    I know CFmoto has been around for ages, but they're taking the motorcycle market by storm.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I completely agree! The relationship they have with KTM has helped them without a doubt but that doesn't change the fact that they are bringing bikes to market with solid tech and capabilities at a price that beats or at the very least matches the competition. I firmly believe it will push everyone else to give us better bikes at better prices in the long run. It's a win for riders! I can't wait for the rumored 500cc inline 4 and the v4 superbike. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

      I'm with you on that. They made some interesting choices in design and it paid off for me. I just rode the 800nk yesterday and it looks just like this one but bigger. CFMoto is making a statement and I hope it challenges the rest of the market to step up. Stay safe and thank you for taking your time to comment.

    Sodid review for a non owner, I just picked up a used 450ss (2023) with less than 200 miles, the retail price of these bikes is impressive, BUT, good luck getting one without a crap ton of fees added on, I got mine for $5k, I'll have to pay tax on just that amount and the price of my tag, that's it. With that being said, I will try to grab the NK also because the SS is a back breaker for an old guy like myself, even if I was a roadracer back in the day. Motor is very impressive, build quality is very good as well, only thing that slightly and only VERY slightly disappoints, is the gear shifter has a slightly long throw and the front brake isn't as good as I thought it would be, it's good but not great, I'll try a race compund pad, maybe that'll help. I say, IF, you can get a decent price on one, go for it, but I have a Honda dealer close by that charges no extra fees at all, that changes things...

      Thank you, I appreciate your words and try my best in 20 minutes to convey the emotions and feelings about the bike. I try to walk up and film with as little information as possible and just speak from observation and memory.
      I still want to try the SS since I hold the Ninja 400 is such high regard the SS based on specs alone is better but I want to ride it so I can feel how the bike is. When I do get a change to ride one I will keep your information in mind however as I would have expected a super solid braking system for the SS since its a full Brembo system to my knowledge. Let me know if changing the pads helps please!
      I know the feeling when it comes to the back on Sport bikes. I still ride them but yeah the distance of those rides keep getting shorter between stops lol. The joys of getting old I suppose. Any way Stay safe and Enjoy the Ride!

    I think there is a mistake about the weight of the bike. Revzilla did a review of the sister bike, the Cfmoto 450SS. They weighed it wet at 396lbs with a full tank of gas. The weight of the extra fairings shouldn’t be that big of a difference. I really like the new CFMoto line up and their fresh styling. They have a 450MT adventure bike with the same motor and a 21/18 inch tire set up that I’m dying to try out. Good review! 😎👍

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I noticed that also to be honest. Sadly, I have to go with the manufacturers claimed specs and they claimed 364lbs for the NK and 370lbs for the SS. I'm sure that was with as little gas as possible since it claims 3.7 gallons and that would be about 24 pounds that would be the difference I suppose. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and bringing that to the discussion because its important! I greatly appreciate everyone's thoughts and opinions. The MT would be a blast to ride, I think. I don't know if we will get them in America but I would like to see it happen! Stay safe!

      @@MotorcycleDemoRiders thanks for the kind words. One other thing I will add is that I believe CFmoto single handedly got Kawasaki to make changes to their lineup… their competition is good for us consumers! Next year we will now have a ninja 500 and z500. They will have the kawi’s new eliminator 450 cruiser motor (it’s a stroked out 400cc). You can see these bikes on Kawasaki’s Europe page. I’m sure we will see other manufacturers making big changes because of CFMoto. Thanks again for the great video. There are many riders that know nothing about CFMoto . it’s because of videos like yours… knowledge will spread to the masses. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your videos. Liked and subscribed. 😎👍

Stay safe and again thank you!

    Just thought you should know, I bought one of these from Randy's today during the CFMoto demo day (got the Nebula White though). Traded in my Versys X 300 so it should be for sale soon if you still want to do a video on it. If you do, just treat the tachometer like an inline 4. Those tiny pistons love to rev and I usually cruised around 7k rpm on it.

    i think i'm going for this one as my first bike. i considered the duke 390 too, but i heard it's quite jerky and it has some quality issues like water leaking into the gas tank when it rains, and cheap buttons getting stuck.
    the 450NK seems to have everything, and somehow it's also the least expensive out of all the naked bikes i looked at. the only negative i heard of is that the rider seat and passenger seat are uncomfortably hard. did you notice that at all, if i may ask?

