- The official video for 'Wild Kingdom' by Ross Valory from the forthcoming album "All Of The Above," Directed by Michael Cotten. Cover art by Prairie Prince. 2024 OID Music, LLC ©.
"Wild Kingdom is definitely a good example of the variety of songs on 'All of the Above'. It is certainly stylistically different than 'Tomland', as are the rest of the songs on this first album. I wrote the piece on a Calliope keyboard patch in the mid 80's and had the privelage of developing the arrangement with Karl Perazzo, Master Percussionist with Santana, in 2012. Wild Kingdom became my first venture in recording with authentic Latin rhythms as well as the first project I worked on with keyboardist Eric Levy." - Ross Valory

Such a beautiful and unique video.........Through the eyes of a child.........The music inspires the possibility Thank Ross
Very good!
great bass playing wow!
I saw Journey only once, back in 1983, when I was still in HS. My favorite part of the show was your bass solo, as that contained the only bit from the early stuff (I'm Gonna Leave You). These 2 tracks I've heard so far sound great! Nice to see you working with 2 Santana guys.
1:20 Man this is cool! The intricacies using simple sounds are simply fantastic. Never expected anything like this!
Shades of Weather Report! I absolutely love this! I can't wait to hear more! ❤😊
Way to go Ross.
Great music.
I’m looking forward to the album!
This is such a fun song! I love the percussion in this song! Such a good song!
You are killing it what a great trip
Bold and beautiful, Ross. We've known each for other for a day or two and I'm so dang happy to see you doing music that you obviously love. Top of the food chain all the way!
Only one Ross Valory, my friend you are loved.
I've been reading Nick DeRiso's recent biography of Journey. I'm about 1/3rd through the book, and several things about Ross stood out to me: 1. Apparently he's got an amazing memory for all the people he's worked with and all the projects he's worked on, and 2. He's just an overall cool guy to get along with. Anyway, big congrats on your solo debut Ross. All the best to you in the future!
This is just tasty.
This is so full and rich and such a great musical and visual trip! Dad would have LOVED the sax. Keep killing it brother!
Wow love it👍❤️ it's so beautiful ❤
Groovy tune and fun visuals. Thanks for the music, Ross!
Great track
It was 1974 or 5, and I was driving on the bay shore when KSJO played a new song by a new bay area band. I was blown away by the base. Ross I have had the good fortune to know you, you are truly a good and humble man. But base is a stand out.
This is one of those tracks where the personality of the writer shines through: quirky, upbeat, and completely fun. Man, I'd love to jam with you!
❤❤❤
Thanks Ross !
You're one of my influences on bass.
This was a pleasant surprise! Very nice, Ross.
Very Artistic and Creative 👍
Great to see you on your own !!
Way kool!!!😁✌️
That’s awesome I’ve been doing allot of instrumentals myself, used to play nothing but guitar but now I’m doing all kinds of instrumental material myself and find it way more enjoyable.
Wow! That’s 2 for 2! Tomland and now Wild Kingdom. These are brilliant pieces of work! The album can’t come out quick enough for me.
Wow i love this
Has a 'baby elephant walk' vibe going on 🐘
Very tastefully done
That's some groovy stuff. Love the vibe!
Love this! Some cool sounds!
Thank you so much for sharing everything is beautiful ❤
👍👍👌
That's so different not at all what I expected, Marc Russo on sax just nails it also
Sounds like a cross between Spyro Gyra and 3rd Force; like it could have been released on the old Higher Octave label. Looking forward to the album release
Spyro Gyra ,not a bad band to be compared to !
