      Sounds good, remember to check them on the ground, not up in the air with the suspension hanging

      A shop was gonna sell this customer front struts and springs and the strut mounts..well over 1,000.00 dollars and the sound would of still been there and of course you can't get your money back from a bad diagnosis...

    Thanks bro. I've been working on my suspension and couldn't figure out where that sound came from. I changed all my sway bars and still heard it but they had no play in them because I had the car lifted. Once I got home I realized my right front sway bar wasn't entirely bolted on. thank you so much. I happen to have a 2013 Honda Civic. i started hearing a noise recently but then it went away. I just heard it again today on way to the store, but then noise went away again. I have to drive over a lot of speed bumps going into/out of work now each day. and i am wondering if that has contributed to it wearing out. I try to drive slow but I always have multiple cars behind me pushing me drive faster over the bumps. I will have to take this to local mechanic to take a look at the car. Thanks.

    • @alyoungcuda

      Noises don't go away and then come back. Most likely a shop will sell you struts.

    I changed the sway bar links on my civic 10 gen but the noise is still there on uneven surfaces. Plus, there is banging/clunky noise when going swiftly over huge bumps. My mechanic suggested to replace front shocks.

    • @alyoungcuda
      @alyoungcuda  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You're missing a few other things to check, the sway bar bushings, struts and strut mounts..and of course the control arm bushings and ball joints..you need to find the culprit or You're just guessing at the noises..find the smoking gun...

    currently having this issue when i hit a small bump, sounds like a crackling noise like something needs lubricant, i took it to honda and they told me everything was fine, i noticed when i accelerate it does that noise too, also when i accelerate slow it does no noise at all, its random its driving me crazy specially since im still paying for my 2020 Civic, I will def check this out...

    • @alyoungcuda
      @alyoungcuda  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The trick to checking noises is sometimes flat on the ground like the way it sits and drives. When you lift a car up, all the wheels,suspension, steering components all hang and pulls down from gravity and that is why all noises seem to not be there. Good luck on yours...

    • @alyoungcuda
      @alyoungcuda  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I changed out the left and right sway bar links..those are the ones that attach to the ends of the swaybar to the struts..when you changed the struts, did you change the strut mounts that are on top of the strut, its the ones with the 3 nuts attached to the shock tower

    • @alyoungcuda
      @alyoungcuda  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are 2 bushings in the middle of that sway bar..did you check those for play? Are you sure the strut mounts on top are not your noise and who did the links and what brand? You should take a peek yourself if a shop replaced them.
