- In this video im going to teach you a beginner friendly method on how to 3d model anything on blender. we will specifically learn how to 3d model this Y2K nokia phone. We also use adobe illustrator at the very beginning of the tutorial in order to assist us with this process.

This is a realllllllllllllly genius way of creating objects without having to model. I've used this method for letters but never thought of creating objects this way. Mind blown. Great tutorial!!!

when I render my image the background that is seen is the one of the HDRI image, and not the background image that I chose. Do you know what could be the problem?
You have to make sure you imported your “ image as a plane “ if you import it as as a “reference” or “background” it will not show up when you render.
when I extrude the buttons, why don't my letters and number move with the buttons?
Because you have to extrude the letters and number aswell or just move them up to make them visible , since you’re adding depth to the buttons this you must adjust everything else too .

If you didnt know, you can add a reference pic by shift clicking A, go to image and then reference. You wont have to switch to render mode to see the pic.

Though rn I am having a problem at the remesh part - I just never get my mesh to look like yours at 10:51 :(
Generally it looks all weird and wonky when I use the inflate and smooth tool, but idk what I´m doihng wrong :,(
the numbers are arbitrary for the remesh pick a number that works for you , make sure you "apply" the mesh
