I just want to say that the production quality of this video is absolutely amazing. You did a splendid job. Keep up the amazing work, you're doing wonders!
Currently building the lepin one now. Smaller scale than the Porsche/Bugatti but excellent build so far (some complicated joinery needing some partial disassembly and loose pieces left on for many steps, but manageable for intermediate builders). You can buy it on wish or eBay.

The spoilers on the real Porsche 911 are fixed. I do think the mechanism of the Chiron is very sophisticated but I would have given the Porsche the point because it is how it is and doesn’t require an awkward key to operate.
Will, the price is a crucial factor for the amount of parts is dictated by it. There is a reason why Real Madrid is more successful than Leicester city.
As display models, I honestly really like both. Both have great shaping, have nice colours, and look *VERY* accurate. As Technic sets that are supposed to mix form and function, they both suck really *bad.* The functions are slightly better on the Bugatti, but that suspension problem is such a huge oversight. I feel like Bugatti just wins by default for having slight better working functions overall. However they are both clearly made for display first.
12171010011010 the only reason it has more functionality is because the Chiron is the newest model and the Porsche was there first that’s why the Porsche doesn’t have a lot of functionality
@@sheepal154 you ignore the fact that there are plenty of other lego technic supercars, such as the 8070, that offer plenty of functions, and even motorized...
D. Mickeleit and you’ve ignored the fact that the 8070 isn’t based on a specific replica whereas the Porsche and Bugatti are, and another thing is that LEGO were trying to achieve the functions that the real cars had too (apart from the transmission) and both of the models aren’t really designed for a motorisation but for display purposes.
Of course the Chiron is more advanced, the Porsche was thier first and a fantastic model but could have been a lot better. These cars are just going to get better and better. Well done Lego. Love that blue though!!!!!
Hi Christian I disagree. Lego technic is getting worse (in my opinion), have you looked at the new 2019 Porsche 911 RSR? Smaller, badly packaged, less advanced and with more stickers. The Chiron and the GT3 are the best ones. More complicated than that: McLaren P1 from Bruno Jensen (but it will cost you +800 EUR).
I think I in the second challenge Porsche GT 3 RS wins because from Porsche wants everyone to learn something for the model and for the history of Porsche
I feel like it’s hard to argue which is better. You have to remember that LEGO learned from any mistakes in the Porsche, and they probably had a bigger budget to design the car. Bugatti is probably also more “defense” about their image and wants it to be as close as possible. I think it’s an unfair comparison because they’re just too different. And the color one I believe shouldn’t have been worth a point because they’re both in stock colors. The interiors should’ve been a draw. The engines should’ve also been a draw because the Porsche’s is more realistic.
Sariel's LEGO® Workshop no disrespect but you aren’t meant to see the pistons in a car really, they need to be covered for the fuel and air mixture to take place. Porsche’s engine is realistic with correctly arranged pistons, many many realistic details, and you can still remove the bodywork and frame to see the engine again. With the Chiron, there’s barely any details and it’s not even a proper W16. Porsche’s engine is a lot better
i personally dislike the Chiron but the Chiron is newer than the Porsche so you have to consider that as well. the Porsche's parts might not be as complicated because the design team probably only had so much to work with. Another thing is that in real life, the Porsche is a more track ready car, so the design team also might have been following that.
Indeed. Interiors are both similar to real life models so that comparison isnt exactly fair. And chiron has 1000 more pieces which is a big advantage. And he didnt say anything about the price. And porsche has only 1 new piece
I’m excited to get the Chiron. I loved the Porsche build and I have o my Expected the Chiron build to be more complex since Lego seems to always be advancing. So I have no bad feelings toward my Porsche build. Improvements are to be expected over time and we have obviously seen that here.