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thanks for watching, and this would be a great first bike, in my opinion. I found it to be a comfortable rider seat. I can't speak to the passenger seat. It's not a long-distance bike, of course, but I felt as comfortable on this as the ninja 400, z400, gsx-250r, or g310gs. I would love to compare the Duke 390 but haven't been able to ride one yet. To be honest, you can't go wrong with most bikes these days. They are all pretty good, but with the tech, feel, and price point of this its just too good a proposition, in my opinion, vs. the competition. Either way, welcome to 2 wheels! Stay safe

    • @donderstorm1845
      @donderstorm1845 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@MotorcycleDemoRiders that's good to hear about the seat. i'll be using it for short distance city commuting for the most part so i'm not too worried about long distance riding. thanks for the reply.

      As the owner of two 390 Duke's (2020 model, written off by a cager pulling out after 11000 miles) with my 2022 model having just hit 10500 miles I can assure you I have not had one issue with the 390 Duke as a daily commuter apart from my 2020 having the rea shock replaced under warranty. They are great, solid little bikes an have no issues recommending them, only cost might be a factor but residual value higher when you come to sell it on. I ride in all weathers, switchgear is higher quality than CF Moto and water in the gas tank when it rains, ha.

    • @donderstorm1845
      @donderstorm1845 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@rogerkay8603 i think the 390 is an excellent bike too but there are many people who have had problems with it. the water leaking into the gas tank is an issue with the 2024 model. the petrol cap doesn't seal properly. there are other issues with them apparently, but it's indian riders who are raising these issues since they're the first to ride them. the jerkiness of the duke is another thing that the 450nk doesn't have. it's expected since it's a single cylinder but it's not something i'm looking forward to in city riding. it's somewhat fixable but not completely, and it's an additional cost even though the duke is probably already more expensive. it should be less pricey than the 450 but here we are.
      seems like the cfmoto is just a better quality bike so i'm leaning towards that one.

  • @nightcoremetal2518
    @nightcoremetal2518 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    What were your thoughts on the brakes? One of the big selling points of the 450SS is it has a Brembo M40 caliper, but the 450NK has a lower spec J. Juan caliper.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I personally found the brakes to be good for the size of this bike. I wasn't pushing the system to obviously but never had a moment when I was the slightest bit worried about being able to stop. While I wouldn't complain if they had it on the bike, I am not going to knock it since it's still a better bike than the competition and this price point.
      I have no doubt that the Brembo would give a little more stopping power it would be more that most would ever need. I don't think Brembo would have bought J. Juan if the system wasn't functional. I really wanted to try the SS before the NK but even afterwords I think the SS would take the top spot for me as the best beginner sport bike or even a starting track bike since it does have the Brembo caliper. Either way CF Moto has me excited about this segment of motorcycles.
      Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it and hope you have a safe and wonderful day!

    • @AdeptusAmogus
      @AdeptusAmogus 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The Brembos on the 450SS are much more suited to track riding with consistent hard braking that gets them up to temp, than standard city riding. The J. Juans are softer and feel much more usable on the streets where you're not heating your brakes constantly.

    This or the 650nk? Both are the same price right now. it will be my first bike, used for work and occasionally 2 hour rides. I have a bit of experience riding mopeds.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I like them both personally. I would probably go with the 450nk myself. It sounds better with the 270 crank, enough power, and very easy to ride. Sure you get a little more power from 650nk but ultimately it comes down to personally feeling. Pick the one that speaks to you the most. I am sure you will enjoy either one. Stay safe and I would be very interested in knowing which you go with!

    Who designed and built the engine?

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      CFMoto(Zhejiang Chunfeng Power Co., Ltd) designed and built this engine to my knowledge however due the partnership they have with KTM I wouldn't be surprised if we see a KTM Duke 450 in the future. I wasn't being super gentle with it and it never complained. I really enjoyed it and I hope they continue to pressure the rest of the market to step and meet the challenge. We shouldn't have to pay the same or more money for less. Triumphs new small bikes also look amazing and from what I've heard about the price point it should be a fun and exciting 2024 lineup for small bikes.
