Literally whenever someone picks Kokomi when me and my friend are doing coop, we both shout into the mic 'KOKOMIIIIIIIIIIIIII' it's so funny, we just know we're not dying
"Tanker" is a weird thing to say a genshin character is good for. Like, yeah, if you don't have a shielder and she happens to be on-field when you get hit it's less of a big deal than other characters, but afaik no character even has a "taunt" that makes enemies focus on them yet, making the closest thing to an actual tank even in coop characters like Amber, Mona and Itto that can throw decoys that attract enemy attention (Ningguang used to be included in that with her jade screen eating aggro, but it was not an intended mechanic so she got nerfed). Anyway one thing I don't think he mentioned in the video is that she's also one of the best taser drivers. Very niche but still fun. She's similar to Zhongli in that she both does many things for your team at once, AND can be built to do many DIFFERENT things (though her DPS potential is absolutely dwarfed by his, especially since he can fully benefit from Yun's ENORMOUS buff, while Kokomi's lack of damage multipliers from crit means she is literally the single worst user of Yun Jin in the entire game).
@@vitriolicAmaranth "no character has a taunt" Because you usually have only 1 on field at once. A taunt makes no sense to target the character, only other things like what Ganyu and Amber do.
@@Naokarma Early in the game's life there was a lot of consideration paid to coop, actually. Consider Zhongli's C2, which is almost (though not completely) useless in singleplayer, for example. More recently, there has been a subtle shift back toward coop-friendly characters; Consider for example that Yun and Shen buff all your coop partners (other driver-based characters mostly don't), and Kokomi's heal being aoe means it's the only off-field or automatic ability that can heal coop partners (eg in 2p coop). Also it's readily apparent you're not an Abyss player, because Abyss is one place where it would be incredibly useful to have a taunt (and it is useful to have decoys) due to the difficulty of "protect the monument" challenges there without some form of crowd control (freeze, petrification, anemo succ, or decoys, though by far the easiest to use would be a taunt).
I jus randomly rolled and randomly got her only just started using her and i gotta say she feels pretty good in taser team i run her with childe fischl and beidou and the team runs pretty smooth i jus need 2 invest more
As someone who has played Sukokomon a lot I would say that it has its drawback like it being an overloaded team and Kokomi's jellyfish being immovable. The team is difficult to execute but with that said the team's DPS is so fucking high that even messing the rotations completely still results in a good clear. The fact that it is a non-Bennett team while giving such a high dps makes it an amazing team.
Sucrose and xiangling, two op 4*s, are in it so it's not that surprising. Still, sukokomon is an interesting team and i like how kokomi is able to open up new teams
Agreed, however something else to note that the swirl damage is highest when u have multiple enemies. So for instance the floor with the 2 ruin guards (floor 12-3 first half), the team damage output is not bad, but ur only doing the swirl damage on two enemies. However if you're in a floor with many enemies (Like floor 12-1 second half, or the previous spiral abyss floors with like 12 enemies) sukokomon ends up being insanely strong since ur swirl damage is being spread out into so many enemies, it's insane aoe. The team is not bad in single target damage also, its just energy issues might be a problem so u got to invest more in energy recharge, and for single target damage they are way more better options.
MHY could have made her a player base favorite if only her jellyfish followed you around, that simple part of her kit would have given her so much value but leave it to MHY to not realize something like that 🤦

When Kokomi was getting sharted on, I used her for some time in abyss. I was really surprised to see how well she does with just Fischl and Beidou for my super unkillable taser team. 100% burst uptime, hydro application for electro-charged, and surprisingly decent damage for a normal attack around 7k-10k. Not to mention unkillable, literally. At that time I was genuinely confused on what makes Kokomi so disliked when people barely tried her. Till this day I still use her in abyss and she does well!
Yes! I feel like the taser team was really missed out on in this video. I play Kokomi in a team with Fischl, Beidou and Kazuha and they usually clear their abyss half faster than my Hu Tao team (currently have 33 stars with these teams). This team is so easy to play, unkillable, can spam bursts all the time and has so much damage output, I love it. Would definitely recommend. But I should probably add that I have Beidou and Fischl on C6 and that both have 5* weapons (Skyward Pride and Thundering Pulse), which contribute a lot to their insane performance.
i used zhongli before he got omega buffed and i enjoyed him at that time, his ult did 100k and i had decent phy dmg,idk why people were complaining about him too, hi5 to the play for fun gang :3
I think I was the same way too as someone who accidentally got her and then got her "bad" weapon within 5 pulls. Because of that, I thought that I may as well build this "bad" character for laughs, but didn't find her to be bad at all..
I raised her for the memes and was like "wait what" she's better than even the characters people call rly good and look whos the triplecrown kokomi main now XD And I feel like anyone elses for tazer doesnt work nearly as well as koko's.... Just kinda 9☆ abyss w her and no I didnt build beidou else people would be saying its beidous dmg aint it? Just a copium build yae and fischl, sucrose. Most dmg I think? Is from kokomi... I swirled so it can get 13, 15k NA
They should give us er% and passive should be normal and charged attacks should be buffed by 15% after using the buff. And maybe give hp% or healing bonus.
i got kokomis c1, and she's actually very helpful. She can heal a lot, her jellyfish duration is really long(good for freeze teams), and she surprisingly does a LOT on her burst. I definitely reccomend her
btw: i wasn't even really pulling for kokomi at first(I was pulling for rosaria) and did a 10 pull with the anniversary primos and got 2 kokomis and a mona somehow I had 20 pity and I was on my 50/50 I have no regrets whatsoever, shes so helpful
I have C1 Kokomi and she's been so good ever since, I had no Zhongli so when I got Kokomi i was really surprised how she's so good at what she does. Her healing makes everything so comfortable especially with corrosion. Her off-field hydro application is unrivaled. I know Healing is kind of not deemed that valuable but having that comfortability really changes everything. She's really a walking statue of the seven. Her dmg isn't not the best but she's good enough for a healer support that you can switch to when your dps is on downtime. If you like her and her design and kit, you should really pull for her ! but if you don't have other existing powerful characters, then you should probably look for other 5 stars since Kokomi is good for players who want the highest of the highs. If you're still struggling with your acc's power level then having Kokomi whose a healer/support for powerful characters isn't the first priority, you should get characters that she can support first before getting her

