    I've a 2013 1LZ C6Z. After 60Kmi and nearly 6 years of ownership, I still couldn't be happier with it. And everyone whose driven it wants one. And it has essentially the same Tremec as the C7. Just one more cog forward. So far, no electrical or mechanical issues. As reliable as any Japanese car I've owned. No one could be more gobsmacked about that than me.

    I have found out the problem with headlight covers hazing up: ammonia. Windex and most glass cleaners have it. Use "Sparkle" purple cleaner. Some waxes have something similar to ammonia in them. Don't wax the covers.
    Once the pitting process begins, nothing can stop it except resurfacing with abrasive friction.

    This is another nicely done video. When I was shopping for my C6 I wanted a 2008 or newer model due to the engine and transmission changes. I found a 2011 Grand Sport online with almost no mileage but it was 1LT. My Corvette guru suggested I find a car that was better-optioned and in 2015 I bought my 2008 Z51 Coupe (6 MT) 3LT, one of only 212 Base Coupes brought into Canada that year, with barely break-in mileage and saved me a great deal of money as well. That money goes to gasoline as in three summers I have put on more mileage than the previous owner did in eight. There is nothing remotely comparable to the Corvette for value for performance and aesthetic dollar. And, Brad, that Grand Sport is gorgeous! My wife is anxious that we get C7 wheels and yours look really super so I will lurk on the Corvette Forum.

    After buying my first corvette (07 base convertible) I’d suggest anyone looking for a C6 to save your money and buy an 08 or later Grand Sport. They are more expensive but you’re getting your money’s worth. It is so much more car than the base model and less than a Z06.

      @@6.2kvn I personally don’t think you can go wrong with any 08 and later corvette. Based on my limited experience with low mileage cars that are 10 plus years old is,,,, they are not always better and 30K miles for a 10 plus year old car is relatively low even for a summer only car. I would love to get a stick shift vette but that $5k is kind of a deal breaker at this point. How reliable are the automatics on these? • @RaztechPowersports
      @RaztechPowersports  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your automatic transmission doesn't have rev matching, when you down shift the car will slow down with engine braking. Rev Matching allows you to maintain the same speed when down shifting with no input from the gas pedal (adjust the rpms to the speed automatically).

    • @David-td4ik
