Yeah your right 👍.. I almost crashed again after I fixed it cause I didn't plug my ailerons in all the way ,so it started flopping around the sky and wouldn't respond to my stick commands. I switched into safe to try to correct but didn't work. So I just used elevator up and down dove it towards the ground and it connected just enough for me to level off and land..I got lucky on that. I'm definitely not going to baby it anymore. Lol

Man the wind in my area is aggravating over 10 everyday and after many wasted trips to the field I made my rule not to go unless it's below 10mph 🤬

One thing about it here it makes a nice video but those mosquitoes were eating us alive

I have thought about that in the past but on Spectrum the only thing you have a push button but the issue with that is it's on the left side of the radio and I'm not comfortable with that due to it being on the same side as the throttle stick I can easily use my forefinger to reach the switch I currently use without removing my hands off the stick at all but it really all comes down what you train to do if you set up that way and practice that way you can do it that way

I do have a TX16S maybe I'll circle back to it at some point and do a BNF it's just soo hard to me (compared to Spectrum)well at least it was the last time I tried I've gotten much more knowledgeable about this stuff now I'll look into it and give it another try Thanks for giving me that thought and maybe u can help me learn that thing cuz I really like it the gimbals are awesome

​@@Pooley929 the Learning curve for EdgeTx is steep, I'm still learning myself, but I really like it. you can do a bunch of stuff with this Tx. although I do like the Simplicity of the Spektrum OS.

Mostly only did the video. Because some people didn't think that it would fly well after such a tremendous break. But I totally can't tell the difference other than seeing the crack. That aggravates me to my core. I did paint it up, though.

There is just something that can't be put into words about that thing. Approaching you from the front head on at a slow speed low to the ground. It's just so dramatic and yet super cool, yes.

Yes you end up with wires folded over and bulky plus the hit you take on stacking connectors

@@Pooley929 yeah it's 3s, the original f-27q by parkzone was 2s and no safe. i really love the umx evolution version, with the only exception of no rudder control.

@@Pooley929 unlike the dozen timbers it doesn't get continued sale, the only reason I can think of being too afraid of people crashing who can't control it and being liable for making it available, probably. such a wimp culture we get as time goes on 🙄😔 but i always get compliments at the field and lucky to have found one on forums recently.

On that topic it's crazy. A friend of mine is an artist. He painted my red tail completely because he had lost it in a tree for a couple of weeks when we finally retrieved it. It was a bit weathered and beaten after it had rained a few times he painted up nice and cool I was the next day I was looking for something in the back and I took it out and set it on top of the Van. Without paying attention, I slammed the door and smashed the hole tail in the van door, took it out a few minutes later. It had already reformed to its normal shape. Durable, little sucker.

The wobble you have could be 2 things. Number one would be You are releasing the stick after the turn. And if you release your stick while looking at your radio, you will see that the stick bounces a bit before Return to stop in dead center. If it's not that and you are not just releasing it and you're controlling it back to center and you have that wobble, it could be that your #2 AS3X is on a high sensitive setting. You can go to my video on how to. Unlock your receiver and do that and then start from a fresh model like. I also cover in the video and you will be able to put the A. S3X on a knob, which will allow you to control it with that knob. And dial it in and out and fine-tune, your AS3X for a different wind days. If That doesn't cover it exactly as you need. Let me know if you need any specific part of the process that you need and I will post a video for you.

I'm definitely not letting the sticks snap back , Im controlling through. 8 have mine set up on a 3 position switch ,so I can have safe, as3x and off. I can fly with it off basic turns etc. So I'll try it off and see if it still wobbles cause I haven't tried that yet. I guess if it stops wobbling in off position it should mean that as3x is to sensitive right? If that's the case I'll try to do like you showed by setting the sensitivity down. Thank you for the advice. I appreciate it . I didn't even think of that.

@@dradden1556 Yes you are correct once you turn AS3X completely off and it stops the wobble then your AS3X is set too high adjust accordingly

Once you get one, you will probably let go of other means of gluein it's just so precise so less messy so quick. I love this. I'm going to buy another brand that's more of a pistol grip now that I have fallen in love with the quickness of this, waiting for glue guns was always a thorn in my side. I would pull the trigger 15 to 20 times waiting on it and it still wouldn't be ready. This 6 seconds and you are pressing

My only issue with all the foam products Ive tried. Is they take away too long to dry? And you can't tape anything with foam cause you removed the paint. So you've stuck with holding it. Which I end up with a worse product than when I started. Because I just can't be patient enough to hold something for 30 minutes. Glue gun thirty seconds!!!