I was one of the few people who always wanted kokomi and never regreted it. I'm using her as a healer/DPS because her consistent burst damage is actually quite good
Yeah, I build her as a healer but the ocean hued set makes her like a Dps. Edit: I was so surprise where the physical dmg comes from. The artifacts hits harder than my Main dps.
Since I got Ayaka I insteantly wanted Kokomi for her jelly fish even though I don't really like her design. The community shat on her but I always thought she is pretty strong for a healer so I never did understand their views of a character is bad if they don't do a billion damage.
Something to add: her normal attacks, even when not in burst, have an AMAZING "target-seeking" attribute, that allows her to even attack behind her if there's no enemies in front of her. It's awesome for not missing attacks and making her field time more worthwhile
One thing I like about her Kit is that her E duration can practically be unlimited if you know how to time it. She also has targeted ballistic fish missiles which complements her burst heals.
same here, was skipping Raiden because of Kokomi and her gorgeous design no regret at all she's doing amazing in my Ayaka freeze team also it allows me to freed Xingqiu to be able to use it in pyro team
She's a good hydro applicator + can utilize 2 artis sets effectively (tenacity and ocean clam)..not to mention her thrilling tales and prototype amber utilization.. however, you need to make sure you understand her kit and jellyfish positioning...other than that, I'm immortal when she's in my team.. specially in the abyss..
I think Kokomi is more like Zhongli. She's really goot at what she can do. People who utilize her would like her so much. But people who gameplay doesn't need healer that much or aoe hydro application would think she is trash.
yea. my thoughts exactly. And their problem is almost the same. They're easily replaceable but that doesnt mean they themselves bad, they just offer quality of life.
She and Zhong similar roles Zhongli s difference will be the Interruption to resistance.. This is not something a lot of chars or comps want but also some do so when its for everywhere else where its not required u can have same results with koko
Yeah I agree. She’s probably the best healer in the game same as zhongli being the thickest shield in game. I think every player should have both of them just cuz of the quality of life they bring.
She's even better than Zhongli at some points. She's a great hydro applicator, which means she can enable alot more reactions compared to ZL. She heals, and can be a TTDS holder. They're so alike but also so different in their own respective areas.
@@seid_1068 yeah but shield brings a different type of quality of life improvement, in cases where healing can't be done fast enough during enemy's continuous attacks shield is the best option. For example, Azdaha, no healer heals fast enough for me to not get killed during its 4 continuous pounces move.
i cannot recommend pulling for kokomi unless your account already very comfortable DPS units. I personally pulled for koko because I thought it would be funny to have her when no one else does. She is a extremely comfortable unit to play with, and a massive utility boost kinda like zhongli, but better in some situations where shielding is less beneficial. Her hydro application is phenomenal and very consistent. if your account however is lacking a hydro applicator or a healer, kokomi is a incredible pull. 10/10, kokomi is great.
I'm still debating whether to pull for ayato or kokomi. I have 3 good dps's already but only 1 built hydro unit and healer and that's xinqiu and bennett. Do you think I should go for kokomi or go for ayato then just build my other 4* healers?
@@lumi4711 since you mentioned you have other healers, I think it's safe to say that you should go for ayato and wish for kokomi on her next rerun since both of them are hydro applier and ayato, if talking about big dmg, is better than kokomi but if you think you really need kokomi because of her overhealing (+ decent dmg while healing during burst) and her advantage in hydro application as a catalyst then go for kokomi
@@lumi4711 it depends on what you need, kokomi has much more reliable hydro application than ayato because his burst cost 80, and when you use his skill to gain energy, you need field time. tho ayato is more like a dps so he deals more damage than kokomi.
I didnt regret getting her at all i loved her design and everything, she carries me alot in everything as well infinite freeze, sub-dps with yunjin she can easy take a floor alone in the abyss
@@slushys9919 As someone who had her since day one she has never left my team. She's applies hydro non stop with no ICD on it so perma-freeze since I'm a Cryo main, her burst does good damage (way better than everyone thinks), she can tank like hell with her high health pool, her jellyfish can heal a ton per tick making you immortal plus it stays onfield after switching, she shreds the hell out of pyro shields and she's fantastic on taser teams since she can keep applying hydro the tasers never stop.
There is one Unique role you forgot to mention that she can fill that literally no other character can yet, even though she herself doesnt do the biggest damage, you said it yourself, its not neglectable and her being hydro and applying it permanently makes her able to use some of the best offield dps to amplify damage output. The role i'm trying to point out is, that she is the sole highest hp char that still does a reasonable amount of damage and can tank through hits in challenges with absurdly high damage where shield strength is even getting buffed into negatives (like the last event where you could get 8.000 points against the mechanical array with all the traps on the floor), we do not have such kind of content on a regular basis yet, but she is the only "damage dealer" that can survive such scenarios without losing out on alot of damage windows :) that is only relevant if such an enemy isn't being one cycled though, but it is worth considering
I think the word you're looking for is "Tank", and while there are other known tanks in the game like Zhongli, Noelle (these are the ones that came to my mind, I can agree that Kokomi might be the best tank, _if we take into consideration all the damage that ignores shields of course_
That's a great point. The only thing that I personally think is wrong here is that kokomi is easy to stun without shield, so whilst she isn't dodging, she still will be a bit handicapped
Qiqi is still a better tank and can be built for phys damage while still overhealing. Qiqi driving tazer is amazing. Kokomi is a new player character. She has her place but lets not overestimate her role. Shes a waifu first and foremost.
@@mastercc4509 qiqi heals based on atk, is very squishy and have long cooldowns, also has low hp pool, that doesn't considered as "Tank" In my opinion. Yeah qiqi taser indeed works nice, but she's not a great driver, when your driver gets one-shoted.
@@mastercc4509 not really, Qiqis hp pool is nowhere as high as Kokomi. As a result some enemies can actually oneshot qiqi before she can heal back the damage. Qiqi is atk scaling not hp scaling, so she won't be that tanky. This is particularly true in some events at max difficulty.
"when she was released the entire community was mocking her" I mean I loved her from the start and always found her useful, I know it's just an exaggeration but I think some people believed everyone hated her which wasn't true. Kokomi (along with Raiden) is one of the best characters I've ever pulled for in the game, even on release, and I've almost got every character now. She's just so useful and finds her way into a vast majority of my team comps too.
Yay! I absolutely love my Kokomi. Running her as a taser team driver is just way too fun. She's so comfy to use. I never have to worry about dying with her around.
i accidentally pulled her weapon when summoning for stringless copies. basically was forced to summon for her too. was very upset initially bc i had already started to save for hu tao constellations. can you imagine how satisfied i became with her after so that she was the first character who didn't leave my team immediately when hitting friendship lvl 10 (and i have 9 limited 5 stars characters). never regretted ever since.
I'm in the "Yes, I love my Kokomi demographic" Too bad she's re-running amidst so many hype characters. Zhongli, Ganyu, Raiden, Yae, Ayato, (maybe Kazuha/Ayaya/Yoimiya reruns?), I think she'll remain rare even though she is absolutely worthwhile
it's okay being rare imo, means that her satisfaction rate will always high. I'll roll for her on my f2p account since i got C1R1 ganyu and no mona. I already have her on my main account, so I'm aiming for Raiden Shogun's constellations.
Ive had Kokomi since her release and I unlike most people seen her potential and she is one of my fav chars plus her hydro application has no ICD and I have her Everlasting Moonglow which makes her awesome
The privilege of having a Portable Healing Spot while Exploring Inazuma is such an amazing quality of Life. I play her as a Healing Bot. with Lvl 1 Talent and she function amazingly. If you're building her as Main DPS. Give her as much Elemental Mastery as you could. That's her "Crit Rate."
My favorite team for Kokomi atm is with Kazuha, Fischl and Beidou. Just a nice easy taser team with her in the drivers seat. And it's even highly lore friendly since Kazuha and Beidou were on her side in the Vision Decree war :D
Kokomi actually has pretty great value, hydro apply, heals for those rifthounds, but there's already other characters who can do the stuff she does, so I guess that's why not a lot of people are interested, but I do think she's great for freeze comps if you want a more defensive pick than Mona who does offense
As a Kokomi main(intended) At first I just appreciate her DMG but now that the clam set is here I appreciate her so much more.and I don't fear abyss after having her since Bennet is the only builded healer on me before her and yeah:)))
Ah yes, the character I never wanted, but didn't realize I desperately needed. I got her TWICE on low pity trying to get Xingqiu & Beidou cons, winning 50-50 each time. Came to accept it since I suck at dodging anyway and therefore in constant need of a shielder/healer (also her C1 is great). Then the new artifact set rolled out and BOOM she's now a staple member of my team.
I want to see how long she's going to stay in top 10 abyss usage rate, with the anti shield mobs coming in 2.5, she's going to stay for another month. I don't see anyone replacing her until the hydro archon. As long as the abyss has a cryo/hydro side, wolves, pyro lector, anti-shield mobs etc., she's going to see top 10 usage rates.
I think healer characters get better value especially when the Hydro archon/Fontaine is released since it is speculated that the Hydro archon is a healer based on elemental resonance. I also think more and more DoT mechanics are going to be introduced in other regions as well. And yeah I agree, I think the Hydro archon is going to be the best healer in the game, probably similar to Kokomi but can crit and buff.
Also, based on leaks, The Golden Wolflord will be appearing in flr12 for ver. 2.5. So yeah, healing is a need for the upcoming abyss cycle. Thus, prolonging the usage rate of Kokominaj
imo, she will be reliable until fontaine. shield is great for very long run (since 1.1) but now mihoyo decided to focusing healer, i think sumeru will be healer meta kind of thing will happen
I pulled for kokomi in her first run and I've never once been disappointed in her. She gave a good damage and can basically tank every hit from any enemies that is out now. I have both zhongli and kokomi so now my abyss team never needs to dodge.
I was so angry when I got her (I just wanted a Beidou and Kokomi came instead) but then I started using her at level 20 and it was impressive so I leveled her till 80 and she´s my queen. 36k bubble and heals for 10k with level 6 talents??? come on. Incredible character.
I swear, I have no regrets that I pulled for Kokomi on her first run. I've always loved her solely for her design and her being a war freak. She's basically a walking statue of the seven, and always clutch heals me when I need it most. She's literally an OP healer (kind of like Bennett); mine can reach 5.6k per tick and this is with low investment.
at one point i build her as a pure healer and she can heal 9,5k points without any buff, her regular 4 ocean-hued clam let her heal for 8k per jellyfish tick lol

