So Dimebag Darrel ( guitarist) and Vinnie ( drummer) are brothers. Unfortunately they are the only two people that have passed away in this band to date. Dimebag was shot in the head on stage by a deranged fan and Vinnie died in his sleep here in Las Vegas a few years ago. They can NEVER be replaced.
"Unfortunately they are the only two people that have passed away in this band to date." What are you saying? That you wish the ENTIRE band was dead, too? Grammar matters, my friend.
The ONLY thing even remotely close is fucking Born of Osiris, (original EP) abstract Art. This is the GOAT of breakdowns... but abstract art is about as close as you can get. Maybe About 44 seconds in to Open Arms of Damnation by Born of osiris off that same Album... really that whole album is a total masterpiece. I know they rerecorded it, but im still partial to the OG.
I would highly recommend their song " Cemetery Gates " to see the vocal range and the range of songs they have to offer. In their earlier days the lead singer Phil Anselmo had some serious vocal range on displayed with emotional clean vocals that make you feel the weight of what he sings about. Cemetery gates is so different from their usually sound and its so worth reacting to
That Is russia after the collapse of the ussr .there was 1.6 million people there .the guitarist and drummer are brothers .sadly, the guitarist was murdered on stage at a concert. rip dime bag
Ran a record store when they toured for Reinventing The Steel. They did an autograph session at my store the day before Ozzfest(the year Sabbath headlined) after the show I got to hangout with them backstage since they knew who I was now. It was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I was doing shots and bsing with both brothers. They were 2 of the most down to earth celebs I’ve ever met. Had Tim the Ripper Owens with me as well. He had just joined Judas Priest and they’d make him do the halford scream and then we’d take a shot. Did about 5-6 in a row lol. Good times!!
Cool got here early(3hours after😂) Ya. My older sister use to party with Pantera in the 80s when they were a Glam Metal band playing clubs here in Houston. Totally different sound then what they became. Try 3 songs that you'll love I promise 1) Metallica-From whom the bells toll(A day on the green) video with basses Cliff shredding. 2) Black Sabbath-War Pigs(several live ones that are great) 3) Led Zeppelin Immigrant Song Live New to the Channel, so gonna get some food ready and watch em all. Keep it up and enjoy the Rock Journey
You picked a good one. I had this on vhs at age 19, we watched it a lot. Pantera was just hitting their stride at this time. Rex and Phil said they were ready to record "Vulgar Display of Power" , but went to Moscow , before coming back to tecord it. Domination was from the previous LP. This live version is better than the studio version from CowboysFrom Hell. This live version (and Phil's vocals) is more in line with their sound from Vulgar Display of Power releasef the next year in 1992
Welcome to the Fold! With Pantera, sometimes its tough to discern between the Bass and the Guitar, because theyll play almost the same part over each other making the sound hard....but dont forget Rex on Bass, hes always there doing his thing.
The last time metallica was the gods of metal, after their performance it was clear to everyone including metallica & acdc that there was a new metal god pantera!
It was the day before my 28th birthday that my favorite guitarist was murdered. I didn't know until the day after. I'm forced to forgive (I still haven't), but I refuse to forget. I only had 5 lessons, but I had to pay for them and split the hour with a neighbor who really wasn't into it. The teacher was a metal head and I would play some Metallica. I was 15 and he gave me a "Cowboys From Hell" CD to keep. I blew out my first guitar on the dive bar trying to play "This Love" while I was on house arrest for a DUI in '09. Semi-sober now 😂 Check that one out. RIP DIME AND VINNIE!!!
I love this video. Took place in Moscow in 1991 after the Berlin wall fell they had a free metal concert with Metallica. You should check out Metallica and all the bands that played at that 1991 Moscow concert. 1.8 million people were there. For guitar stuff I think you would like my favorite guitarist, he's weird and I love that, but amazing... Good introduction to Buckethead: Buckethead - One of the best, most emotional versions of Soothsayer Live @ Gothic 9-28-2012 th-cam.com/video/dyQJH615KwA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VoL_sFomru4KB-7t He takes it to another level: Buckethead - Jordan live at the Culture Room th-cam.com/video/Pas-cMsWIgM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CCljsNdQ6gntG__W
I love watching these first time reactions and how they’re really getting into it and they have no idea they’re also going to experience the best metal breakdown ever recorded…..
This performance right here was right before this band got hotter than the surface of the sun lol pantera was the band that flew that heavy metal flag for an entire decade. The rest is history as they say, great reaction bro
If you like the drums , I suggest you listen to Sully Erna and Shannon Larkin from Godsmack they have a drum battle . Sully is the lead singer and Shannon is the drummer .