I have all the rates set up as they suggest. But I can tell you. I rarely use anything other than a 100%. I don't have any birds that I feel like. Would do them justice to not be at full rate? However, I am a brand New Flyer. This might be a Noobie thing. Having said that, I do play with my EXPO quite a bit though I Try to get that to my liking which takes a few flights to figure out of course. What a 100% throw and EXPO at about 10 to 15 I feel like it's a very good balance if i was having trouble leveling the bird out. I would probably rethink this. But it's so stable and easy. I haven't give it a second thoughts since the maiden On the maiden, I had added a little bit of elevator to the flap system. I've 0 that out since its just a truly stable n didnt need it. Cool bird, if you look my videos, you'll see my video where I crashed it and it was just strictly a newbie mistake but it ultimately stalled, if this thing goes into a stall. There is no recovery. Know that!! so if you are super Low like I like to be and going way too slow Which I like to do. And you just lose that balance at some point. It's gonna go down and there is no recovery, so hopefully if you ever stall, you're up high. One of my club members were at the edge of the runway and we had a cross when blowing my bird directly into him. After I made 2 attempts to land you think he would have got the point, but he didn't. So I just foolishly enough. Went around one more time and dropped that wing a little bit too low. And she spiraled to the ground like a rock with no wings at all. Somehow now I feel like it's for the best though. I'll eventually get another one for the love corsair so much, but this 1 I fly fearlessly now which is more fun than 1 that you're BABYING IT lol

Yeah I saw the vid of you working on the Corsair damage and talking about how it happened. I get it. I'm actually a new fixed wing flyer too. Not much experience but have been flying scale helis for a while . So that really helped me transition to fixed wing. You know muscle memory with transmitter and the basic flow of RC aircraft response in the air. Thanks a lot for the info and responding. I'll definitely try that. I haven't used expo before . Fortunately haven't crashed my Corsair yet. Knock on wood. But I'm sure it will come. Lol. I really appreciate it.

@@Pooley929 off subject. But one of the pins fell out of my landing gear struts and lost a wheel as I was coming in to land. I had to belly land in the grass . No damage. Thank goodness. Lol. I was able to get a new box of pins from auto zone that work great. Apparently it commonly happens with that Corsair. In case anyone ask you about it. You just have to recycle the gear like 2 or 3 times fo reset thegear

Agree, I have the 47 in the F4U I love to get the Mustang next, but funds don't dictate the ability to do so right now. So whenever maybe the T28 maybe but it's not my favorite. I just don't like the look of it as much. Thanks to checking out my video. Thanks for comment

Hey thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to drop a comment. I really like this bird and I fly it often. It doesn't handle wind as much as others do. But it's not. A problem either I fly it in 12 mile an hour winds fearlessly. The only issue is landing it it. Gets a little harder to land when the wind is not cooperating.

I've only been flying for less than a year. Really approaching the 1 year mark now. And that's 750mm l looked internet searches, but not really where you could buy it but I did. Want it really bad when I first started since then. I've let go of that dream. But I suppose it would have been fun. Let's face it 400 mm or cool as they can be. But if you had the same fearless flight experience on something a little bit bigger, it would be more enjoyable as sometimes a turn. You lose your orientation with little guys.

Keep us posted on the progress. I'm sure it will work.

I just got back in town. I tried that adjusting flap settings down from 100 on my flaps . I have an nx8 . I think the protocol is the same . Not sure though. My flap servos sound like they are still running no matter where I put the number adjustment down from 100. My mid flaps are doing it now too unless I go to full flap the back to mid. Then it stops whining for some reason. It's weird cause my last nx8 was bound to this plane and it didn't do that. I set everything up exactly the same with the new NX8. I'm lost . Thinking about just using the mid flaps ( takeoff) . Lol It lands so smooth anyway even with half flaps , I can cut the throttle 100ft out and it just glides in nice and smooth with little feathering and flair. It flys really good either way. So you think I should just go with it ? I mean since it does stop whining on mid flaps setting

You think the flap servos can be bad , even if the plane was brand new as it started doing it? I tried that adjusting on my nx8 . It stops running. But as soon as I cycle my flaps one time ,they start back to keeping running . Only on full land flaps though. On Level and mid, take off flaps the servos stop running like they should. So I've been just using mid flaps for everything. Lol

@dradden1556 Man those are really cheap plastic gear Servos they are probably not bad but any ammount of stress will make um hum and those cool split flaps have alot of tension on them so a stronger servo would not get stressed out by the force at the end point however (just me ) I'd fly that thing like that till they burn out and only then change them. Mine does the same thing now and then I don't worry about it the short time you have them on should not kill them plus most of that time wind is going across the wing surface and will cool it well. I've probably got about 40 flights on my and it's still goin!!! My reverse thrust put too much stress on my on one gear (that was re glued after the crash) and it came out I hit the aileron servo on the ground at very low speed almost completely stopped and broke so they are weak servos

It's like I'm spoilt now when I fly birds don't have it. I still click the switch and get mad that it's not there.