Despite of how long and informative this video be. Kokomi hater still hate her. Some comments here don't even get the point, like still comparing her to Barbara.
This has always been my thought on Kokomi. fantastic healer if you don't have jean, a decent hydro application unit if you dont have one, with a few other good uses.but she lacks in other area's most 5 stars offer, being DPS and Support. overall she is one of the characters i definitely recommend people think about before pulling. since the majority of genshin players are F2P, and need to save a large amount of primo gems to even get a 5 star banner character. That being said she is fantastic for people who can only afford one 5 star of their choice with her constellations being not needed and her signature weapon being worse then the options we already had.
Even if you have those things she is the only character who can give you permanent uptime on Hydro and the tenacity of the millelith buff making her pretty cracked in both perma freeze and Tazer. Needless to say she will be the best hydro period for Yae Miko unless Ayato is better off field application.
@@achilleanqueerace9963 That's kinda wrong though? F2Ps need less resin than dolphins. Ofc whales have more resin than people who don't refresh, but people who don't refresh and spend for characters have higher need for resin. As f2p you get less chars, meaning less need for talent levels, bosses and shit. You can spend resin for artifacts more than somebody who gets new char every banner and spends ~10 days worth of resin for every new char. So no, it doesn't matter as a f2p, if anything you would say non-whale. F2Ps should actually have better artifacts, the less chars the more artifacts. And there Kokomi loses, cuz since u have less chars, u don't have much that can use artifact sets that exist with Kokomi domains. Something like Raiden that uses emblem and when u farm her u farm for another 10 chars is more f2p friendly, Kokomi needing tenacity or clam is shit in resin efficiency term, because If you don't have Eula, Itto or Albedo then second sets are garbage.
@@alanway5 HP only... You can increase her healing output as well as her burst damage with healing bonus circlet. So usually if you want to go with full off-field support healer HP sands/HP Goblet/Healing bonus Circlet while driver Kokomi teams use Hydro bonus on goblet.

She was mocked at her release but I'm glad to see the community finally appreciating her! Also, you should totally try SuKokoMon, it requires skill but is very rewarding.
Great explanation of Kokomi with Ayaka. Personally glad we got an alternative freeze comp than Morgana. With ocean clam raising the damage a bit more, and being able to slot Shenhe. You could even level TTDS for the HP substat and buff for Ayaka, imo Kokomi is super reliable
@@ultimophantom8395 True, however you would slot in Diona for Nobless/Shield/Battery. XQ is single target, and is mandatory for Pyro or hypercarry main dps if you decide to slot Hu Tao, Yoimiya, or even Raiden.
The moment I saw Kokomi being able to consistently apply hydro with her E, and the fact that she can utilize both TToDS (or Hakushin / Amber) and ToTM, I knew she would be a strong utility char. I guess a lot of us were so hung up with the notion of "no crit = bad" and "healer = bad" and the fact that her ult was on-field healing and damaging (a lot confused her for a main DPS) that it was easy to overlook what made her so strong. Granted, I did come across other Kokomi lovers who defended her damage (it's not negligible, yes, but it's in no way "strong") and even compared her to the likes of Childe which probably made the misunderstanding of her character worse.
But onfield healing is bad tho, like I did not build her full on HP just to have her take up field time and do normal attack in order to heal my dps and sub dps lol
@@zqflute3676 It's not bad if you're doing other things alongside it. Kokomi shares a similar role to Childe where she's played on-field as an Hydro driver, if not being better than him in EC comps. Low downtime between rotations and able to fit a 4pc VV anemo into the comp. Useable for Xiangling vape comp too but not as consistent as Childe + she doesn't benefit as much from Bennett. Using her on-field during burst also allows her to cap 4pc Clam's healing, as normally she'd only fill it halfway with optimal build (2 ticks of E healing per bubble).
Kokomi was my first 5 star charcter and she helped my team alot cuz in the 2.2 main event my team struggled but kokomi helped by healing i dont regret pulling her at all :D
I never regretted pulling for her. She has always been a great addition to my teams. It’s definitely interesting seeing all those that cast shade on people who simply enjoyed using her in the beginning. Now a lot of them are eagerly anticipating her rerun.
I'm one of the players who literally started playing genshin when kokomi was on the banner and I pulled her(since I didn't know anything) and I've been unable to live without her till now xd
I struggle to find a team, meta or not, where Kokomi doesn't make sense. I use her all the time for heals, tanking, and a very fast reaction-driving burst.
@@f00shi46 one of friends literally using kokomi with hutao and thinking that kokomi is the one that helps him clear abyss floor 11 easily (he never get 9* in SA before despite being AR56 and having lots of 5* at lv 90...). I asked him what kind of comps he use . He said melt perma frost..lmao Turns out he's using xq and/or kokomi, then freeze the enemies with rosaria and then go unga bunga with hu tao. No wonder he only got 3* on f12
Kokomi is literally an immortal tank. She is definitely one of my favorite characters to play with. I'm still experimenting but currently have Kokomi with Raiden/Ganyu/Ayaka. I love that Kokomi can cover the hydro applicator and heal role, which would normally take up two different spaces for my preference of playing freeze teams.
I won 50/50 on kokomi and got donut halfway through pity and she's been helping me 36-starring the abyss since getting her. I honestly thought she was bad, boy was i wrong. She's still average, sure, but the community seriously undervalued her.
I don't really have much to say about Sukokomon as I only used that team to carry myself on Floor 12 back in 2.3, but the team is quite powerful, and I think it scales really well. The only tricky part is its technicality; the rotations are quite strict but if you manage to execute them decently you'll deal lots of damage.
I've tried it with lvl 61 sucrose 545 em, that team somehow deals so much damage in an aoe, single target damage is also really good. So imo sukokomon might be as strong as hu tao double geo, although the rotation is just almost impossible to do
One thing to note. On paper she's easy to build, but in practice if you're using her as a MIllileth bot you'll want to get plenty of Energy recharge on your stubstats. Possibly even running an energy recharge sands. Fortunately her healing is so high regardless, so you can get away with an HP% or even ATK% mainstat on the Goblet and Circlet if you need to. Just make sure you get enough energy recharge from substats. This is specific for ToTM support Kokomi with TTDS. You're going to want about 200% ER for that team so keep an eye on your substats. For DPS/Driver Kokomi she's much simpler to build. Run HP/Hydro/Healing Bonus with OHC and go to town. Since she's on field for that team, Prototype Amber becomes her best weapon and you don't need much ER for her either. 140ish is plenty there.
I have used Sukokomon on previous Spiral Rotations. You have to learn to dodge and learn to weave around all 4 Characters. Prototype Amber w/ Refinement or TTDS R5 is her best F2P Weapon and their Combo has a tight but rewarding window. Also Taser Team with Raiden and Beidou, while wonky, is actually duable with you have C2 Sara or even C1, which I have the latter. But if you wanna abuse the ever loving fishstick of OHC, go for Superconduct Kokomi with any Cryo Unit.
as someone who has kokomi and zhongli i can saftley say that if u have zhongli shield and kokomi burst up, it's just impossible to die no matter how hard u try in combat
Regardless of the comparison between her and mona, I think by having all released hydro character in your roster, it will be easier to formulate team comp so for anyone who don't have her yet and already have good dps, I say get her. Otherwise, get raiden.

