything that was said in this video, and every time I start to forget and doubt myself again, I'll watch this.
I wasn’t allowed to take ballet when I was a child. I have always been mesmerized by ballet my whole life, starting right after I saw a dancer practicing on her own in a studio once when I was 6 or 7. So as an adult in my late 20’s I enrolled in a school; took class 5x a week and performed in many performances. It was a dream come true and I still have so many happy memories. Sadly, I now live in a place with no ballet at all. 😢
Hi there! This was in my recommend section & I'm so glad I clicked on your video!! I was just telling my bf that I would love to go back into dance, but felt "too old" to do so. I danced from when I was 3 until age 15, long story why I stopped. It was my dream to dance, and still is. I don't want to be "a star", dance was very therapeutic for me for what I went through. I'm turning 35 in a few weeks, and this has inspired me to find a dance studio willing to teach "older" folks. Thank you so much!! You gained a new subbie🥰🥰
I started Irish dance at 24 bc I always loved the culture and dance style, but there were no schools where I grew up. Since then, I competed in regionals with groups, local comps with medal placements, and my greatest joy was earning 13th in solo adult trad sets at regionals when I was 27. I performed group dances with kids and adults, and taught dance camps for several years. Some injuries have kept me from full out dancing for a year or two but the dance NEVER leaves me. I aim to return. I think I could have been a very good dancer growing up, but since I didn't get the chance, I'm thankful that I had the courage to walk into that dance studio.
This is so inspiring!!!I've been fascinated with ballet since a young age but never attended any classes. I'm 29 now and want to start ballet mainly because of the things that you have so wisely mentioned, that is the maturity and self-knowledge you gain. I'm currently having piano lessons which help me avoid comparisons of competence. Art is truly healing.
It's funny . . . I'm 53 and I still have occasional literal dreams about floating around effortlessly on pointe performing amazing balletic feats, usually in full costume. I pursued ballet casually as a child but wound up dropping it when it became apparent that I wasn't going to become a career ballerina (it didn't take long). Since then, I've been busy pursuing and achieving other dreams, but I really don't know what to do about this latent one. I actually think that one lifetime isn't sufficient to fulfill all of our dreams, but the most important thing, as Sándor suggests, is to choose one, go for it, and then when you attain it, take some time to enjoy that--and then try another dream! Tatyana, I love your message of only comparing yourself to yourself. That's so right.
So, so inspirational! Loved your story ❤️ I'm 27 and like many people I tend to believe I'm already too old to learn a whole "complex" new thing, such as ballet, I told myself that well, it would be the dance I'd never learn and it is how it is... Seeing you enjoy your life just empowers the part of me that's here anyway and that thinks hell, I'll never be too old to try what I want to try, so maybe when I'm 30 or maybe when I'm 50 I'll learn ballet or violin or drawing and it's absolutely invigorating 😍😍 thank you 🙏 and have a great life!
I'm 31 and about to walk into my first ballet class tonight. I was having second thoughts wondering if I'm being silly trying to live out my childhood dreams at my age. Thank you for this inspiration, I surely needed it!
I love this. I have always said I would have loved to be a ballet dancer. I started figure skating at 23 and I love it. Eventually I would like to learn ballet because I feel like it can come naturally to me and people have always said I look and move like a dancer. ❤️ I felt like I saw your video at the right time. Sometimes I feel like I am "too old" to start something (odd i know) and when I began learning music at 18, my dream is to be a singer and I remember people telling me I will be too old by the time I am famous. Thank you for sharing your journey!
This is so inspirational !! Thank you! I started ballet at 28 and danced for 10 years…and took a 3 year break due to new job and kids. I’ve been working to get back at almost 42 years old. I miss it so much. Thanks so much for the extra motivation! Xoxo
Tatiana, THANK YOU SO MUCH for such an inspiring and motivating video! I’m an amateur baller dancer myself, started in summer 2021 and I’m in love with the ballet just like you. I’m 23, from St.Petersburg and you know since it’s a kinda Russian ballet capital here are plenty of opportunities for taking ballet classes from best teachers! PLEASE, make more videos like that, if really keen on watching as I dream myself or dancing in stage one day! And you’re just awesome, please keep going!
