if you put 2pc blood 2pc pale on xinyan the physical damage would be even better since she can't proc 4pc pale due to her long second skill cooldown. amazing stuff though
@@zarker1490 C2 gives her a level 3 shield after her burst, which pulses and procs the 4 piece effect.
personally single target will never be dehya's speciality. I also think that burgeon or a sub dps roll make more sense to go that route IMO. I willing to say dehya will never be top tier, but mono pyro is just bad since the other reactions do well with em builds with low investment, also single target enemies put her at a distinct disadvantage to have her onfield for a long time. Personally it makes more since for someone like the wanderer, xiao, or Hu Tao to be the on field unit to maximize their dmg through lost hp by using the hyper armor through their dps window and rotate in dehya than the on field.
I would like to see you try the team I built using the burgeon method despite it being dolphin team I used. Nahida c0, kokomi c1, ayato c0, and dehya c1 in a burgeon set up can easily clear floor 12. Now for the melt setup I build for her was actually Rosaria, kazuha, yao yao and dehya to get a reverse melt going as Rosaria as a driver
@@longsuffer I think I saw something about how Dehya’s E field doesn’t extend upwards so Wanderer actually can’t use her super armor when he’s flying. Xiao can also get knocked out of the air for the same reason.

@@monsieurmikay problem with her is that she need two different characters as 1 buff namely superconduct. Eula and Razor doesn't have that problem. Plus she was the start of mixed scaling characters scaling with both atk and def.

Physical characters have a tendency to be a Victim of Hoyoverse's design where characters need to be a certain element to be a main physical DPS (which is just... Stupid). But she's a good Phys Sub DPS.
off-topic though, this reply section gave me a great idea for the 8th "element". Why not just release characters that don't have visions that specialize in Physical DPS.

Diluc's constellations aren't massive boosts to his damage. It's pretty marginal but when compared to Dehya, even that's too much, so I can see why he would need to be omitted. XD
Diluc does more pure damage without reactions, so he would destroy dehya solo, as alhaitham is an em focused character. Meanwhile, with a team, there isn’t even a contest, because at least diluc can drive xingqiu.

Fun fact from Xinyan mains. When you build her for her c6 with Def build, if you do her charge attack and immediately burst out of it, she keeps the atk buff long enough for it to affect her burst. So def build can actually function as well as her atk one.

Except Alhiethem also didn't perform that well was even beaten by Xinyan in some cases. In fact he only had 1 impressive win, the rest were losses or a win by only a few seconds.

nothing will ever feel good about qiqi especially after getting C1 and up atleast Dehya C6 becomes mid as for qiqi her C6 doesn't do shit and i am so unlucky i got her to C4 before any other standard banner character

@@betomsd1 dehya ruins elemental reaction teams and offers no defensive utility besides her trash redirection, not to mention her absolute garbage damage. qiqi can be driver for taser, hyperbloom(hyperfridge), can fulfill the role of healer in any team, and enables cryo resonance. i hate qiqi with all my heart, but dehya is just a pile of dogshit and qiqi still wins...
So Xinyan has a lower energy cost than Deyha and actually gives a shield instead of “I‘ll take the dmg for ya”

Xinyan's shield is next to worthless though.
Xinyan's main and probably only real issue is her split scaling. However, you can build her fully into DEF for shields or fully into ATK for damage. Whereas with Dehya even that is not possible because both her skill and burst damage is split scaled. And that's on top of her energy issues, low multipliers, etc. etc.
Tip for triple Kenkis: If you use Kazuha’s skill right at the start of the battle, or if you run to the left side of the map, the cryo one will not dash.

His diluc is c6 so the results would be really skewed

i think yall forgot that iwtl uses the power of math to balance his c6 charas. he's done c6 vs c0 charas a few times before, he just weakened the c6 chara by using worse artifacts n stuff

Funny reading all the comments surprised that Xinyan is actually an ok character because they never bothered to see it for themselves and only listened to theorycrafters and haters.
Xinyan is bad thought. Sure, if you put her with kazuha XL bennet her teams feel good. But she also has practically 0 contribution, replace her with good unit - I mean... Klee isn't even a good unit but besides the point, and you will get a much better time.