Every since I got Kokomi I've never put Mona into my party. I absolutely love and adore the Divine Priestess. I wouldn't say she's a literal must have, but if you even have the slightest interest in her I say go ahead and pick her up during this rerun. She's absolutely beautiful and 100% worth it.
I've been using her since release, didn't have a healer so I pulled for her. She never left my main team, and once I "finished" a somewhat decent build, 42k hp, 68% + atk dmg and 6k per ticks heals feels really good to have on your team, she basically makes that you dont't need to avoid any dmg that wont knock back, since you're pretty much immortal with her on your team
Watch Mihoyo nerf healing in the future. Like, there will be enemies in the future that will give you status effect that instead of getting healed, it will damage you instead. Or maybe a leyline disorder like "If a character gets healed, they will receive 50% more damage, stacks up to 4x" or some bullshit like that.
@@victormoreau8472 in order for healers to become meta they would have to remove the timer from abyss. As long as it is a timed dps check, more damage and damage amplifying will always be more useful than healing. The healers that are used in meta comps aren't used because of their healing. It is the other aspects of their kits that give them a place in the meta. In Kokomi's case, her hydro application from her jellyfish is what makes her good for some meta comps.

for people that will want to build a dps kokomi from my experience using r1 lvl 80/80 weapons the list goes: dodoco tales with 2na 1ca skyward atlas proto amber and lastly thrilling tales which can give more dps to supports
I never regret pulling everlasting moonglow because I can use ER sands with flat and percentage HP sub stat. That’s why the rotation of my freeze team (Kokomi,Shenhe,Rosaria,Ayaka) is now smooth. The only thing that I don’t like on the stat of Everlasting Moonglow is I can’t use the charged attack of Kokomi cause the passive of Everlasting Moonglow will be wasted.
Overtime, kokomi's value did improve especially with the release of the clam set. But remember people that Raiden's banner will also be available on phase 2 and in my opinion Raiden is the best pick between those two. Also, there is Ayato who'll be coming next patch and a Hydro character as well so be careful with your primogems and choose wisely 🙌
I think there is also the situation of people who already have raiden ayaka and shenhe, could go for kokomi, and then in 2.6 suposely Kazuha is one of the rerrun characters, so they can build the team, getting kokomi would be getting one of the key pieces, and then if kazuha is rerruned in 2.6, there you go, you got the full team
yes I need to know what Ayato does as he is also another hydro character and if he exceeds Kokomi in hydro applications that's just another knock on pulling for Kokomi
Raiden for me isn't worth it more than kokomi , raiden only meta team at C0 is raiden national but people seems to forget that national teams where already meta before her , she is replaceable and in a stituation when you need CC kazuha and sucrose would be way better for damage VV shred and CC

My friend 36 my abyss and i was watching her do the thunder manifestation when it cast it's cage thunder dmg thing. She said fk it, what's the worst thing that can happen and placed her jellyfish down and just tanked the cage instead of running away. My jellyfish outhealed the cage easily and it's so fun to just see how much you can face tank with it!! i love my kokomi so much
Even after months of her release, people are still hating on her. She's got to be one of the most disliked characters for absolutely no reason along with Yoimiya. "She's bad, she's not a good healer and DPS" with the new set that's no longer true. She has an amazing craftable weapon that literally solves her ER problems while also having access to Thrilling tales which gives her more HP which means more healing aka DMG . Pairing her with Xingqiu works wonders because he acts like a battery and for the resonance (New set: more healing = more dmg). She has a pretty character design which fits well with my criteria. Plus she's also relevant now since Mhyo keeps adding enemies that either makes shields a disadvantage or just straight up ignore them. She was my first ever 5 star and thinking back, even though I had a trash build on her because I didn't understand anything about artifacts, she made the game so easy (except for when the enemies were hydro)
Never disliked her kit, but mhy did her dirty in the archon quest so it was off-putting for me lol. I hope they do her justice since she's almost confirmed to be a dragon soo yeah currently interested in other characters but I look forward to the next update because I play for lore and good writing.

I used Sukokomon for the past lunar phase (except floor 12) and it does really well despite having less than stellar artifacts for both Fischl and Xiangling. I built fischl as an electro off field dps but with tenacity for buffs and Xiangling with EoSF set for a bit more of that ER. My Kokomi is built for dmg with HP/Hydro Goblet/Heal Bonus and Prototype Amber tho I sometimes swap that with TToDS. All of them really work well together, esp with Sucrose’s high EM stat. The vapeload reactions really wreck mobs and do big single target damage. It’s like watching chaos explode and it’s really fun! Timing is a bit strict though, especially with Sucrose’s E with regards to swirling Gouba. Missing a beat can cost a bit of time, but I’m slowly learning how to adjust them better with positioning and energy management. Overall 1000/10 would recommend using in the abyss!
Kokomi is a luxury unit, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. She’s not BiS for anything, and her uses are very niche for niche teams. She heals, and has a comfortable on field hydro applicator. Is it nice to have? Sure. Is it needed? Nope. Would I rather have her on my account instead of Barbara? You bet. If you like value for your account, don’t pull her unless you have a team (Ayaka/Kazuha/etc..) planned out for her, because it’ll be a waste of 24k+ primogems.
I'd still recommend pulling for her because of how mihoyo is trying their best to hammer down on shield user these days. New enkanomiya enemies literally benefits from player having a shield up and there's no telling when mihoyo will stop.
I roll her for the aesthetic ofc. Then seeing ppl mocking here left and right end up didnt level her. But then new anti shield mob came, she became zhongli 2.0 for me. ☺️

Was Underrated in meta community (nowadays she's fine, like a solid 7.5-8/10). It is true that she's overrated by her simps especially when bringing Sukokomon (That team is great but hard to execute perfectly).

@@gericjohnm.olivar9563 I'd say Sukokomon is harder than Klee's charged attack jump cancel. The party swapping and buff tracking is just insane while Klee jump cancel you just need to jump after CA (the machine gun klee is harder though but doesn't really make a difference).
Yea but I'm a bit concerned about energy management, next and probably every future abyss may have a energy drain mechanism. You really need non-Q depending dps
Speaking as a kokomi user from my experience energy problems are rarely an issue especially since you don’t really need her burst unless you are running her as a dps as for the skill downtime without her burst it really only lasts for 3 seconds after the jellyfish expires until you can put another one down
you can use her with the Prototype Amber, it gives 41.3 HP% and with refinement 5 it generates 6 energy every 2s for 6s. It´s how I use her, with that and with Xinqiu i dont have energy management problems ^^
I love Sukokomon. It's on the stronger end of "national" variants (using the term pretty loosely but it's a xiangling vape comp so yeah) imo and even lets you use Bennett and Xingqiu on your other team.
I love how she opens up a slot for several different comps. Sometimes I use one thats a mix of raiden nat/sukokomon, and when using her in morgana variation you can instead bring a shenhe or rosaria and not always diona
I main Ayaka and pulled Kokomi on her first banner since I was in love with her character design and I'm so thankful I did! She is an absolute must-have on all my teams for her constant hydro application and amazing heals. Her damage is really nothing to scoff at either!! Glad to see her getting the appreciation she deserves
no matter how "bad" kokomi is, I will still use her for 2 reasons: 1) I enjoy playing sukokomon team, it is really fun 2) She's waifu and i love her cuteness

I am still coping with mona prototype amber in my freeze team. with frozen enemies should be ok and the healing is good enough to cover for corrosion. Only problem is against non freezeble enemies, in which i just swap around my team.
This is a great video, it tackles everything that people who doesn't have Kokomi should ponder on if ever they are considering getting her. For another team comp, the taser comp is also one of her best team comps. Yae or Fischl Ei (Sustain burst DPS) or Keqing (Quick burst DPS) Kokomi Sucrose or Kazuha depending on your need. I suggest if you have a well invested at least 800 EM C6 Sucrose, you should pick her over a C0 or C1 Kazuha. At around C2 Kazuha he will be the better choice.
It still baffles me how Kokomi was being sold as a NA damage DPS, but her main value actually comes from her E and the TTDS. That being said, her DPS playstyle with the clam set is extremely fun as well.
Thats because she was also designed to be a dps tank similar to Noelle, except with faster attack speed, so its more engaging. Paladin class characters will always have a place in games because a very self sufficient character that cover all bases always have people that prefers them. In fact, when Zhongli came out, people expected him to be a dps tank based on his trailer, but it turns out he is a tank support with very little field presence. Kokomi is the embodiment of what people initially expected Zhongli to be.
That's because mihoyo sucks at building character kit. I love kokomi, but tbh...her kit is a mess...just like diona. Still love both of them nonetheless And don't forget xiao, albedo, and many more characters with questionable talents, ascension stats, and constellations..
Kokomi is cute and that's really the only reason you should pull her. She's also useful in very specific freeze teams thanks to her 100% hydro application uptime, but not meta-defining by any means
@@lordenel9715 Fifth most used character but not fifth most owned as well. Virtually everyone has Zhongli by this point and everyone uses him in abyss too. Very few have Kokomi but those who do use her all the time, it's not surprising. I would define the likes of Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling meta-defining because despite being 4 stars and much easier to acquire, they are still used by most players when trying to beat the hardest content in the game
@@lordenel9715 I think we've thrown "meta" around so much that it lost it's substance. Meta should be reserved for literal game breakers or some character that completely revolutionized how team rotations should be, like bennett and kazuha.
been a sukokomon/mono geo itto main for a good while now.. and while it is tricky to get the perfect swirling and insane reaction explosion, you still get some decent damage out of making imperfect reaction explosions (like swirl taser or overvape) there's a thrill to unloading a lot of off-field damage that kinda makes it feel like a modified national team, but that's probably just me hahahahaa

