- In today's episode of Exploring Milwaukee, we explore riding The Hop around the downtown. It's a free service that takes you from the Milwaukee Intermodal Station to Burns Common on Prospect and Ogden. I hop on and off (see what I did there!) at certain stops to see what's around! It's a fun little tour around the city and another example of how to get around Downtown Milwaukee without a car!

It’s a beautiful train! I just hope people take care of it to keep it free, not trash it.
It's been running for a few years now so it looks like the riders take care of it. A hidden gem in the city for sure!
Love this series!
Thank you! Hoping to add a couple more videos this fall
Checking out the hank aron trail would be cool
I have only ever done that on a bike, but I will definitely take a look into that. Thank you for the suggestion!
Jazz in The Park and Bastille Days takes place in Cathedral Square area, the area will be pretty busy then.
Such amazing events! It will definitely be packed
I'd like to see this line extended to the Milwaukee County Stadium.
Oh man..... you're taking me WAY back! But yeah, that would be amazing
@@hangingwithbill I know back to 1958 when the streetcars ran their last day on Sunday March 2nd 1958.
Cool! Didn’t know The Hop even existed!
It's a nice little way to get around! I may even have a pro-tip for you ;) lol
@@hangingwithbill send over the pro tip! Lol. I can see it being a fun thing to do with my wife and daughter
I call it a train too, but most people call it a street car!?
Oh yeah.... it's a streetcar! My head was apparently in the clouds 🤣
I walked from Brady to 3rd ward for my job. Wasn't a long walk at all.
That's still a nice hike though
