    If you configure the top handle "sideways" you can use it as a left side handle. Fits perfectly.

      @@ryt-is Thanks, I just figured out while re-watching your video 🙂 I think that that's the point with the "sideways-handling" and I'm surprised Smallrig hasn't mentioned it (maybe it's because they want people to buy their actual side handles) and that no reviewer has noticed it 🙂

    Great review! You covered its features well and you did it better than many other videos.
    I have the PD Clutch and it works well with the little bar att the bottom. The Clutch's clip scratches against the metal though and it makes it hard for the camera to stand alone. Maybe it works better with Smallrig's own hand strap, I haven't tested that.
    Also too bad you didn't mention the QD port in the bottom plate. There are some excellent camera straps you can use with that port.

    Nice video. Comprehensive. Very helpful. I have liked this cage and actually just ordered one but I was glad to hear you talk about it to see how you use it. The only downside I see is that I really like to use the spider holster pro plate on the bottom and that would negate the arca Swiss adaptability of the bottom.

    I have a GH6 with a black mamba cage and I like it very much but unfortunately you cannot attach the XLR adapter when the handle is in place.

    yea man I picked up that same cage for the X. Was a little worried about coverage because my old cage on my S1 wrapped more around the camera.

    You know what I like to do with cable cramps is clamp in a little 90° adapter. Then I can still easily plug my cable in and it also doesn't stick out.

    • @ryt-is
      @ryt-is  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a great idea. I have a SmallRig Micro HDMI to full HDMI adapter on my Mk I cine rig, which sorta does the same thing but still sticks out. If you find some good quality 90 degree adapters, that can support 4k60, let me know.
      For Mk II, I really love HDMI that angles up from Alvin’s Cables, that’s probably why I didn’t get much use from the cable clamp in the first place

    Great review, looking at picking this up in January. Seems like a no-brainer to buy a nato rail for the top handle, for quick-release?

    • @ryt-is
      @ryt-is  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! That's actually exactly what I did. Mamba top handle, while comfy, is still quite tedious to put on. You have two options for the nato rail: the taller one with ARRI screw, and a smaller one with two standard screws. I chose the latter, as I found the ARRI version a bit too tall for my liking.

    I had the other small rig cage and I loved it but returned it because I couldn't take it off my DJI RS2 quick release the bottom of cage blocked me from taking it off.
    (I did not want to take the whole Manfrotto plate off the gimbal just the end with the arca swiss)
    I feel like this is also having that problem, but I can't really tell.
    Have you had any issues?

    • @ryt-is
      @ryt-is  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it is not possible to take off the camera and leave the Manfrotto plate attached to the gimbal. But I don't find this an issue. When out filming with a gimbal, I leave the Manfrotto plate on the camera, and it acts as a convenient grip when shooting handheld. Yes the gimbal needs a bit of balancing after attaching the camera, but it slides on very easily, and the linear gear makes it very quick to balance.

      @@ryt-is fair enough I just like to go from gimbal to tripod quick and it's solved by just getting a smaller arca swiss to screw on bottom was trying to avoid that.
      Appreciate the help!

    Why is tyhe Black Mamba better than the classic one?

    • @ryt-is
      @ryt-is  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you mean the 4022 cage, it goes over the buttons. Black Mamba does not cover the buttons

    Sveikas, o kokios kitos kokybiškos pigesnės šio narvo alternatyvos?

    • @ryt-is
      @ryt-is  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      SmallRig 4022 Vokiškam Amazone už 85 eurus. Visi narvai rinkoj apie 100-200 eurų, siūlau nepataupyt ir rinktis pagal poreikius. Black Mamba geras tuo, kad neuždengia mygtukų, tai jei neplanuoji dėti dešinės rankenos, ar daryti sunkaus rigo, tai kol kas geriausias pasirinkimas rinkoj.

      @@paravisual Ačiū! SmallRig irgi turi SSD laikiklių. Man asmeniškai įrašinėjimas į SSD neprilipo. ProRes užima per daug vietos, o visą kitą galima į kortelę įrašinėt. Su SSD visad yra rizika, kad USB atsijungs užkabinus.

    I was considering the Black Mamba cage but the cage getting flexed while picking up using the top handle made me concerned. Now I am in double mind.

    • @ryt-is
      @ryt-is  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s honestly not that bad. Only happens when attached to the tripod, which is like 5kg. Otherwise if it’s just rigged out, you shouldn’t notice the flex

      @@ryt-is I want to make a rig which will weight around 10kg with a 420 wh battery and a heavy zoom cine lens. Do you think this will be able to hold it up or I need a stronger cage such as kondor blue or 8sinn?

    • @ryt-is
      @ryt-is  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@anneallison6402 I would be wary about 10 kg, probably not something I would recommend. I have Nitze TP-LS5 for my cine rig, and it easily holds up 9 kg, but that only fits S5 Mk I. That Kondor Blue looks like a beast though, I'd probably go with that. Also consider how reachable the record button will be with a cage, 8Sinns looks a bit cramped from the photos. Either way, consider a side handle with a record button, I have SmallRig 3323 and it's been great.
      Make a video about your rig when you're done, eager to see that :)