I have Kokomi and dang, she really fill a lot of roles in your team, most notably being a Healer and a Tanker. She's like the Zhongli for Hydro.
"Tanker" is a weird thing to say a genshin character is good for. Like, yeah, if you don't have a shielder and she happens to be on-field when you get hit it's less of a big deal than other characters, but afaik no character even has a "taunt" that makes enemies focus on them yet, making the closest thing to an actual tank even in coop characters like Amber, Mona and Itto that can throw decoys that attract enemy attention (Ningguang used to be included in that with her jade screen eating aggro, but it was not an intended mechanic so she got nerfed).
Anyway one thing I don't think he mentioned in the video is that she's also one of the best taser drivers. Very niche but still fun. She's similar to Zhongli in that she both does many things for your team at once, AND can be built to do many DIFFERENT things (though her DPS potential is absolutely dwarfed by his, especially since he can fully benefit from Yun's ENORMOUS buff, while Kokomi's lack of damage multipliers from crit means she is literally the single worst user of Yun Jin in the entire game).
if her burst actually transfered then she would be better than bennit and zhongli combined, but sadly it doesn't so shes still worse than mona

Because you usually have only 1 on field at once. A taunt makes no sense to target the character, only other things like what Ganyu and Amber do.

@@Naokarma Early in the game's life there was a lot of consideration paid to coop, actually. Consider Zhongli's C2, which is almost (though not completely) useless in singleplayer, for example. More recently, there has been a subtle shift back toward coop-friendly characters; Consider for example that Yun and Shen buff all your coop partners (other driver-based characters mostly don't), and Kokomi's heal being aoe means it's the only off-field or automatic ability that can heal coop partners (eg in 2p coop). Also it's readily apparent you're not an Abyss player, because Abyss is one place where it would be incredibly useful to have a taunt (and it is useful to have decoys) due to the difficulty of "protect the monument" challenges there without some form of crowd control (freeze, petrification, anemo succ, or decoys, though by far the easiest to use would be a taunt).
I rolled for kokomi due to her aesthetics and never regretted it one bit. She is so much fun and an amazing healer in general

As someone who has played Sukokomon a lot I would say that it has its drawback like it being an overloaded team and Kokomi's jellyfish being immovable. The team is difficult to execute but with that said the team's DPS is so fucking high that even messing the rotations completely still results in a good clear. The fact that it is a non-Bennett team while giving such a high dps makes it an amazing team.
Sucrose and xiangling, two op 4*s, are in it so it's not that surprising. Still, sukokomon is an interesting team and i like how kokomi is able to open up new teams
Agreed, however something else to note that the swirl damage is highest when u have multiple enemies.
So for instance the floor with the 2 ruin guards (floor 12-3 first half), the team damage output is not bad, but ur only doing the swirl damage on two enemies.
However if you're in a floor with many enemies (Like floor 12-1 second half, or the previous spiral abyss floors with like 12 enemies) sukokomon ends up being insanely strong since ur swirl damage is being spread out into so many enemies, it's insane aoe.
The team is not bad in single target damage also, its just energy issues might be a problem so u got to invest more in energy recharge, and for single target damage they are way more better options.
its honestly crazy how you have to add that the team is "Non bennett". truly goes to show how much bennett has changed the game
However nope, that team's DPS is high because of perfect or very good rotations, messing up your rotation will decrease your dmg by around 80%
MHY could have made her a player base favorite if only her jellyfish followed you around, that simple part of her kit would have given her so much value but leave it to MHY to not realize something like that 🤦

When Kokomi was getting sharted on, I used her for some time in abyss. I was really surprised to see how well she does with just Fischl and Beidou for my super unkillable taser team. 100% burst uptime, hydro application for electro-charged, and surprisingly decent damage for a normal attack around 7k-10k. Not to mention unkillable, literally. At that time I was genuinely confused on what makes Kokomi so disliked when people barely tried her. Till this day I still use her in abyss and she does well!
Yes! I feel like the taser team was really missed out on in this video. I play Kokomi in a team with Fischl, Beidou and Kazuha and they usually clear their abyss half faster than my Hu Tao team (currently have 33 stars with these teams). This team is so easy to play, unkillable, can spam bursts all the time and has so much damage output, I love it. Would definitely recommend. But I should probably add that I have Beidou and Fischl on C6 and that both have 5* weapons (Skyward Pride and Thundering Pulse), which contribute a lot to their insane performance.

I think I was the same way too as someone who accidentally got her and then got her "bad" weapon within 5 pulls. Because of that, I thought that I may as well build this "bad" character for laughs, but didn't find her to be bad at all..

They should give us er% and passive should be normal and charged attacks should be buffed by 15% after using the buff. And maybe give hp% or healing bonus.
Kokomi tanks, deals good damage, heals, applies hydro well, looks and sounds good, and is over all just an amazing character.
i got kokomis c1, and she's actually very helpful. She can heal a lot, her jellyfish duration is really long(good for freeze teams), and she surprisingly does a LOT on her burst. I definitely reccomend her
U don't even need shield or her burst if u equip her with that book (forgot the name).. never lose DPS.. Ayaka and ganyu literally immortal

I have C1 Kokomi and she's been so good ever since, I had no Zhongli so when I got Kokomi i was really surprised how she's so good at what she does. Her healing makes everything so comfortable especially with corrosion. Her off-field hydro application is unrivaled. I know Healing is kind of not deemed that valuable but having that comfortability really changes everything. She's really a walking statue of the seven. Her dmg isn't not the best but she's good enough for a healer support that you can switch to when your dps is on downtime. If you like her and her design and kit, you should really pull for her ! but if you don't have other existing powerful characters, then you should probably look for other 5 stars since Kokomi is good for players who want the highest of the highs. If you're still struggling with your acc's power level then having Kokomi whose a healer/support for powerful characters isn't the first priority, you should get characters that she can support first before getting her
tysm !! I really want Kokomi, ayaka and kazuha but my current dps is hu tao ( which we all know doesn't really do well with healing ) so I will use my guarenteed on ayaka ( since I need a Cryo dps ) and leftover on kazuha... on kokomi's rerun I might pick her up haha

Since I got Ayaka I insteantly wanted Kokomi for her jelly fish even though I don't really like her design. The community shat on her but I always thought she is pretty strong for a healer so I never did understand their views of a character is bad if they don't do a billion damage.

Something to add: her normal attacks, even when not in burst, have an AMAZING "target-seeking" attribute, that allows her to even attack behind her if there's no enemies in front of her. It's awesome for not missing attacks and making her field time more worthwhile

One thing I like about her Kit is that her E duration can practically be unlimited if you know how to time it. She also has targeted ballistic fish missiles which complements her burst heals.

She's a good hydro applicator + can utilize 2 artis sets effectively (tenacity and ocean clam)..not to mention her thrilling tales and prototype amber utilization.. however, you need to make sure you understand her kit and jellyfish positioning...other than that, I'm immortal when she's in my team.. specially in the abyss..
what does her healing escalates with? to get the other 3 artifacts with main stats, hp? defense?

I think Kokomi is more like Zhongli. She's really goot at what she can do. People who utilize her would like her so much. But people who gameplay doesn't need healer that much or aoe hydro application would think she is trash.

