      I have a Norwegian M1774 musket, it has an excellent trigger. It is actually better than the trigger on my Mauser Kar98, and the Mauser has a really good trigger.
      It is impressive that a 248 year old gun has such a good trigger. It has a single stage trigger, very light and soft trigger pull.

    Given that I already ran an adblocker it seems high tide I support you, as you well deserve.
    Regarding the changes on youtube just a slight correction: Restricted mode has nothing to do with advertisement. It's mostly meant for children and school networks. But a lot of gun-content was tagged as "non-advertiser friendly", which led to the decrease in ad-revenue. But I recommend checking the next few months, how the ad revenue behaves. I'm honestly expecting it to normalise soon. TH-cam has no interest in losing money, they are just having a knee-jerk reaction to the current backlash from in mainstream media...

I get the impression from your videos that you and your fellow shooters are getting greater accuracy and range than those posting about contemporary flintlock rifles from the UK and America. Wonderful video mate and amazing to see the old girl in action. I will be keeping an eye out for one at auction now to add to my collection.
    I have a beautiful condition Prussian Model 1834 Jäegerbüchse which was converted to percussion from an earlier Model 1810 Jäegerbüchse. It looks a lot bigger and heavier than your little lady, and I would love to see how she fires but I live in the UK so she just has to sit on the wall as I dont have a gun license.

      @sandmanhh67 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Id love to see you do a vid on it mate as I would love to see one in action. I have to say its one of my favorite guns in my collection.
      I have a couple of Prussian muskets so access to a flintlock isnt a problem, but it wouldnt feel right reconverting the old girl...I like the fact she has a history to her, complete with the unit stamps on the butt and various armory marks on the barrel and conversion date on the brass screwplate opposite the lock. I also love the swan neck safety arm on the percussion lock that covers the nipple. Simple and effective.
      Im trying to find a sword bayonet for it now, but they are pretty rare over here in the UK. I keep an eye on the auction house in Germany I bought it from but no luck so far.....
      Keep up the great work mate and hammer on through this TH-cam stupidity. Yours is one of my favorite gun history channels, and my mates in the Napoleonic tabletop wargaming community love your videos on Napoleonic guns and tactics, especially the AustroHungarian Empire vids.

    • @capandball
      @capandball  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The reconversion was easy, and I did not have to modify anything on the rifle. There was a drum screwed into the barrel. I just had to unscrew it and make a flash hole insert. And as I have a complete percussion and flintlock I can re-reconvert it anytime :)

      That is an option a well, but full30 is still quite small, and being a gun related platform does not allow you to reach out for non shooters. But maybe in the future...

      And maybe do more feature full content on full30 and redirect the audience from youtube there.

      You have to be invited onto full 30 to become an uploader.
      Thats changing this year some time, but since it's beginning, you have had to of been invited to become a partner, for several very good reasons, but it is changing soon.

    If I have to choose an Austrian musket, which should one choose ? The 1798 infantry musket or 1796 jaeger musket (the musket currently showing).

      Jäger troops are somewhat the "specialists" of their time. As such they received better gear and training as regular infantry. Hence Jäger rifles are almost always superior to their standard musket counterpart.