With C6 Xinyan, you can get more damage out of her burst by dash cancelling out of a charged attack after hitting with her skill. C6 works differently than it's worded. While she's charged attacking, her attack is buffed by 50% of her defense, and that lingers just long enough that you can hit with her burst with a dash cancel.
What I got from this video is that should physical ever get the supports it needs, Xinyan's gonna be absolutely insane!
That support is Mika.... at c6. The 3.5 livestream revealed his kit but his kit was already fully revealed during beta. He actually gives nothing for Eula. She won't recieve his buff because of how long her burst wind-up is. For Physical Fischl/Xinyan he'll be good. At c0 he's Okayage but at c6 he's decent (his c6 increases Physical crit damage by 50). I'm convinced that he is designed for futute Physical characters since he doesn't even work with Eula the only 5 star Physical dps and even at c6 would still be worse than rosaria or diona due to energy. Physical Fischl is actually really run to play all things considered and much better than Xinyan due to bows not having hit lag and her being an actual good element for Physical.
Note in this video that Physical Xinyan team has awful energy regeneration and a c2 5 five that cost upwards to 200+ pulls. She is getting hyper buff by her teammates and the average f2p to Welkin player will not be able to reach those numbers. It can do 300k damage every 2 minutes. That may sound like a lot until you realize floor 12 has millions of hp and you have to clear within an reasonable 90 seconds on each side. If you do the math with the team in the video it won't be having an great time and you will struggle.
I pulled for Dehya fully knowing how crap she was and made her 'functional' in a hypercarry team with Mona, and Bennett. But they must have 300 er and she must have 200. People focus too much on attack and crit and never focus on ER which is the most important thing imo and then are surprised when the team feels crap to play not to mention not researching enough.
Edit: My hopium for Physical is that it will get its time to shine in Fontaine (4.0) or Snezhnaya (6.0). I personally look at leaks and I'll respect the people who don't won't any spoilers aside for elements of future 4.0 characters with no other details.
Although there is no details or confirmations within the community it does seem like a lot more cryo and electro characters are coming based off of the designs. 2.0 brought meta as a whole as the game mechanics came common knowledge. 3.0 flipped the Vaporize, Freeze, Taser meta on it's side with dendro making EM extremely valuable and making it easy to get high damage fast. 4.0 might introduce shields that may only to able to be cracked via Brute force or introduce enemies that can you shot you. I honestly have no clue what 4.0 holds meta wise and it probably won't reveal itself until 3.7/8 but I'm excited after the back to back dendro characters.

Support or not isn't the only matter, what also matters is the enemy. Maybe in the future we'll have more mobs or bosses that have low phy res and really high every elemental res. That way, physical dps will shine.
Or maybe, just maybe an artifact set that reduce physical res since dendro got deepwood while the element itself is absurdly strong :copium:

Little tip for all my spin to win friends (or just anyone who uses charged attacks with claymores), if you open the map once you’ve started spinning, you won’t stop until you run out of stamina

This video, while perfectly highlighting the issues with Dehya's kit (literally losing to Xinyan in Pyro damage, despite the latter not even being made for that), managed to surprise me a lot more than I first expected. I definitely did not expect Physical Xinyan to be so good, and now that we know that we are getting what's basically a Physical Sara for Physical characters, she could actually see a comeback, and a really good one...
I'm now looking forward to Mika's release, and his impact on Physical characters.

Xinyan doesn't need the superconduct just give her Zhongli and Gorou. Both Zhon and Xin shred phys resist while Xin buffs phys damage, giving a similar effect. Gor adds Def which benefits Xin's kit and Redhorns passive. Though, since your bennet is C6, you'll have to use someone else to buff her burst damage. Could probably go with Mona or Sara, but then there's no one to give particles to Xin, unless you go full favonious team

Wouldn't another character be better to compare Xinyan and Dehya to than Alhaitham? I would honestly go for someone like Diluc since there were already people comparing him with Dehya (both of them being on the standard banner). Alhaitham raw damage is not his strength, as you said, since dendro needs to work with reactions. Diluc would be another pyro DPS who would use the same supports instead of going for a different team.
Maybe if you don't have C0 Diluc (because I don't think you do tbh), someone could let you borrow their account for the showdown?
probably he tried, but his friends might have constellations already since Diluc has been around for 2 years already. most accounts playing since 1.0 probably have constellations and WGS with refinement

I think it's useful to include a meta team, like Alhaitham's, so that we can see a direct comparison between optimal and not-so-optimal. That said, I would've liked to have seen Diluc included in these runs, too.

