Fleet Foxes are great. Totally agree with what you said about live music. I’m a big Deadhead myself (obviously lol) and my absolute favorite versions of my favorite songs are the ones with moments in solos where you can hear Jerry’s finger slip off a string, or someone miss a note and have an awesome recovery that wasn’t planned, or some feedback squeal right at the peak of a riff, etc. That’s the stuff that really transports me and gives me chills. With live music it’s truly the imperfections that make it perfect. Thanks for the vid man.

Fleet foxes has literally changed my life. Robin feels like a close friend and I’m so grateful for his humanity, his artistry and his poetry. His voice is so soothing and beautiful, I literally have to listen to him everyday. Also, singing along to fleet foxes has helped with my resonance so much!!

I totally agree with you ! Thank you for writing this, I'm so happy we're in tune about that. I feel like his music, their music is a partner i've been walking along with for years and I wouldn't be able to live without. I can't stop singing their songs and making them resonate in me to feel good just singing it !

Super pleasant surprise to see a reaction to Fleet Foxes, they're so wonderful, and Robin's concert in the church was incredible, and he's come so so far as a singer over the years

This show is brilliant, so intimate and gentle and he sounds great. Fleet Foxes are comforting and always resonate with me a lot. I know Robin has the same issues with depression/anxiety as I do, so after all these years he feels like a close friend to me and is among my favourite humans. I'm beyond grateful.

Gregory Alan Isakov is another singer with almost this exact style but seems more technically consistent. It doesn't stop him from being incredibly moving to listen to I think it enhances it. Goes to show you can gain technique without sacrificing the soul of your music.

One of my favorite song-a-long bands! And that spiel you had about singers who help to sing along to who put you in happy voice places, fleet foxes does that for me too! And circa survive as well. I'm a girl, and Anthony green puts me in a good mixed voice

i just love how you analyze things. ive found that it's really helped me understand and appreciate and work with my instrument better rather than trying to force my instrument to emmulate the ideal sound that many other people in the vocal pedagogy community praises. and im planning to get vocal coaching soon so i really hope that they would also teach me many technical things like you do in your videos.
i was rewatching some of your older videos and i would really love for you to analyze one of my favorite kpop idols f(x)'s Luna, specifically her performances on masked singer (sad fate and i'll write you a letter) and immortal songs (salt doll) or because the way she uses her voice is so dynamic i love it. another one would be a korean vocal group called big mama. theyre all such great singers with distinct timbres and its amazing how well they harmonize. plus two of them are professors of applied music in universities in south korea!

From someone with no singing voice or experience whatsoever, I'm a complete layman in this field. Saying that, I'm learning so much about our voices, and how many variants there are to making/changing a sound, I sincerely thank you Sam🙏
I'm sorry to say though, I don't find the artist you're listening to, has a sound that I like... it's just not doing it for me, sorry, but that's probably due to my lack of experience. I would say my favourite artist from a voice point of view, would be 'Clever'. At times he sounds like a thespian singing along to a Shakespeare play, then other times, has the sound of Post Malone, then when he talks, it's like he's straight out of 'Swamp People' off the History Channel! 🤣🤣🤣 (sorry Clever, it's a compliment, honest 🙏🙋🏻‍♂️)

Sam! I would absolutely die of happiness if you would do an analysis of Bat for Lashes (Natasha Khan)… her voice is absolutely so unique and beautiful and this reminded me
Of her show at Emmanuel Presbyterian Chuch in LA. I would love to know what you think of her technique or how natural her voice is ❤ she has a show that would be amazing if you analyzed live at shepherds bush and the song “horse and I” specifically is really gorgeous 🥺

I would really love to see a reaction to the italian band Matia Bazar with Antonella Ruggerio. she is one of the most amazing singers ever. Maybe cavallo bianco, c'è tutto un mondo intorno. Ti sento is probably the most known tho :D

Thought number 1 - there is something about the guitar and the colour of his voice that instantly made me think of Leonard Cohen.
Thought number 2 - I now really, really want to get to sing alone in a pitch black church one day.
That's it. This is a lot of thoughts for 1 day.

I know you get alot of requests, but PLEASE listen to this one, you won’t regret it!!
It’s “Michael” by Bedlight for Blue Eyes and it’s definitely worth reacting to! It’s the actual recording of the song in the studio. Daniel Rinaldi’s vocals are POWERFUL and moving, and will leave you stunned. I’m not a vocal coach and even i can hear that he’s well trained and has remarkable control over his voice! The song is about Daniel’s older brother who died when they were young.
