But when the Ukraine war started in 2022, the Latvian-speaking Rigans turned on the Russian-speaking Rigans, and the Russian-speaking Rigans felt ashamed to speak Russian publicly. ☹️ So I think the girl was delighted to hear a foreigner speak Russian to her, in her first language. 🤔

I first arrived to Riga summer 2000, and i got really impressed, since then i have been going there every summer ( not this one thou 😑) it was very wild at 2000...i still remember Pepsi Forum, Nautilus, thsnks god is friday and Studio 69....it was absolutely crazy & wild !!! The city has improoved a lot in 22 years, but nightlife has been reduced a lot as well 😑 !! Maybe better because for a while it was even considered the Bangkok of Europe !!! Anyway i love Riga & Latvia and hope to be there again next summer !!!
Justin! I'm in Riga, holiday. Weather is cold it snows, but l get used, coming from the Alps. The central market is huge!! Amazing place, there's also the gastronomy, where l will always eat. Yeah, l like Riga, the old city and it's churches. I will return, don't know when, but l will. You're right, this city is great!!

I live outside city center, but I was in city center few hours ago and there was trash everywhere.. and everything stink. I was quite shocked I'm sad that tourists need to see that when they arrive with bus.
It’s like the blast from the past kind of video for me. It has changed quite a bit since I’ve been there. I don’t do nightclubs anymore but I believe I’ve been to most of them back in the day. I liked that Riga never slept. There was always plenty of places to chose from. Good choice of song for karaoke. 👍🏻I’m on Elvis marathon lately.

There was a place named essential, that was the best place in all the times, im pretty sure its not possible to find another place like this in Riga, i went there in 2007, there were just beautiful ladies, they looked like goddesses, even i was married with a girl from riga named Viktorija, id like to know if it is worth to go there today in 2023

It's true, there are many russians in Rīga, maybe you should visit Cēsis, it's the most Latvian town in Latvia. And on top of that, it's very beautiful and the Cēsis castle is interesting, i recommend to hire a guide
It all looks a bit commercial and overpriced. I’m wondering if there’s any interesting underground electronic music places, you know, something with a bit more soul, decent people, no rip off places. I believe you’ve been there a while so know the place well enough to know maybe. I’ve lived in the Czech Republic for a while and wouldn’t mind getting out and trying Riga. Thanks.
Hello mate, Honestly the prices were fair, except for the Skyline, but that would be the same in any 5 star hotel in Europe. I have been to a few more intense places, I guess you would call them, but with only alcohol it is hard to keep up. I like the more mainstream parties that end while it is still dark!!! My after party days are over mate! The years have caught up with me. Thanks for watching and all the best

Hello I am not sure what to make of your comment??? I am not a prejudice person, I spend time with Latvians, Russians, Brits, French, Poles, Americans... To me a language a person speaks is not important!!! I like nice friendly people, that is the only criteria I use to determin who I "spend time" with. As for governments medling in people's rights, well I am pro less centralised structures and more freedome. All the best