Zhongli s difference will be the Interruption to resistance.. This is not something a lot of chars or comps want but also some do so when its for everywhere else where its not required u can have same results with koko
Yeah I agree. She’s probably the best healer in the game same as zhongli being the thickest shield in game. I think every player should have both of them just cuz of the quality of life they bring.
She's even better than Zhongli at some points. She's a great hydro applicator, which means she can enable alot more reactions compared to ZL. She heals, and can be a TTDS holder. They're so alike but also so different in their own respective areas.
@@seid_1068 yeah but shield brings a different type of quality of life improvement, in cases where healing can't be done fast enough during enemy's continuous attacks shield is the best option. For example, Azdaha, no healer heals fast enough for me to not get killed during its 4 continuous pounces move.
i cannot recommend pulling for kokomi unless your account already very comfortable DPS units. I personally pulled for koko because I thought it would be funny to have her when no one else does. She is a extremely comfortable unit to play with, and a massive utility boost kinda like zhongli, but better in some situations where shielding is less beneficial. Her hydro application is phenomenal and very consistent. if your account however is lacking a hydro applicator or a healer, kokomi is a incredible pull. 10/10, kokomi is great.
My main have kokomi but doesn't have a dps yet they do well against bosses
I'm still debating whether to pull for ayato or kokomi. I have 3 good dps's already but only 1 built hydro unit and healer and that's xinqiu and bennett. Do you think I should go for kokomi or go for ayato then just build my other 4* healers?
@@lumi4711 since you mentioned you have other healers, I think it's safe to say that you should go for ayato and wish for kokomi on her next rerun since both of them are hydro applier and ayato, if talking about big dmg, is better than kokomi but if you think you really need kokomi because of her overhealing (+ decent dmg while healing during burst) and her advantage in hydro application as a catalyst then go for kokomi
@@lumi4711 it depends on what you need, kokomi has much more reliable hydro application than ayato because his burst cost 80, and when you use his skill to gain energy, you need field time. tho ayato is more like a dps so he deals more damage than kokomi.
I didnt regret getting her at all i loved her design and everything, she carries me alot in everything as well infinite freeze, sub-dps with yunjin she can easy take a floor alone in the abyss
She definitely fairs better than Mona in terms of 100% freeze uptime in Morgana.

She's applies hydro non stop with no ICD on it so perma-freeze since I'm a Cryo main, her burst does good damage (way better than everyone thinks), she can tank like hell with her high health pool, her jellyfish can heal a ton per tick making you immortal plus it stays onfield after switching, she shreds the hell out of pyro shields and she's fantastic on taser teams since she can keep applying hydro the tasers never stop.
There is one Unique role you forgot to mention that she can fill that literally no other character can yet, even though she herself doesnt do the biggest damage, you said it yourself, its not neglectable and her being hydro and applying it permanently makes her able to use some of the best offield dps to amplify damage output.
The role i'm trying to point out is, that she is the sole highest hp char that still does a reasonable amount of damage and can tank through hits in challenges with absurdly high damage where shield strength is even getting buffed into negatives (like the last event where you could get 8.000 points against the mechanical array with all the traps on the floor), we do not have such kind of content on a regular basis yet, but she is the only "damage dealer" that can survive such scenarios without losing out on alot of damage windows :)
that is only relevant if such an enemy isn't being one cycled though, but it is worth considering
I think the word you're looking for is "Tank", and while there are other known tanks in the game like Zhongli, Noelle (these are the ones that came to my mind, I can agree that Kokomi might be the best tank, _if we take into consideration all the damage that ignores shields of course_
That's a great point. The only thing that I personally think is wrong here is that kokomi is easy to stun without shield, so whilst she isn't dodging, she still will be a bit handicapped
Qiqi is still a better tank and can be built for phys damage while still overhealing. Qiqi driving tazer is amazing. Kokomi is a new player character. She has her place but lets not overestimate her role. Shes a waifu first and foremost.
@@mastercc4509 qiqi heals based on atk, is very squishy and have long cooldowns, also has low hp pool, that doesn't considered as "Tank" In my opinion. Yeah qiqi taser indeed works nice, but she's not a great driver, when your driver gets one-shoted.
@@mastercc4509 not really, Qiqis hp pool is nowhere as high as Kokomi. As a result some enemies can actually oneshot qiqi before she can heal back the damage. Qiqi is atk scaling not hp scaling, so she won't be that tanky. This is particularly true in some events at max difficulty.

Kokomi (along with Raiden) is one of the best characters I've ever pulled for in the game, even on release, and I've almost got every character now. She's just so useful and finds her way into a vast majority of my team comps too.
Kokomi has so many uses on my teams with that 68% attack buff and allowing me to unga bunga that I love using her and have 0 regrets pulling for her
Yay! I absolutely love my Kokomi. Running her as a taser team driver is just way too fun. She's so comfy to use. I never have to worry about dying with her around.
i accidentally pulled her weapon when summoning for stringless copies. basically was forced to summon for her too. was very upset initially bc i had already started to save for hu tao constellations. can you imagine how satisfied i became with her after so that she was the first character who didn't leave my team immediately when hitting friendship lvl 10 (and i have 9 limited 5 stars characters). never regretted ever since.

Ive had Kokomi since her release and I unlike most people seen her potential and she is one of my fav chars plus her hydro application has no ICD and I have her Everlasting Moonglow which makes her awesome
The privilege of having a Portable Healing Spot while Exploring Inazuma is such an amazing quality of Life.
I play her as a Healing Bot. with Lvl 1 Talent and she function amazingly.
If you're building her as Main DPS. Give her as much Elemental Mastery as you could. That's her "Crit Rate."
My favorite team for Kokomi atm is with Kazuha, Fischl and Beidou. Just a nice easy taser team with her in the drivers seat. And it's even highly lore friendly since Kazuha and Beidou were on her side in the Vision Decree war :D
Kokomi actually has pretty great value, hydro apply, heals for those rifthounds, but there's already other characters who can do the stuff she does, so I guess that's why not a lot of people are interested, but I do think she's great for freeze comps if you want a more defensive pick than Mona who does offense

Ah yes, the character I never wanted, but didn't realize I desperately needed. I got her TWICE on low pity trying to get Xingqiu & Beidou cons, winning 50-50 each time. Came to accept it since I suck at dodging anyway and therefore in constant need of a shielder/healer (also her C1 is great). Then the new artifact set rolled out and BOOM she's now a staple member of my team.

I want to see how long she's going to stay in top 10 abyss usage rate, with the anti shield mobs coming in 2.5, she's going to stay for another month. I don't see anyone replacing her until the hydro archon. As long as the abyss has a cryo/hydro side, wolves, pyro lector, anti-shield mobs etc., she's going to see top 10 usage rates.
I think healer characters get better value especially when the Hydro archon/Fontaine is released since it is speculated that the Hydro archon is a healer based on elemental resonance. I also think more and more DoT mechanics are going to be introduced in other regions as well. And yeah I agree, I think the Hydro archon is going to be the best healer in the game, probably similar to Kokomi but can crit and buff.
Also, based on leaks, The Golden Wolflord will be appearing in flr12 for ver. 2.5. So yeah, healing is a need for the upcoming abyss cycle. Thus, prolonging the usage rate of Kokominaj

I pulled for kokomi in her first run and I've never once been disappointed in her. She gave a good damage and can basically tank every hit from any enemies that is out now. I have both zhongli and kokomi so now my abyss team never needs to dodge.
I was so angry when I got her (I just wanted a Beidou and Kokomi came instead) but then I started using her at level 20 and it was impressive so I leveled her till 80 and she´s my queen. 36k bubble and heals for 10k with level 6 talents??? come on. Incredible character.

