Very smart and detailed restoration adding a careful layer of modern materials and solutions to the oodles of traditional charm of the house! I'd be very interested in knowing what architect they worked with! 🙏
All the terraces in various directions and levels for every time of day in gravel, stone and natural stone mosaics, and the views and touch of drama of the terrain is phenomenal, all the olives and that large pool to boot makes this property really special!
I'm surprized it didn't sell within weeks of this video being posted. Assuming it's down to travel restrictions delaying actual viewings.
It's a wonderful home and I like the fact that there are italian neighbors nearby, yet loads of privacy surrounding the house.
    👌❤️
Are you planning to show some properties in Puglia as well?
I did see one video, (I think)?
Is Puglia where all the Trullo houses are located? Years ago there where alot of those for sale, but I think there were some big companies buying and converting them en masse to luxury vacation homes which heavily influenced the market (am I correct in that assessment?)
Enjoyed this alot a year later. Love your tours ❤️

This property, house is interesting. Nooks , stairs, doorways, ups and downs. I researched a bit on how they built those tall walls, originally. Walls so thick, the masons, er, stoneworkers possibly walked up as they built. Could find nothing on scaffolding in pictures.
I will continue on that quest…..or I will crack on. Thanks Nick…..Hey, maybe drive us through one of the villages. Thanks. 🇺🇸

Hey Mr. Nick!! Out of curiosity, may I ask how long it took you to learn Italian well enough to be conversant in it and in order to hold employment? I have a fair knowledge of Spanish so I can sorta kinda make out some translations, but of course, I know the languages are different. I would imagine one would need a decent command of the language to be functional as a transplant to a country that is not your birth country. As to the house, the terraces outside of the kitchen are quite inviting. I'm imagining a cool glass of Pinot Grigio and some formaggio and bruschetta going on with a bit of Dean Martin and Ella Fitzgerald in the background. Dang, you are making me want to start packing. Do homeowners hire people to harvest their olives from the trees? I'd imagine that would be a huge undertaking. No lock-up and leave for me; this is a fantastic house at a good price. The upstairs bedroom would make a great quilting studio. Beautiful house; another hit out of the ball park, Nick!!

    • @italianproperty

Hi Mary, I love your comments. Speaking Italian, umm, it's work in progress! I do my very best and I'm still learning but I make mistakes all the time, which is kind of fun, or a problem, depending on who you're talking to. It's a great language and if you can speak some Spanish you will be able to speak Italian. Have a great weekend. Nick.

A really nice house on a very human scale compared to some of the breathtakingly magnificent places you have shown us.
I'm still adjusting to one major difference between many Italian (particularly historic) vs. North American properties though.
Whereas I am used to there generally being a singular identifiable "front" door in houses here (which is immediately visible from the road or driveway) most of your Italian locations seem to have multiple entrance/exits (often from various outside areas, levels, and directions) none of which appear to clearly be the primary door for guests to arrive at. It feels as though a visitor might suddenly appear, knocking on any one of a selection of entrances on various sides and levels of the homes. I don' t suggest that either approach (no pun intended) is preferable, just indicative of very different lifestyles and histories.
I do have one however regarding this specific tour. Where does the little, angle topped door at the far end of the 'mezzanine/balcony' in the master bedroom lead. I figured it must be to some unfinished attic space or other basic storage, but much like my cat... I obsess about what is behind closed doors.

    • @italianproperty
      @italianproperty  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi MJ, Thank you for your comment. Most, if not all, of these old stone farmhouses and buildings had animals or workshops on the ground floor. That is why there are so many doors. The mezzanine/balcony is a storage space. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Nick.
