Rather simple, Russia's air dominance is not a thing, at least not in regular sense of the term. Sure Russia can far more efficiently and more often use it's air force for airstrikes in contrast to Ukrainians, said airstrikes are basically artillery fire missions rather than live coverage of specific area. AA defensives on both sides prevent each other from keep aircraft over front which would allow for direct interdictions of supply lines and theirs' destructions. With drones meanwhile, Ukrainians often simply rush quickly supply cars during which are swift enough that in most cases before FPV drones arrive, cars are already driving back.

@@WeebUnionWUrussia is making nearly 3 million shells a year now. They use more in a week then nato produces in a month. Ukraine will not meet what the russians are firing. Nato doesnt have enough for itself much less for ukraine. Usa hopes to get production to 30k shells a month in a couple years.
A shell plant in the usa and uk were sabotaged by fire. Best case ukraine will get enough shells to fire how they want for a month maybe. They seem to be losing artillery systems at fast rate.
Now 90% of ukrainian casualties are caused by Russian FPV drones. This was admitted by Ukrainian soldiers in Chasoy Yar. Russia 1 year ago barely had FPV drones, now they're making thousands per day. + Russia increased Krasnopol guided shell production significantly. So even if Russia doesn't fire more shells now than at the beginning, they're surely have more guided shells.

I understand that these locations are not really Villages but actual fortresses which makes and advance slow and deliberate. But i still do not understands why with Russia's air dominance they cannot cut the rear supply lines to these fortress villages in order to weaken them. There can only be a couple of key communication lines and I would have thought the Russians would be able to use drones and strike aircraft to stop supplies moving through them I doubt the Ukrainians have enough forward delivered supplies for these fortresses to last more than a week or two if cut off from re-supply from the rear
They only have so many planes and drones and they use them for other operations. Camping a drone out for hours on end just hoping a supply truck is sent is a waste of critical resources that could be used elsewhere.
Welcome to the digital warfare
Alot of them have large under ground structures, so i imagine small arms and food stocks are more like half a year plus, Russians don't wanna send troops in until they know its indefensible.
Apparently not that easy.