Im genuinely happy that I got Kokomi, because I get to play Sukokomon. That team is hella fun to use
I swear, I have no regrets that I pulled for Kokomi on her first run. I've always loved her solely for her design and her being a war freak. She's basically a walking statue of the seven, and always clutch heals me when I need it most. She's literally an OP healer (kind of like Bennett); mine can reach 5.6k per tick and this is with low investment.
at one point i build her as a pure healer and she can heal 9,5k points without any buff, her regular 4 ocean-hued clam let her heal for 8k per jellyfish tick lol

This has always been my thought on Kokomi. fantastic healer if you don't have jean, a decent hydro application unit if you dont have one, with a few other good uses.but she lacks in other area's most 5 stars offer, being DPS and Support. overall she is one of the characters i definitely recommend people think about before pulling. since the majority of genshin players are F2P, and need to save a large amount of primo gems to even get a 5 star banner character. That being said she is fantastic for people who can only afford one 5 star of their choice with her constellations being not needed and her signature weapon being worse then the options we already had.
Even if you have those things she is the only character who can give you permanent uptime on Hydro and the tenacity of the millelith buff making her pretty cracked in both perma freeze and Tazer. Needless to say she will be the best hydro period for Yae Miko unless Ayato is better off field application.
Also as F2p we have to save our resin and with Koko, you don't have to farm artis for 3 months just to get decent stats.
@@achilleanqueerace9963 That's kinda wrong though? F2Ps need less resin than dolphins. Ofc whales have more resin than people who don't refresh, but people who don't refresh and spend for characters have higher need for resin. As f2p you get less chars, meaning less need for talent levels, bosses and shit. You can spend resin for artifacts more than somebody who gets new char every banner and spends ~10 days worth of resin for every new char. So no, it doesn't matter as a f2p, if anything you would say non-whale. F2Ps should actually have better artifacts, the less chars the more artifacts. And there Kokomi loses, cuz since u have less chars, u don't have much that can use artifact sets that exist with Kokomi domains. Something like Raiden that uses emblem and when u farm her u farm for another 10 chars is more f2p friendly, Kokomi needing tenacity or clam is shit in resin efficiency term, because If you don't have Eula, Itto or Albedo then second sets are garbage.

@@alanway5 HP only... You can increase her healing output as well as her burst damage with healing bonus circlet. So usually if you want to go with full off-field support healer HP sands/HP Goblet/Healing bonus Circlet while driver Kokomi teams use Hydro bonus on goblet.
My kokomi actually carries me in the damage department with pure life% hidro% and healing bonus I love her so much
I rely on electro charge kokomu and even if my 2 electros are copium build thats enough for abyss 12 :p

Great explanation of Kokomi with Ayaka. Personally glad we got an alternative freeze comp than Morgana. With ocean clam raising the damage a bit more, and being able to slot Shenhe.
You could even level TTDS for the HP substat and buff for Ayaka, imo Kokomi is super reliable

@@ultimophantom8395 True, however you would slot in Diona for Nobless/Shield/Battery. XQ is single target, and is mandatory for Pyro or hypercarry main dps if you decide to slot Hu Tao, Yoimiya, or even Raiden.
The moment I saw Kokomi being able to consistently apply hydro with her E, and the fact that she can utilize both TToDS (or Hakushin / Amber) and ToTM, I knew she would be a strong utility char. I guess a lot of us were so hung up with the notion of "no crit = bad" and "healer = bad" and the fact that her ult was on-field healing and damaging (a lot confused her for a main DPS) that it was easy to overlook what made her so strong. Granted, I did come across other Kokomi lovers who defended her damage (it's not negligible, yes, but it's in no way "strong") and even compared her to the likes of Childe which probably made the misunderstanding of her character worse.
But onfield healing is bad tho, like I did not build her full on HP just to have her take up field time and do normal attack in order to heal my dps and sub dps lol
@@zqflute3676 It's not bad if you're doing other things alongside it. Kokomi shares a similar role to Childe where she's played on-field as an Hydro driver, if not being better than him in EC comps. Low downtime between rotations and able to fit a 4pc VV anemo into the comp. Useable for Xiangling vape comp too but not as consistent as Childe + she doesn't benefit as much from Bennett.
Using her on-field during burst also allows her to cap 4pc Clam's healing, as normally she'd only fill it halfway with optimal build (2 ticks of E healing per bubble).
When you have both zhongli and kokomi genshin turns into creative mode

Kokomi was my first 5 star charcter and she helped my team alot cuz in the 2.2 main event my team struggled but kokomi helped by healing i dont regret pulling her at all :D
I never regretted pulling for her. She has always been a great addition to my teams. It’s definitely interesting seeing all those that cast shade on people who simply enjoyed using her in the beginning. Now a lot of them are eagerly anticipating her rerun.
I'm one of the players who literally started playing genshin when kokomi was on the banner and I pulled her(since I didn't know anything) and I've been unable to live without her till now xd
I struggle to find a team, meta or not, where Kokomi doesn't make sense. I use her all the time for heals, tanking, and a very fast reaction-driving burst.

Kokomi is literally an immortal tank. She is definitely one of my favorite characters to play with. I'm still experimenting but currently have Kokomi with Raiden/Ganyu/Ayaka. I love that Kokomi can cover the hydro applicator and heal role, which would normally take up two different spaces for my preference of playing freeze teams.

I won 50/50 on kokomi and got donut halfway through pity and she's been helping me 36-starring the abyss since getting her. I honestly thought she was bad, boy was i wrong. She's still average, sure, but the community seriously undervalued her.

I don't really have much to say about Sukokomon as I only used that team to carry myself on Floor 12 back in 2.3, but the team is quite powerful, and I think it scales really well. The only tricky part is its technicality; the rotations are quite strict but if you manage to execute them decently you'll deal lots of damage.
I've tried it with lvl 61 sucrose 545 em, that team somehow deals so much damage in an aoe, single target damage is also really good. So imo sukokomon might be as strong as hu tao double geo, although the rotation is just almost impossible to do
One thing to note. On paper she's easy to build, but in practice if you're using her as a MIllileth bot you'll want to get plenty of Energy recharge on your stubstats. Possibly even running an energy recharge sands. Fortunately her healing is so high regardless, so you can get away with an HP% or even ATK% mainstat on the Goblet and Circlet if you need to. Just make sure you get enough energy recharge from substats. This is specific for ToTM support Kokomi with TTDS. You're going to want about 200% ER for that team so keep an eye on your substats.
For DPS/Driver Kokomi she's much simpler to build. Run HP/Hydro/Healing Bonus with OHC and go to town. Since she's on field for that team, Prototype Amber becomes her best weapon and you don't need much ER for her either. 140ish is plenty there.
I have used Sukokomon on previous Spiral Rotations. You have to learn to dodge and learn to weave around all 4 Characters. Prototype Amber w/ Refinement or TTDS R5 is her best F2P Weapon and their Combo has a tight but rewarding window.
Also Taser Team with Raiden and Beidou, while wonky, is actually duable with you have C2 Sara or even C1, which I have the latter.
But if you wanna abuse the ever loving fishstick of OHC, go for Superconduct Kokomi with any Cryo Unit.

as someone who has kokomi and zhongli i can saftley say that if u have zhongli shield and kokomi burst up, it's just impossible to die no matter how hard u try in combat
I love Kokomi, she is on my batman team which involve Diluc, Xiangling Kokomi and Xingqui and their team for me was amazingly awesome.
Regardless of the comparison between her and mona, I think by having all released hydro character in your roster, it will be easier to formulate team comp so for anyone who don't have her yet and already have good dps, I say get her. Otherwise, get raiden.

I've been using her since release, didn't have a healer so I pulled for her.
She never left my main team, and once I "finished" a somewhat decent build, 42k hp, 68% + atk dmg and 6k per ticks heals feels really good to have on your team, she basically makes that you dont't need to avoid any dmg that wont knock back, since you're pretty much immortal with her on your team
Wait wym 68% atk dmg? Also 6k ticks felt like if one put a non-hp% weapon on her
Watch Mihoyo nerf healing in the future. Like, there will be enemies in the future that will give you status effect that instead of getting healed, it will damage you instead. Or maybe a leyline disorder like "If a character gets healed, they will receive 50% more damage, stacks up to 4x" or some bullshit like that.

As long as it is a timed dps check, more damage and damage amplifying will always be more useful than healing. The healers that are used in meta comps aren't used because of their healing. It is the other aspects of their kits that give them a place in the meta. In Kokomi's case, her hydro application from her jellyfish is what makes her good for some meta comps.

I never regret pulling everlasting moonglow because I can use ER sands with flat and percentage HP sub stat. That’s why the rotation of my freeze team (Kokomi,Shenhe,Rosaria,Ayaka) is now smooth. The only thing that I don’t like on the stat of Everlasting Moonglow is I can’t use the charged attack of Kokomi cause the passive of Everlasting Moonglow will be wasted.

