- ADVENTURE TRAVEL THROUGH POLAND
I booked the cheapest flights I could find (£92 return) from Leeds Bradford airport. Flinging in to Gdańsk then out of Wrocław with no plans or direction in between going where the wind blows me but in -9C! I have a sleeping bag and Bivvy as fall back accommodation to survive which I use several times to save money. I also book some lovely places to stay along the way allowing me to explore the cities. I meet loads of lovely kind people, eat some incredible food, see the sights and have a few beers. I love to explore and push my comfort zone. Language was the biggest barrier but I’m good at charades👌

Poland is an amazingly underrated destination and the Polish people are so so lovely - and the women are off the scale. Just look at Polish history including people like the winged Hussars. Once upon a not so long ago, it was a huge empire.
Thanks for so many positive words about my country, it is true that history is beautiful but also bloody.
If someone respects us and our traditions, he will be our guest and will only enjoy Poland.
I hope it stays like this forever.

What a lovely way to spend some time. Did similar in Krakow a couple of years ago. The Polish people were absolutely lovely, friendly and eager to help. Gdańsk is on the list for the coming year, so thanks for the early introduction . Great video and much deserved break

What a nice change of video. Having been to Gdansk and Krakow, the people are very nice for the most part. Even with the language barrier. That's some dedication sleeping in the open

Great to see that you're loving Poland! I wonder where you're going to next? There's so much to see, and so much history to discover. Have you visited any castles yet? Don't forget the museums too. And miles of forests.
If you fancy a down to earth taste of Poland find a "bar mleczny", they are canteen style with hearty Polish food, and a little leftover atmosphere from the PRL.
If you're staying along the coast then Ustka and Kołobrzeg have interesting WW2 history. If you fancy old Tuetonic castles then Malbork is unbeatable, as is Toruń (also famous for pierniki spiced cookies). And if you find yourself in Bydgoszcz, that's my husband's hometown!
I’ve kept it simple with the cities and travelling by train. Next time I’ll be in the Tatra mountains 😬

early this year I was stuck down with an illness well more of a disease that has changed my life completely. Your videos are a breath of fresh air and has helped me though when the pain been so bad i could not get out of bed. I love camping my self and travel. I still like to travel where possible though its not the same now I am on a stick, i am only in my early 40s and its been a real struggle. Polish people are most warm hearted friendly people you will come across I hope you had an amazing time just getting out there enjoying life. Do it now as I say to anyone otherwise you never know what will happen. I am planning a small trip to america next year hope to do a small vlog though will not go with my channel. Hopefully my immune and chemo meds keep me well enough to enjoy something similar to what you did. I cant wait to see your next video. kind Regards Dan

This was a very different video! Awesome idea. I spent a few weeks in Poland when I was about 13. We spent a few days in a nature reserve with a guy who tracked the wolves and bison there...which was the very first thing I thought of when I saw you set up camp in those woods! 😮 I'm glad the Gruffalo left you to it on this occasion!!

great start to the adventure, i love it when people see you strugglin and they just step up and get things done. like 6 times this year i've had to hitchhike, 3 geordie couples one irish fella and two english couples, not just a lift but they all jumped out and put my heavy bags in the van/car for me. ps. theres a scot called steve marsh who does these no nonsense travel vids and he lists the price for everything which really helps a lot to inspire.
It costs nothing to help people. I’ve towed a couple broken down cars before and when they’ve offered money I’ve said no and explained how kindness makes both sides feel good. Hopefully they went off and showed kindness themselves 😬

30+ years ago I went motorbike camping round Europe including Poland but chickened out camping in Poland stayed in hotels with bike lock ups, loved every minute, it looks much more developed now, you make me want to go back, not in the winter though
