Sorry, me old Mukka I have but a few questions..Honest questions me lud ....... 1; Why do you need to purge a tig welded pipe but no one does with MIG or arc .....I love Mrs. Tiggy Winkle she is soooo controllable! 2; Why grind, those welds were ok .. however, I prefer the weld and grind cause it makes me look awesome ..... u on the other hand: ARE pretty good in the clutches of old Dame Tig Winkle 3rd and final question; the green box of Jaffa cakes are they Zero calories?
No worries dude 😁 I purge the tubes to stop the back side of the weld from oxidising. I've never mig welded stainless, but there won't be any gas on the backside of the weld as it all comes through the torch. If I was to have a go at it, I'd still purge it. My Tig welds aren't the best as I just don't do it often enough. It's alright, but not great so I tend to grind them down. A smooth exhaust pipe always looks best in my book anyways, it just takes a lot longerer to do. The cookies are chocolate chip, a gift from Bernard when he came came down to borrow the Boxford manual, and they're definitely full fat 🤣😂
Every time I watch one of your videos I think "That subframe brace should run from lower on the frame to further back on the seat rails.". Doubtless it will be fine, but it just looks wrong to me, like the seat rail will bend. Not that my opinion matters, I'm not building it. 😊 Perhaps I'll feel better about it when the seat is fitted.
Regarding the bracket, for some reason I keep thinking that a small spring sleeved in black or left plain, would look neater and easier for putting exhaust on. But looking at it as I type this, perhaps if you could of put a indent, similar to the brake lever or even a cutout like the rest of the rear set. But its your bike and design so I like it anyway. Is there a PO Box or your unit address to post things to you? Nothing special or expensive 😄but might be useful.
Tis all done and dusted now matey. I could cut the welds off, but there's little point. You can reach me via email at simon-quick@hotmail.com for a natter if needed 😁👍
@@QuickBikes Yeah I know what you mean, wish I'd thought of it earlier😀 As the saying goes it would be piss boring if we all thought the same. Thanks for the address I'll be in touch.
Should be alright I reckon, though you could be right... I have size 11's and ride on the balls of my feet, and my heels clear, but may not be great for bigger flat footed folks 😁
@@QuickBikes When I'm moving I ride on the balls of my feet but in traffic I tend to ride on the arches and use the rear brake a lot. I'm not sure I'd be OK.
It does matey, longer than you'd think, but I always reckon a smooth exhaust is better than one that's left with welds on show. It just looks cleaner in my book 😁👍
In the year 2025,asbo was finally finished, And then a new project was born and will be finished when I'm pushing up daisy 's.🤣🤣🤣👍🍺🏍🇬🇧.sorry but hurry up.lol.And dont call me matey, fckin hate it,so you will.😂😂😂😂😂
That was awesome to see that exhaust coming to life, and I think it might hurt a bit giving that beauty away at the end 🙂
It's gonna sting a bit.... I'm putting a lot of work into this, and the more time goes past, the more I want to keep it 😂🤣
