One small tip that could speed up your process a tad!! If you draw your font on plain paper with no lines, when you upload it to illustrator you can “image trace” and “expand,” instead of using the pen tool to trace the letters. I love your channel and your tutorials, thank you sm!
true but if you trace it yourself with the pen tool I find it easier to manipulate the shapes, image trace usually results in a ton of anchor points with very short handles, so if you want to change a big curve for example, you may end up deleting a bunch of anchors and making a new one with long handles to achieve an even curve
This is friggin awesome! In case anyone was wondering about the 'r x 90' bit, it just means rotate/on the x-axis/90-degrees. Seems obvious but it's something that would go over my head if I wasn't too familiar with 3d software.

This was so helpful! I have been trying to get into blender for months and this was so simple to understand! Can you post a video talking about how to export animations on a transparent background???
I was desperately looking any tutorials forming a text into water droplets in Blender and you were the only one with exactly I was looking for. Thank you sooooo much for this tutorial. I really didn't know to use the sculpting option in Blender. So helpful! Thanks and greetings from Berlin! 🙏🙏🙏
Thank - you !! And most of my textures are created by just making the material reflective and using an interesting hdri :-) will release an intra hdri pack soon
This tutorial is insane, thank you for making it! I'm new to blender and was just wondering about the step at 5:28 how you 'imported the sculpt, thank you!
Thank you for this! I'm having some trouble with applying the remesh modifier. The vertices aren't showing up as cubes, just horizontal lines? And then when I try to sculpt a letter smooth, it disappears. Just wondering how I can fix this, thanks! :)
Great tutorial. Exactly what I need but I have noticed one thing. After rescaling svg to final size, the general scale need to be applied "ctrl + A" and scale . If not the remesh modifier will not work properly and strange shit happens.
I'm so glad I found this tutorial. Thank you so much for creating it! I am stuck and confused about something - I think I have followed everything to the T but for some reason my letters are staying like a Matt surface even with the metallic turned all the way up and everything you said to do but for some reason I am not achieving that shiny, glossed, metallic look. Any ideas as to why this would be happening? Anyone?