I danced from 7 to 13 , even with BTA for thier nutcracker performance for 4 years. Went back when I was 23 for a year and danced at a studio with my daughter when she was 3. Moved and my previous dance teacher actually moved to where I live now! I'm 38 and starting back up again! Age doesn't matter to me, I'm doing this for me as I need dance in my life 💖 🩰 🎶
Congratulations!! This is beautiful!! I love this message💜 I appreciate your dedication to our art. I began ballet at age 3. It’s a beautiful craft to achieve. You did great🩰
I’m 34 and starting ballet. I’ve given up my dream of becoming a ballerina when I felt that I was too old for it. You remind me that it’s never too late. ❤
I was teary eyed the whole way through. I’m 8 months into my adult beginner ballet journey and I’m in love with it. So happy for you, you look beautiful! I appreciate your teachers words of wisdom as well! ❤ sending love from Washington state, USA.
This was beautiful! Sharing your coach's words of encouragement are so lovely!! Thank you. :) I'm a beginner and deciding at 58 and grateful you posted this. I too want to dance on point. I'm hoping to enjoy each achievement, as your instructor says. Thank you Tatyana!
Sándor's words are so wise and inspiring! Not putting a distiction between professional and amateur and simply recognizing what needs to be done! All his words are applicable to life too!😊
Congratulations to you! I am a 69 year old non-professional dancer. I started as a child and never really stopped, except periods of time when my kids were little or my parents were sick. Fortunately I live in a big city with a nationally ranked ballet company and several smaller modern companies, so there have always been classes here for non-professional but serious adult ballet dancers. But I am SO THRILLED that adult classes have just mushroomed everywhere in the last few years. There is no better way to keep active, physically, mentally, and socially. I think TH-camrs have helped a lot to get more folks coming to class, so thanks for your channel!
I told my brother and his best friend tonight that in about 9 months I'll be taking ballet class. I have not danced since college and I'm 51 now. Friend was encouraging but Brother gave me side-eye and said "YOU'RE going to take ballet?" He knows how uncoordinated I am when not dancing and doesn't realize that some people are clumsy off the dance floor but can actually dance. I think I'm one of those. And of course I will be beginning with all the room in the world for improvement. Don't let anyone stop you with their opinions, especially siblings because their job is to make fun of you lol. If my brother can be a musician for fun, I can be a dance student for fun. When I really put my mind to something, I do it. I also want to draw attention to how kind and encouraging Julia is. Her warmth and love for other people shines.
Today I had a really rough day because I started martial arts some months ago (I'm 24) and it's one of those days when you really feel you're just not good enough or you should have started years ago.. and you're just late. You know, when all your fears seem to come true and insecurity takes over. But actually it's not the truth. I love that I've started because I always wanted to do it but i was too shy and introverted about my body and how to move and manage it, especially in front of other people. Thank you so much. I just needed this and it popped in my recommendations. Thank you
You’re welcome! We all have those kind of days once in a while. Try not to listen to that voice. It’s just your limiting beliefs talking. But you can train yourself to conquer those beliefs.
THIS WAS SO INSPIRING!! I started playing violin at 30 (I'm 32 now) and have felt like I started waaaay too late. I haven't really let myself dream that I could make something of this or perform one day (for fear of being disappointed), but you've encouraged me to dream big and to keep working hard ❤️ Thank you so much and good luck with ballet!
Love this! I’m not into ballet but i do love dance ~ particularly Latin! Joining a dance class 2 years ago has absolutely changed my life for the better - I may not be the best of the best, but it brings me absolute JOY 🥰💃 not that it matters - but i’d just like to add that I’m 34 and I am in much better shape , feel much more attractive, and enjoy life so much more than I did in my 20’s...☺️ thank you for posting this uplifting and inspiring content ! ❤️💕🤗
Thank you for sharing this. Your story is so very inspiring to me (a 40 year old who picked up music in her mid-late 30s). Sometimes it’s easy to feel disposable, or insignificant because of our age…or because we don’t fit an acceptable norm. Your teacher’s words are reaching beyond his students, and your dedication has inspired me to keep dreaming myself. Thank you, again. ❤
You’re AMAZING ❣️❣️❣️
True. He is indeed a great teacher ☺️👏🏻
LOVE IT!