Overtime, kokomi's value did improve especially with the release of the clam set. But remember people that Raiden's banner will also be available on phase 2 and in my opinion Raiden is the best pick between those two. Also, there is Ayato who'll be coming next patch and a Hydro character as well so be careful with your primogems and choose wisely 🙌
I think there is also the situation of people who already have raiden ayaka and shenhe, could go for kokomi, and then in 2.6 suposely Kazuha is one of the rerrun characters, so they can build the team, getting kokomi would be getting one of the key pieces, and then if kazuha is rerruned in 2.6, there you go, you got the full team
yes I need to know what Ayato does as he is also another hydro character and if he exceeds Kokomi in hydro applications that's just another knock on pulling for Kokomi
Raiden for me isn't worth it more than kokomi , raiden only meta team at C0 is raiden national but people seems to forget that national teams where already meta before her , she is replaceable and in a stituation when you need CC kazuha and sucrose would be way better for damage VV shred and CC

But I recently tried raiden national and I was blown away by how powerful it is, I never understood Raiden and that's really stupid of me. My friend 36 my abyss and i was watching her do the thunder manifestation when it cast it's cage thunder dmg thing. She said fk it, what's the worst thing that can happen and placed her jellyfish down and just tanked the cage instead of running away. She is the reason my taser team even exist. I'm so glad I decided to pull her.
Even after months of her release, people are still hating on her. She's got to be one of the most disliked characters for absolutely no reason along with Yoimiya.
"She's bad, she's not a good healer and DPS" with the new set that's no longer true. She has an amazing craftable weapon that literally solves her ER problems while also having access to Thrilling tales which gives her more HP which means more healing aka DMG . Pairing her with Xingqiu works wonders because he acts like a battery and for the resonance (New set: more healing = more dmg). She has a pretty character design which fits well with my criteria. Plus she's also relevant now since Mhyo keeps adding enemies that either makes shields a disadvantage or just straight up ignore them.
She was my first ever 5 star and thinking back, even though I had a trash build on her because I didn't understand anything about artifacts, she made the game so easy (except for when the enemies were hydro)
Never disliked her kit, but mhy did her dirty in the archon quest so it was off-putting for me lol. I hope they do her justice since she's almost confirmed to be a dragon soo yeah currently interested in other characters but I look forward to the next update because I play for lore and good writing.
@@f4llenleaves I completely agree. Her whole personality is basically being a strategist and when she isn't working she reads and sleeps. I wish they did more with her Story quest because it was literally like Jean's story. Overworked girl tries to rest but can't because ~responsibilites~

I used Sukokomon for the past lunar phase (except floor 12) and it does really well despite having less than stellar artifacts for both Fischl and Xiangling. I built fischl as an electro off field dps but with tenacity for buffs and Xiangling with EoSF set for a bit more of that ER. My Kokomi is built for dmg with HP/Hydro Goblet/Heal Bonus and Prototype Amber tho I sometimes swap that with TToDS. All of them really work well together, esp with Sucrose’s high EM stat. The vapeload reactions really wreck mobs and do big single target damage. It’s like watching chaos explode and it’s really fun! Timing is a bit strict though, especially with Sucrose’s E with regards to swirling Gouba. Missing a beat can cost a bit of time, but I’m slowly learning how to adjust them better with positioning and energy management. Overall 1000/10 would recommend using in the abyss!
Kokomi is a luxury unit, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. She’s not BiS for anything, and her uses are very niche for niche teams. She heals, and has a comfortable on field hydro applicator. Is it nice to have? Sure. Is it needed? Nope. Would I rather have her on my account instead of Barbara? You bet.
If you like value for your account, don’t pull her unless you have a team (Ayaka/Kazuha/etc..) planned out for her, because it’ll be a waste of 24k+ primogems.
I'd still recommend pulling for her because of how mihoyo is trying their best to hammer down on shield user these days. New enkanomiya enemies literally benefits from player having a shield up and there's no telling when mihoyo will stop.
I roll her for the aesthetic ofc. Then seeing ppl mocking here left and right end up didnt level her. But then new anti shield mob came, she became zhongli 2.0 for me. ☺️

Was Underrated in meta community (nowadays she's fine, like a solid 7.5-8/10). It is true that she's overrated by her simps especially when bringing Sukokomon (That team is great but hard to execute perfectly).
@@karashuun1083 at least doable compared to Klee's charged attack patterns. Even though I'm still skipping her because for C0 Yae and C2 Raiden for my account, she's great as a comfort character like Zhongli.
@@gericjohnm.olivar9563 I'd say Sukokomon is harder than Klee's charged attack jump cancel. The party swapping and buff tracking is just insane while Klee jump cancel you just need to jump after CA (the machine gun klee is harder though but doesn't really make a difference).

Speaking as a kokomi user from my experience energy problems are rarely an issue especially since you don’t really need her burst unless you are running her as a dps as for the skill downtime without her burst it really only lasts for 3 seconds after the jellyfish expires until you can put another one down
you can use her with the Prototype Amber, it gives 41.3 HP% and with refinement 5 it generates 6 energy every 2s for 6s. It´s how I use her, with that and with Xinqiu i dont have energy management problems ^^
Run her with Xingqiu I guess. Lots of Hydro particles
My artifacts consist of HP sands and goblet and healing circlet as main stats
Substats ER>Attack %> Flat HP> EM
I love Sukokomon. It's on the stronger end of "national" variants (using the term pretty loosely but it's a xiangling vape comp so yeah) imo and even lets you use Bennett and Xingqiu on your other team.
I love how she opens up a slot for several different comps. Sometimes I use one thats a mix of raiden nat/sukokomon, and when using her in morgana variation you can instead bring a shenhe or rosaria and not always diona
I main Ayaka and pulled Kokomi on her first banner since I was in love with her character design and I'm so thankful I did! She is an absolute must-have on all my teams for her constant hydro application and amazing heals. Her damage is really nothing to scoff at either!! Glad to see her getting the appreciation she deserves

1) I enjoy playing sukokomon team, it is really fun

I am still coping with mona prototype amber in my freeze team. with frozen enemies should be ok and the healing is good enough to cover for corrosion. Only problem is against non freezeble enemies, in which i just swap around my team.

This is a great video, it tackles everything that people who doesn't have Kokomi should ponder on if ever they are considering getting her.
For another team comp, the taser comp is also one of her best team comps.

I suggest if you have a well invested at least 800 EM C6 Sucrose, you should pick her over a C0 or C1 Kazuha. At around C2 Kazuha he will be the better choice.
It still baffles me how Kokomi was being sold as a NA damage DPS, but her main value actually comes from her E and the TTDS. That being said, her DPS playstyle with the clam set is extremely fun as well.
Thats because she was also designed to be a dps tank similar to Noelle, except with faster attack speed, so its more engaging. Paladin class characters will always have a place in games because a very self sufficient character that cover all bases always have people that prefers them. In fact, when Zhongli came out, people expected him to be a dps tank based on his trailer, but it turns out he is a tank support with very little field presence. Kokomi is the embodiment of what people initially expected Zhongli to be.
That's because mihoyo sucks at building character kit. I love kokomi, but tbh...her kit is a mess...just like diona. Still love both of them nonetheless
And don't forget xiao, albedo, and many more characters with questionable talents, ascension stats, and constellations..

Kokomi has never left my team every since I pulled her! She's a great unit!
Kokomi is cute and that's really the only reason you should pull her. She's also useful in very specific freeze teams thanks to her 100% hydro application uptime, but not meta-defining by any means

@@lordenel9715 Fifth most used character but not fifth most owned as well. Virtually everyone has Zhongli by this point and everyone uses him in abyss too. Very few have Kokomi but those who do use her all the time, it's not surprising. I would define the likes of Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling meta-defining because despite being 4 stars and much easier to acquire, they are still used by most players when trying to beat the hardest content in the game

@@lordenel9715 I think we've thrown "meta" around so much that it lost it's substance. Meta should be reserved for literal game breakers or some character that completely revolutionized how team rotations should be, like bennett and kazuha.
been a sukokomon/mono geo itto main for a good while now.. and while it is tricky to get the perfect swirling and insane reaction explosion, you still get some decent damage out of making imperfect reaction explosions (like swirl taser or overvape) there's a thrill to unloading a lot of off-field damage that kinda makes it feel like a modified national team, but that's probably just me hahahahaa