Oh man, this performance of Domination is absolutely legendary. Not only is their performance outstanding, but _the crowd!_ This festival was massive for the audience as well, the accessibility of which representing a successful negotiation between political dissidents and the government at the time. Bro. Estimates have this crowd at *over 1.5M fans* attending. You can never underestimate the power of music! Absolutely loved your energy and reaction, thanks so much for sharing! This band is one of the most important rock bands in the last several decades. Pantera completely changed the landscape of metal at the time, and since. To this day I bet you can't find a rock guitarist that doesn't look up to Dimebag Darrell. Each one of these members *HAVE. A. SEAT. AT. THE. TABLE.*
Both Abbot brothers were monsters in their own right; Dime was one of the greatest guitarists of all time ; people revere his skill to this day long after his passing , His brother vinnie was a goddamn machine on the drums . even for a guy who was a bit bigger in size then the average man ; he was hitting them drums like they owed him money , his Double bass sound is one i can recognize out of thousands of drummers , Vinnie just had that MONSTER sound when it came to double bass drum Rip Brothers !
Top 5 Fav Band! You're getting some good suggestions so far. You should listen to CHEVELLE-Clincher or 311- Homebrew. Keep on rocking in the free world🤘🤘
I watch a fair amount of reaction vids. Mostly Metal. And I find that black dudes who are hardcore hip hop fans are Metalheads underneath it all. It's the aggression and power. Is it not? You tell me author.
Absofuckinglutely bro! One of the greatest live bands I've even seen. Their energy was completely unmatched. Might compare to old Van Halen performances with DLR but there will never EVER be another band like Pantera. RIP Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul.
Pantera were the ultimate metal experience back in the day, and it's so nice to see the newer generation of metalheads loving the music as much as I did, and still do at 45 years old. GREAT SOUTHERN TREADKILL , volume up and hold on 😂
You need to react to the entire album of theirs named "Vulgar Display of Power" . It is wall to wall punk-ass smacking fight fuel. The first song is "Mouth for War". You won't regret it.
So going back through your content so far, my suggestion is to get into Slipknot asap. You would love Duality. Or Psychosocial. Or Nero Forte. Fuck it, just their whole discography lol
If you want drumming, watch people=shit by Slipknot. There is a live version with a drum cam that shows the master… Joey Jordison. It’s insane how good he was. RIP
Aw yeah. That's the good stuff. Metallica played this same show. You should check out their performance of Harvester of Sorrow. Not only is it a pretty great performance of a kind of underrated song, there is a bunch of footage of the crowd from later on after Pantera when MANY more people showed up. It's wild. The kind of thing that will never, ever happen today.
It's true that generally white people can't dance but I'd say that black people can't headbang. It's hilarious to watch, making no sounds, bobbing left and right not knowing what part of the song to headbang to. Is it the snare? Or the kick? or the riff? It's pretty widespread in the black reaction channel community.
Answer the question then if metal is now a react then why is alternatives still get attacked for being different since I was 13 I had to defend myself from norms (people who don't like alts) I thought music was suppose to bring people together
You should do “one” by Metallica make sure you watch the music video, it’s a great song with a very well put together story and the music video really adds to the experience
Day 3 of requesting ghost: love the reactions but people got you doing the same songs and bands everyone else reacts to. Ghost isnt as common of reactions and just as good. Pick any song and you wont be disappointed but my recommendations are as follows; "Dance Macabre" "Witch Image" "He is" or "Year Zero"
Been checking out your reactions lovin the content so far. Gotta check out Korn now too. Check out “Blind” or “freak on a leash” “coming Undone” just to name a few
By far, the best reaction I've seen to one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. You earned a new sub 😂 That "what the fuck!?" at the breakdown, dude you might've spoiled breakdowns for yourself cause there are not many better than this lol.
@NatReacts_ Np! Cool to see people expand their music selection. I don't do it often myself, I consider myself an old-head who just listens to what he already knows, lol. Love seeing the excitement from people when they hear an absolute banger. Kinda like chasing the dragon, letting me relive that magic again 🤣
R.I.P. Dime and Vinnie, you are so missed!

@@jhamler1 feck off. You know what I meant.
rip to my boys
@@jhamler1 It threw me off also lol
This song has the best breakdown in all of metal. Goosebumps evertime it hits!
I challenge you to find a heavier drop than that in music. That solo was god-tier, as well. Fucking legend.
I was gonna say, the only one that I can think of is “Davidian” Machine Head
I would highly recommend their song " Cemetery Gates " to see the vocal range and the range of songs they have to offer. In their earlier days the lead singer Phil Anselmo had some serious vocal range on displayed with emotional clean vocals that make you feel the weight of what he sings about. Cemetery gates is so different from their usually sound and its so worth reacting to
Agreed. Love you guys......dimes....big vin.....you are so missed. Glad you discovered this bro. Keep rocking.
That Is russia after the collapse of the ussr .there was 1.6 million people there .the guitarist and drummer are brothers .sadly, the guitarist was murdered on stage at a concert. rip dime bag
When pantera finished that song, dimebag (guitarist) said to Kirk Hammett of Metallica, "Top that one..."
😊😊😊
2024 still can't be matched

I seen dimebag when he was 17. Knew he was special then. As for guitarist.. Mr. Crowley Best Solo ever... Period. Randy Rhodes left us way too soon .
Creeping Death by Metallica from the same show is WILD!