@@larissaswayze oh, you’re teaching ballet? 🥰 I feel so amazed by professionals watching my video as well and encouraging us. Thanks so much ♥️
I am a professional musician and educator.
As our choir director says: amateur comes from Amor - love! We should never see it as a derogatory term, ever.
Wow, you live ballet and violin, and 26. Hifi
@@yoanaspace7342 ☺💌👏👏👏👏👏thank you...for sharing, so there is a way even for me to learn.
we have the same dreams girl 😭 it makes me want to cry, it’s so hard
Thank you for sharing this! I started ballet when I was 31 too! I had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and I decided to do all those things that I dreamed of as a girl. So I danced and sewed. And guess what? I got better! I’m 39 now and wasn’t expected to survive! Keep inspiring others! Everyone follow your dreams! 🩰💗✨
I’m so happy you’re getting better !! 🥰
You kept your spirit alive! Very inspiring ❤
Question. Prior to the cancer did you live life in fear?
Maybe it seems crazy but next week I'm 82 and a couple of months ago I joined an adult ballet class to fulfil a childhood dream. I was so thrilled to get my pink ballet shoes and although it's not easy as I'm also losing my sight I love it. Dreams do come true
I’m so happy for you 🩰💕
So beautiful!! Congratulations 🎉! Jesus loves you and i love you too! 😊...oh and joyful birthday to you! 😊
Way to go ma'am! I bet you're amazing!
I started ballet lessons at age 56 and my first stage performance 3 years later (with lock down in between). You are never too late to realise your dreams.
That is so inspiring. I'm 55 and I love watching ballet. I've looked for adult ballet classes on my area. I would love to learn.
Wow, inspiring - so now I am even more confident to go to adult ballet class 😊
I'm inspired as I am 56. I took some as a kid then briefly in my 30s
I’m glad I found this. I’m nervous about beginning my first adult class but it’s in me, I need to act it out! Dance it out*! First class is Tuesday ❤️
@@kpeezyforsheezy How was your first ballet class? :)
I hope to see you dance more.😊💝💝
Thank you for sharing your story as well, that’s amazing! 🥰
Y’all are just gonna make me cry! So inspirational!
I loved that you are doing what you LOVE no matter what the age. Well done. Keep dreaming… you have a great dance coach… 😘
@Trinity M it made me smile too😌
wow!!🥹👏🏻
As someone who has gotten into dance in my 40s this is so inspiring to me. ❤
Thank you! 🥰
Wow
@@y2kallday665 Yes, humans are resilient and amazing. I'm excited for them.
Very welcome! 🥰
I'm turning 38 this month, and I feel exactly the same way! This was so inspiring! 🤍
@@EyseaSol We’re twins! 🥰
Ok, but nobody is talking about how beautiful she is at 38 yrs!😍
38 years young. your inner beauty has aged you so well. You're inspirational
I'm going through a bit of an identity crisis right now- comparing myself to others my age and where they're at in life, not knowing who I want to be or where I want to go and just generally feeling behind in life. It feels like a miracle to have stumbled across this video at this point in time. This was a message I didn't know I needed until I heard it- thank you so much
Same situation here!
100% agree
I wish they would teach us this vital lesson in life, parents & schools, to only compare ourselves with ourselves ❤
I had my first performance this year, I had just turned 51. (I started ballet in my late 40s.) I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to do it again.
I'm learning to play piano for the first time over the age of 40. With zero previous musical instrument experience. In one year I can play several songs and recorded my journey each month (which I highly recommend).I hope to take it to another level and do a concert one day. It's NEVER too late to follow your dreams❤❤❤
I also started piano two weeks ago. I'm 36, I think it's not too late. Progress is there and music makes me happy 🎶😊
I am turning 22 and starting ballet soon. This is really inspiring. Congratulations! You are stunning and such an amazing dancer.