How challenging (and hours) is a build like this for a grown man? Never had technic LEGO but played with normal LEGO all my youth. This things make me want to go back in time :)
Bambeakz I recently built the Chiron. It took me 3 days to build, building perhaps for 2-3 hours every day. No part of it was really challenging but you do have to be vigilant in making sure you are following the instructions perfectly as a small mistake could get buried under hours of subsequent building before you realize.
Thumbs up again Sariel. One comment, which is relevant for the community (although I understand you are reviewing here the TLG versions) is that the state of the art version of the porsche is the "pimp up my porsche", which contains numerous fixes and improvements in almost all aspecs that the lego community introduced. Although I agree that the boxed version of Bugatti stands superior, the modded version of porsche right now is clearly better. It will take at least one to two years for the community to improve it and make all that info accessible to the average user. Saying this it would be lovely, if you could take the time to review all the wonderful work that didimos, jb70 and all others put in the "pimped up" version. Many thanks again!
It's easy choice for me coz the Porsche one is sold out almost everywhere, and it's usually over 400 dollars when found one. But the Bugatti is only around 350$ in the official online store. So Bugatti for me😂😂
search youtube for a vid on improving shock absorber suspension. You add a yellow circle shim to the springs -- it reduces range of motion (not a problem with the Chiron) but adds more strength. I believe the build finishes with 4 spare yellow shims anyways, so i've done this with the front tires.
I love your videos and they are always in depth and comprehensive but some features are limited to Porsche being the 1st model of this type vs the 2nd model. Some aspects are related to the real cars, as Porsche’s signature color is ‘lava orange’ and therefore the color was closely matched for the LEGO version, as is the different blues on the Bugatti. Along with the wing, the real Porsche’s wing is fixed on the real model as the Bugatti’s moves on the real life Chiron. The Porsche’s has a flat 6 like the real one and no flat engines are very visible to begin with. Along with the piece count and prices allow for more detail on the varying models. In conclusion, the sets are built to directly compare to their real life comparisons and are amazing independent from each other and in my opinion shouldn’t be very comparable. But as always this was a great video and owning the Porsche myself, allowed me to feel the stunning aspects of the Bugatti. ps - I was able to motorized my Porsche by removing the engine and it still has its original look minus the engine : )
Just finished completing the Porsche which I got as a Christmas present and I'm very impressed with the model; sure enough, I do agree with the verdict and I do actually prefer the Bugatti more, but the Porsche we managed to get for around for half the price at 135 UK pounds. I am fully aware of the Porsche's flaws and what its shortcomings are, but the saving and price difference was just too hard to ignore, even though the Bugatti has been getting prices cuts lately as well. Even so, the Porsche is my biggest and most complex Lego set I've ever built to date; my last large model was the Lego Racers BMW Williams F1 car back in 2002 which I still have.
I do love the Chiron’s rear end however the front part especially the top of it was quiet disappointing as there are lots of gaps in them. The Porsche also has few gaps which could’ve been improved
I have almost no experience building legos, but I'm really interested in these sets. Do you think it would be possible to build one of these with no experience?
Sariel's LEGO® Workshop Thanks for the reply. I think I'll probably start with the Porsche or something more basic. I don't want to mess up an expensive model.
Perfect video! love the bagatti chiron amazing build missed out on the Porsche but great to see them compared in such a way.👍🙂

