This is the one and only useful video on TH-cam for putting this bird together. I'm back again, bought another because I destroyed the first one. Reversed my elevator in my head!
@@csullivancox I'm glad you confirmed that because that's what I was thinking That's why I originally posted the video because nobody gave you the info you needed about this little bird they show you things after they've already done it which doesn't make sense to me I don't get many views though so hopefully the service I'm trying to provide catches on for the people that really want it and these guys that just show you things after the fact or a highlight video won't get all the recommended video views
Very helpful video in helping me get mine assembled, thank you! Instructions are horrible, but the plane is so damn awesome. 35 lights on this thing! Scored it on Banggood last week during a flash sale for $89.68 with shipping and taxes, how do you say no? I'm a huge fan of the 400mm Eachine Warbirds and have all 15 of them, so this 560mm RTF Warbird was a no brainer. It arrived today, it's assembled and everything works perfectly. So impressed with the 280's size, quality, detail and features at such a crazy low price. And the included controller is nicer than I was expecting.
@@davidsapir3764 I didn't have the little bugger for very long I ended up giving it to a buddy but my speed controller and bored were broken at my original assembly and I battled with banggood for weeks with their slow one response per day only to say they're very sorry and give me no solution finally came to the point where they gave me a $50 credit which was enough for me to board on Amazon never dealing with the overseas people again if they can't find some way to get it in the States I'm good. I really want to get my hands on the new Volentex which is 500 mm I think that will be great it does have little size on the rest of them but the biggest deal is that that one has a brushless motor I will definitely pass on the 450 from hobby zone because that one has a brushed motor, the Volentex has the capability of putting a spectrum receiver in it so I will definitely like that better with a brushless motor. But on that note the XK A280 that you have you can also fly on your hobby grade trans it changes everything being able to add an expo to that thing it flies so much better you just feel so much more in control and you can fly with the gyro off with no issues even upside down
Thanks for this video. I was having a real problem deciphering bad...nonexistent...instructions. So far everything seems to be functioning. Maiden flight yet to happen and the rains are further delaying it.
@@coloradofotomatt I've had a few bad experiences dealing with being good at this point I think I'm completely done with them it was a nightmare dealing with that plane I had to end up settling with them for a $50 credit which I used to buy a flight controller on Amazon never having to deal with them ever again mine was bad out of the box after that it flew pretty good at ultimately ended up giving it to a buddy I work with it's a very cool plane larger than the 400 series which makes it quite unique when everybody else is flying the small war birds the directions are a joke Hope my video helped though getting you in the air
I just did the maiden today and it Flys pretty good but I need more trim for the ailerons and elevator. Do you have any suggestions on how to do that? When I'm flying it wants to keep banking to the left and there is no more right trim to give it. Like wise on the elevator it wants to descend and there is no more up trim.
@@HORRUS29 When I'm flying it wants to keep banking to the left and there is no more right trim to give it. If you have given it all the trim to the right that you can and it's still going left I would say stick in a battery good enough for a ground check and see where the aileron are if they are extremely far from center now make a note of that and do a mechanical trim on the white clevis that connect the elevons to the servo linkage on each side of the wing. Like wise on the elevator it wants to descend and there is no more up trim. I fully understand this disposition and know that it is an extremely hard aircraft to fly because you have to give it up elevator all the time it is a miserable flight at best I would say apply the same method for the elevator as above I understand also that sometimes people's text might not be exactly understandable if it doesn't come clear in my message above send me another message and I will do a short video for you just to show you how to fix this
@@coloradofotomatt it's the dual rate if you press it it'll be once if you press it again it'll be twice when it goes to beeping twice that gives you the second rate which is definitely necessary for that thing it flies terrible in the first rate turns like a tank once you engage that second rate it actually flies much better and you can have fun with it
@@Pooley929 Got that figured out last night! Finally had time to power up the '51, step through all the buttons and watch differences in control surface reactions. That was actually helpful to do it. I'm expecting an NX8 next week and hoping to bind to it eliminating the need for this TX.

@@coloradofotomatt There is 3V port next to an SBUS port that you plug a spektrum receiver in. I used the SBUS port with an FrSky receiver and it worked but there are different channels used. For example, I believe channel 5 is for flight mode (6G, manual, 3D)
@@StickJockeyFPV NO!!! You DO NOT plug a Spektrum DSM satellite anywhere near the S-bus socket!!! Spektrum satellites run on 3v (3.3v actually) the same as the base board electronics.
