Awesome informative video, really appreciated. Thank you! Because of my inexperience, I overwatered my avocado tree and it died ( or so I thought) from root rot. Months after I stopped watering it I realized that it was actually alive and had started growing up from the very bottom, since the rest of the tree (graft included) is dried. The new branch is about a foot below the grafting. Do I need to graft it again? Thank you!
Could I please cover the avocado buds with Paraflim grafting tape when I am grafting young avocado seedling..? Can the buds able to brake through to the Paraflim grafting tape ....? It is very important to me to know ... Please let me know .I am your big fan from Myanmar....
Hi, I have a Etinger Avacodo tree which gave me some large avacodos last season. I planted 2 of the seeds in a glass water with tooth picks and they are now growing nicely about 1 foot tall and starting to get leaves on top. to get fruit faster and more accurately tasting as the original, can I use this new tree as the root stock and graft a brance from the 10 year old mature tree as a scion? will this reproduce the same fruit? Thanks
Hi sir my question is what's the difference of pruning and grafting, seeds grown on a glass of water how many months will it bear fruits from the day its transplanted to a big plastic pot thanks
7 to 10 YEARS to get fruits from a seedling, plus a tree from a seed won't yield the same type of fruit, most of the time it will be of inferior quality than the fruit of the parent tree. That's why if the goal is to get a tree that produces fruits of good quality quickly (the second year after planting) you need to graft a scion from an already producing tree of a known cultivar of your choice.
Early fruiting with known variety. Seeding grown avocados might even take 15yrs to give fruit which may or may not give the taste you like . Unlike graft variety which give the exact variety of the parents and also fruit faster like within 3 to 4 yrs maximum. Hope you get it😀
Please allow a non knowing person to as You a question. I live in Panama. We have an Avocado tree that has a decent flavor to the fruit. My wife likes the Mexican variety much better. Can we grow the Mexican pit then graft our tree onto it to cause it to fruit sooner. Will we have the Mexican Avocado or the Avocado from the old tree? Thank You for Your time.
Plant any avocado and graft whatever you like onto it. Avocado trees can also be multigrafted, meaning you can have several different types of avocado on the same trees. Take a piece off a tree which makes a fruit you like and graft it onto your frankencado
I am Montagnard Central highland I love to learn how to graft .
Buddy tape covering all of the scion is essential for success, to maintain moisture while the graft incisions heal

Hi how do I know if my seedling is ready for grafting?
May I know the age of the rootstock before grafting
What's reason to graft the tree if you use the same tree and or same age of the tree?

How old the rootstock?

Plz , why should we do grafting ?

Faster production
English and Kikuyu? Yeah, just without the English. Stop fake titles!
English starts at 0:00, Kikuyu starts at 2:34. So what's fake about the title?
I Don't like
Pls! Speak English we can't understand you!
very inspiring. for more grafting, air layering and stem cuttings tree you can get in my channel
Great ! although I think that there is more description in the Kikuyu version .
Just out of curiosity, what happens if you graft a young plant on a young plant?.. any advantages?

the top off the seedling on a branch off the big tree.

Whatever you graft on the top is what fruit it will have
Thanks sir
Nice video thanks for sharing
When grafting, does the root have to be the same type of tree (just a different variety) as the graft? Or, can it be just any tree with a good root?
Same type
The cutting shown at 3:30 to graft, is that from a fruiting tree? How should I select that cutting? Pls help.

very good lesson.. thanks
What tree is the rootstock, is it a deferent species of avocado?
Could be the same, could be different. What matters is your scion must be from a tree that had already bore fruits.
The rootstock tends to be a local variety that is used to the local weather