I prefer porsche's engine because it's a lot more realistic despite its visibility and crankshaft simplicity. Bugatti's w16 is totally faked and much less detailed.
Yes, really. Bugatti is a big 1:8 scale car with 4000 pieces and 42098 is a medium-sized truck that has maybe 2000 pieces minus the included car. It's more likely to fit the 42098 inside the Bugatti.
I'm getting the Chiron asap. I know many of you will scream at me but I won't open it. Ill leave it for my son's 12 or 14 bday so it's in 10 years and he won't even know she exists. Now will I resist the temptation? Hmmm il put it in a very hard to open super strong glued wood box then :D
Love the look of both. The chiron is on my birthday list for next month. Was hard to choose between the Chiron and rough terrain crane but I think the transmission and the fact that the chiron will match my porsche got it across the line
the gear box, The Porsche wins. , its gear box is more realistic to an actual gear box its had D, N, R on it as stickers but the Chiron doesnt plus its side pedals (idk how u call them) Are more realistic then big blocks of plastic behind the wheel. And the Porsche is more older so you cant expect it to have the best stuff. So but this is my opinion and i think its important you add it in there so ppl out of no where com to say its not true when you told us what you think. I got to say i like ur vid cuz its organised. You iserve my sub + Like
The Bugatti is made for comfort and racing as that’s the reason the real model has a sports mode to make the suspension more responsive and more. This model (in terms of the two modes) is in the cruise mode being that the suspension isn’t really responsive.
I think removing the engine from the Bugatti and placing the battery box and motor there then using system bricks to build something that resembles the top of the engine to cover them up would work since on the actual car you don't really see the cylinder heads
i am always wondering why it is called technic this is CREATORS NOT TECHNIC >.> also a lot of points porsche did way better but you say buggati ... are you a bit to much fanboy in this video?
The problem is for Technic nearly 0 function so no TECHNIC for Creators to ugly ... so WHY IS IT TECHNIC the should made it for creators would look better and be better ....
I see what you are saying, this set tries to be a detailed creator display set and also a functional Technic set but doesn’t really succeed that well at either. Lego should really decide if they want to make a creator set or Technic set rather than something that tries to be both.
Mr Doofa i personaly would love more a new genere Creatic or something technic and creator ... and what i hate most is that the say its a w16 in this car BUT IT ISN'T
After filming a full-size and working Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron with over 1 million pieces I have a new love and appreciation for Lego. 911 looks sexy, Chiron too.
I think the Bugatti needs to lose a point due to not addressing the binding drive shaft when the car is run through a turn for too long. they needed to at least fit the white clutch gear between the front and rear axles to allow slip.(I know it has this gear, but its between the transmission and drive shaft, not between the wheels).
Category 13: Paving the Way -- I suspect that if the Porsche 911 GR3 RS had not been successful for LEGO, there never would have been a Bugatti Chiron. It's much easier to improve on an idea the second time around than it is to be successful the first time out of the gate. Winner: Porsche
I new exactly who would win in each Categories right from the start... It was soooo obvious that the chiron would win and most of the categories are just screaming "YEAH THATS BUGGATI'S POINT" I would have given the spoiler Point to the Porsche and the Draw (Wheels) was also clearly a point for the GT3 RS just because its more Universal... Sariel i Really like you but you can't tell me that the chiron gets a draw because the rims are blue and it has brake calibers ...
The Bugatti. It's a bit less flimsy, you can see the engine, has 8 speeds and from a building perspective it feels as an updated version of the Porsche. I have them both and if I could only have one of them it would be no question. Of course if you prefer the looks of the Porsche it's not a bad choice either.
i have both sets and i agree with Sariel, although i think the front looks better on the Porsche than the Bugatti, but the back looks way better on the Bugatti than the Porsche since its super detailed!
I just want to say that the production quality of this video is absolutely amazing. You did a splendid job. Keep up the amazing work, you're doing wonders!

Really? Could you show me a side by side comparison?
Yes, really. Bugatti is a big 1:8 scale car with 4000 pieces and 42098 is a medium-sized truck that has maybe 2000 pieces minus the included car. It's more likely to fit the 42098 inside the Bugatti.