So happy you enjoyed my video! ♥️
Beautifully said!
Nothing is ever too late. This is about you, your own level, your own skills. Live you dream, for yourself! 😘
You will see that your body remembers a lot. It will be much easier for you compared to someone who has not danced as a child
Very welcome! ✨🤍
Thank you so much! And I wish you all the best for your dance training :) it can be difficult but it’s so worth it! Merry Christmas 🎄🥰
dear Ilona, what contemporary school do you study at? im so interested! thank you, angel
Wow! I am 31 and starting ballet haha with zero strength, flexibility etc...! I hope I can become as graceful as you at 38!! How beautiful and inspiring, thank you for sharing this! You look amazing!
Oh wow!! Let us know how you go! 💜
This is so inspiring -- I've just started ballet myself at 31 and I would love to perform on a stage again, just to do it!
Thank you! 🥰
Now I’m fortunate enough to live where there are at least five within a thirty minute radius ❤️
Your dancing is beautiful!
Thank you! Really compare yourself to yourself only, this is your personal journey. And there won’t be improvement every day. Some days I’m worse than before, some days better. ♥️
I'm 17, and I've always regretted not doing ballet when I was younger and this is so inspiring
I'm 33 and have been on and off practicing ballet since 29. This gives me so much hope! You're an inspiration!
You got this, love you ❤️ 💪
Continue your dance journey I started back last year at 31
I think one of my greatest pleasures has been teaching ballet at my old university for almost 12 years. I was able to help young women and men live their dream of learning ballet. Seeing their eyes just light up as they did their first turns even just doing their first lesson... Few moments in my life have felt as rewarding. It's wonderful to see that you followed your heart and your dream. Brava.
That’s so beautiful to hear, what a wonderful mindset! It’s very rewarding for me right now to read all these wonderful comments! Thank you 🥹♥️
It's so lovely to see such a warm and passionate teacher who clearly supports your journey.

That was totally uplifting. I never thought adults could learn to dance on point. That just inspired me to consider taking ballet classes as well. 🙂
Age, skin color, body type ect shouldn’t matter! Ballet is beautiful! All that matters is a passion for dance. You’re an inspiration! 🩰
Every dream in life should be based on this: passion! Thank you! ♥️
Thank you! ♥️
As someone who wants to begin dancing in my 30s I can’t tell you how inspiring this video is and how needed it is
That’s wonderful to hear 🤍

Thank you very much!♥
I’m tearing up. As someone who just turned 30 I feel so inspired by you and this video. Thank you so much for sharing.
Isn't Vienna amazing? Amazing mix of people, amazing opportunities, the love of life! Congratulations and keep doing what you like everyone!
Thank you so much and good luck to you! 😘
“You must enjoy what you’ve already achieved. That’s really important.” 💛
What an honor and priviledge to train with your teacher, and you are delightful. I began ballet at 27 and this gives me hope
These things don't happen for me, only other people."
I've spent so many years wondering "what if?" Comparing myself to other people who have danced for years, feeling like it's too late for me.
But seeing this video really gives me hope and makes me want to sign up for classes at almost 30 years old! I really loved everything that was said in this video, and every time I start to forget and doubt myself again, I'll watch this.
Thank you Tatyana. You inspired me so much that I now tell myself I shouldn't give up on many many goals in life.
Please don’t give up on your goals! ♥️
OMG!!! I started Ballet at 31, too! Four Months ago! You are so beautiful and inspiring person. Thanks so much to show how beutiful ballet is
So, so inspirational!
Figure skating is so beautiful! Would love to try, but I’d have to first improve my basic skating skills on ice 😅
Good luck with your ballet journey. Russian ballet is amazing!! ♥️
So inspiring! 👏🏻 love your ballet teacher’s comment about enjoying your success! Thank you for this motivational content
Thank you! Yes, Sandor is fantastic! 🤭
You did great🩰
Thank you so much! ♥️ I really admire all of you who started ballet at a young age! 🩰
Thank you for your kind words! 🤍
What a sweetheart of a human he is! 🥹
It's never too late! I started as a child and started again in my 20s! Thanks for this, j'adore ❤
