@@cozmicsoull I would, we had a 2010 GS convertible that we liked and the only reason I traded it was because of the automatic transmission, it worked fine but the manual in these late C6 cars is just so Dadgum good. Get her, you won’t regret it.
My 07 LS2 400hp V8 does just fine. The differences between the LS2 and 3 are highly exaggerated. 30 extra horsepower won't change the world. The LS engines are very good in general.
I respect your preference for the 2008 onward C6 with its LS3. But for me, I'll take the 0.5 second hit on on the 0 to 60 time in return for having a Lemans Blue C6. The way I see it, I get to enjoy that gorgeous color every time I look at it versus taking an extra half a second on the occasional sprint to 60 mph. And hey, if one loves driving their Corvette, isn't that just another half second of joy? 🤣
The C6 convertible is the only C6 I like, due to the fact I don't personally like the hatch back design or lines of the coupe. I have a 2013 GS conv, it's an awesome car!
I should have know this was a sales pitch when he said he didn't know about the audio system, when someone sincerely trying to transmit information about the car would have simply looked the fact up beforehand.
Problem is your are wrong. The ls2 is actually the best motor. Anyone can super charge them and get the ls2 up to 1000 hp ls2 is better than the ls3 for tuning
Beautiful car plus nice job kid on showing this car . ... My next vet is going to be white because of you true story! Thank you but seriously did a great job🎉
I want the 60-year vet which is the 2013 I think it comes in white with gray stripes on the hood but I'm definitely getting a white Corvette thank you again
Nah I’m sorry but the convertible C6 has always looked weird to me. Kinda like a middle aged man balding but deciding to hold on to whatever hair he has left lol
It's not a better engine. I'm so sick and tired of people here saying this. I've built so many LS engines I can tell you right now there's very little difference between an LS2 and an LS3 and both of them can be built to produce massive power. Hell. I built an LS1 to head over 3,000 horsepower so there's nothing special about the '08 and newer over the 05, 06 and '07
@@donosa755yes, definitely less reliable than the LS2. Any mechanic will confirm this. They were especially prone to catching fire, much like the ‘84 Fiero 2M4.
Hi, CEO of General Motors speaking here - I can confirm that there is a massive difference in performance between the LS2 and the LS3. Glad to clear the confusion on this topic.
Both LS2 and LS3 engines have port injection to wash carbon deposits off the intake valve and reduce risk of Low Speed Preignition. C7 and C8 have this potential at high mileage because of DI.
Great video! I got a 2008 triple black convertible C6! It’s timeless! Still draws attention from everyone! 💯💯💯💯
I have had 4 C6(3 verts/1 Z06), currently a ‘12 GS 6 spd convertible. Love this car. They are just timelessly beautiful.
Considering a 2011 GS manual, low mileage convertible. Do you get much wind noise without a wind deflector? Would you recommend? Thanks.

@@johnasbury9915 Thanks! Enjoy and be safe.
My first Corvette was a 2005 C6 Lemans Blue Coupe. I currently own a 2013 60th Anniversary Grand Sport Coupe. I am a big fan of the C6.
I have the convertible I really like this car mine is charcoal with blue metal flake and ebony interior.i know you loving your Grand Sport.enjoy.
The best color in the world is Lemans Blue.
I agree! I have an 08 vert! The NPP performance exhaust also makes the sounds perfect!
The steering gear was also improved along with NPP exhaust. They are great cars and reliable and easy to maintain and work on.
I have the Grand Sport 2013 I really enjoy driving the Corvette.plenty of horse power and rides smooth.great car for the $.
This gen Vette had my heart for the longest, especially once it came out with the performance exhaust
I bought a 2013 convertible in 2013. Your car displayed looks just like it. Loved it the next five years.
I have an 08 and I have to agree with you one of the best "newer" design I think is pretty hard to beat.

Yea, but my LT1 Manual Top never disappoints like the power top not working when it starts to rain. :(
I also enjoy the long term no mechanism maintenance and lighter weight of a manual top
Great review! RUGER

You still got deals like this going on?
well done
I concur.

Off topic. You have same hair and skin that I do. Make sure you use sunscreen EVERY time you go out side! Trust me on this!
Soft top looks horrible. Its a necessity for bad weather, but not much GM could do to make it look good.
Is that a dead poodle on top of his head?
Give it to me
Who cares, just enjoy the car. At that speed you’ll get arrested

And I’ve always considered the C6 vert (especially the Grand Sport) to be the most attractive Vette ever produced!

I’ve seen many comments saying that the >2008 ls2 engines are unreliable, is this true

The LS3 is a better engine, more power and more reliability is the overall general concensus.. the LS1 and 2 are still great and not far behind..
