This is the most optimistic report on Ukraine’s situation from a more neutral source I’ve heard in long time. What is also disturbing here also is Ukraine expending the Ukrainian soldiers from the historically Russian areas of Ukraine while preserving the Western Ukrainians for best equipment and training. This is clearly suggesting Ukraine is possibly ethnically cleansing their country of citizens who might someday change sides and loyalty. This coup government since 2014 has been about neutralizing anyone possibly pro-Russian in Ukraine

But i still do not understands why with Russia's air dominance they cannot cut the rear supply lines to these fortress villages in order to weaken them. There can only be a couple of key communication lines and I would have thought the Russians would be able to use drones and strike aircraft to stop supplies moving through them I doubt the Ukrainians have enough forward delivered supplies for these fortresses to last more than a week or two if cut off from re-supply from the rear

    • @ReichLife

Rather simple, Russia's air dominance is not a thing, at least not in regular sense of the term. Sure Russia can far more efficiently and more often use it's air force for airstrikes in contrast to Ukrainians, said airstrikes are basically artillery fire missions rather than live coverage of specific area. AA defensives on both sides prevent each other from keep aircraft over front which would allow for direct interdictions of supply lines and theirs' destructions.
With drones meanwhile, Ukrainians often simply rush quickly supply cars during which are swift enough that in most cases before FPV drones arrive, cars are already driving back.

Thats what i was afraid. Somehow the Russians always take to long to take advantage of particular breaks in the UA front. Ukrainians plug it and it's all over again. I realy wonder if the Russian army could really withstand fully equipped and trained UA Army units. Either the UA does have supersoldiers or the RU just blunder every promising development.

Maybe it's also a strategic goal... Until now, they always waited for the backups to arrive and usually put them down... @@Cine95 Russia's position is definitely better than Ukraine's both militarily and economically speaking, but overall the situation is bad because it keeps escalating, each year the conflict worsens and now they gave permission for the ukrainians to strike russian territory, Russia will probably respond and then the West will respond again and we'll keep on this cycle until ww3 happens. Not to mention China's exercises around taiwan and Trump possibly getting arrested with the chances of we getting a peaceful resolution dying quicker and quicker
I really hope we don't get to see a direct conflict between NATO and the eastern countries because it'll be a shitshow, everyone from both sides who think that it's cool because they watch a lot of movies and play videogames will pay the price and lose their easy way of life, the problem is that the smart ones and innocents who don't want this shit will suffer together.

F-16s wont change anything. These fighers need special airbases what will be attacked by russians at the first day these planes arrive. Plus F-16s are as vulnerable to SA missiles as the ex soviet fighters of Ukraine. There are very few ukrainian pilots able to fly these planes... Israel lost F-16 cos syrian air defence what is much weaker than the russian air defence.