the gear box, The Porsche wins. , its gear box is more realistic to an actual gear box its had D, N, R on it as stickers but the Chiron doesnt plus its side pedals (idk how u call them) Are more realistic then big blocks of plastic behind the wheel. And the Porsche is more older so you cant expect it to have the best stuff. So but this is my opinion and i think its important you add it in there so ppl out of no where com to say its not true when you told us what you think. I got to say i like ur vid cuz its organised. You iserve my sub + Like
Also: Porsche's transmission has speeds in wrong order.
Lego made a mistake in the instructions, gears organised the wrong way around, switch the gears around and it shifts in the correct order
I like the option mod that with a few tricks, that complete body of the Porsche comes lose..., that can not be done with the Bugatti.
19:34 NO ! not eat !!!
The Bugatti is made for comfort and racing as that’s the reason the real model has a sports mode to make the suspension more responsive and more. This model (in terms of the two modes) is in the cruise mode being that the suspension isn’t really responsive.
Bugatti!
I think removing the engine from the Bugatti and placing the battery box and motor there then using system bricks to build something that resembles the top of the engine to cover them up would work since on the actual car you don't really see the cylinder heads
i am always wondering why it is called technic this is CREATORS NOT TECHNIC >.>
also a lot of points porsche did way better but you say buggati ... are you a bit to much fanboy in this video?
Niemand These aren’t creator sets, they are built from 99% Technic parts.
Mr Doofa i personaly would love more a new genere Creatic or something technic and creator ... and what i hate most is that the say its a w16 in this car BUT IT ISN'T
no it is technic cuz creators are 3in1 models while bugatti and porsche are only 1
After filming a full-size and working Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron with over 1 million pieces I have a new love and appreciation for Lego. 911 looks sexy, Chiron too.
I like bugatti
Then porsche
I have chiron but stay in the box ... no idea when I am going to do it :)
I have both hey I wish they make a murcielago like to agree? Aim for 3 likes!
Yeah but I think an aventador would be easier in lego, as there's more sharp angles. However, I'd love to see one of the gt1-spec murcielagos in lego.
Yeah I wish LEGO do more branded liscensed vehicle products
I think the Bugatti needs to lose a point due to not addressing the binding drive shaft when the car is run through a turn for too long. they needed to at least fit the white clutch gear between the front and rear axles to allow slip.(I know it has this gear, but its between the transmission and drive shaft, not between the wheels).
Twój kanał jest bardzo fajny 👍🏼Łapka do góry😊

Just got the Porsche with the double vip points this weekend, will probably pick up the Bugatti on either Black Friday or Cyber Monday 😁
Can anyone recommend which of the two to purchase based off owning one yourself? Currently there's a 130 pound difference in the UK.
Did you try watching this video? It kind of answers your question.
I did but there is pros and cons for both cars; I presume at the end of the day its down to looks, and in my case the price.
I like the Bugatti more
Abdulaziz Achmat is true the buggati
I can't choose! These are two of my favorites Lego constructions

I 🎀🎀♥️♥️♥️PORSCHE
Gt3 Rs is personally my favorite I feel like they got all of the angles right whereas the chitons back end looks a little off
I live bugatti chiron
minecraft beta You live in a Chiron? God damn
I new exactly who would win in each Categories right from the start...
It was soooo obvious that the chiron would win and most of the categories are just screaming "YEAH THATS BUGGATI'S POINT"
I would have given the spoiler Point to the Porsche and the Draw (Wheels) was also clearly a point for the GT3 RS just because its more Universal...
Sariel i Really like you but you can't tell me that the chiron gets a draw because the rims are blue and it has brake calibers ...
hey,.,. what is the background music? :3
I have the PORSCHE and the transmition have a problem
The Bugatti. It's a bit less flimsy, you can see the engine, has 8 speeds and from a building perspective it feels as an updated version of the Porsche. I have them both and if I could only have one of them it would be no question. Of course if you prefer the looks of the Porsche it's not a bad choice either.
They are both very good
0:24 I hate that part of the bugatti chiron at the top right next to the front window
Did you forgot which has the point for the wheels?
It was a draw.
i have both sets and i agree with Sariel, although i think the front looks better on the Porsche than the Bugatti, but the back looks way better on the Bugatti than the Porsche since its super detailed!
One question - why you did not ask the designer about the suspension? I was so disappointed, when you did not do it...
Because the suspension works, I just built it a bit wrong in my review but corrected it here.