@@uncaringbear thing is.. this al is not being used to the best of his ability. Throw him on a nilou team and everything would die. Aggravate kazuha if he REALLY wanted to would be better. Or just any other variations. Plus he's not using their best weapons just to 'keep it fair' when someone like dehya NEEDS her claymore to have any kind of chance.
Even then though alhaitham is still the stronger of the two just because of how cracked dendro really is. On top of being MUCH more flexible for teams unlike dehya who NEEDS c6r5, c6 kazuha, c6 mona, c6 bennett.

Probably because there will eventually be a character that will have a similarish damage over time mechanic and a 50 percent or whatever it was boost to skill and burst damage is kinda insane
It was not made for her, but for future characters. No way they will make a dedicated artifacts for standard banner units. Her bis is still emblem set.

@@backpackpepelon3867 have you read what the artifact set does? When the character takes dmg ( even outfield) their elemental skill and burst are buffed by 10% (50% max) . Also it buffs hp by 20%

I’m pretty sure Bennett kazuha xiangling with dps Bennett build sacrificing all em due to bennett’s massive energy generation would actually win compared to dehya/xinyan, and almost definitely if an anemo character is brought to activate anemo resonance without doing anything.

Personally, though, I'd have liked to see Kokomi, as I think she is the character that, design intent-wise, has the most in common with Dehya. So then you have a defensive, off-field elemental applicator who plays at being DPS during their burst with something to limit their ceiling potential on one side, and the female pyro claymore user on the other... the two characters with the most in common.
It's to compare them against the latest meta comp and how close their power is to the meta comp. There's no point in not doing that.

Both of those are, relatively silly with obvious answers. Now if the title or thumbnail was called "Dps Comparison" like wat you are saying it your comment, then the whole concept of the video would make wayyyy more sense, and i would definitely be intrigued in a video "comparing" dps, rather than a "showdown"

I think the gap would widen between Al Haitian and the others in the first abyss half not just because of chamber 3 but also hyperbloom would gain much more value in general

I love these videos. The commentary is pure gold. I’ve moved on from this game and into a leauge addiction but I still watch these videos just to get a feel from the game.
Seeing the full team comparisons, I can't help but think that the relatively small differences in the time margins shouldn't be understated. I'm also impressed by Xinyan's overall performance, particularly her physical. Perhaps a day will come when Mihoyo does justice for physical (and geo).

Little tipp for physical xinyan. Do a short charge attack before the burst to get the defense conversion to attack so it buffs her high physical dmg multiplier of the burst

This was hard to watch. It’s always the characters I love that get the worst kits, then the complete opposite for the characters I have no interest in, Although I must say I’m really proud of my girl Xinyan for holding on as much as she could against Alhaitham
I know your feels, when i start play this game i saw xinyan and was like " Omggg What a beautiful and coollll character, i want her só muchh " then i discorvered she is one of the most weak characters, and now comes Dehya...and yeah...we all see how Dehya was release ;/ thats painfull

just thought i'd let you know in case it comes up again, with claymore characters you can start charge attacking then press b to open menu, then esc to close it while still holding m1 and this will allow you to charge attack for your entire stamina wheel

Not sure if you ever thought about it, but I think it's a cool idea to make a patreon where you'd do "bonus comparisons" or something. For example, I think there are people that would love to see a bonus comparison with C1 Dehya. Make it so that lower tiers could only watch, and higher tiers could even request or vote for comparisons/tests. What do you think?

I main Xinyan in my early days on GI love her design & now i got Dehya c1 w/ bis, yea shes bad but decent not really recommend to use on abyss tho. I just really love her character so cool!
