Miso! So much royalty to this dish flavor. You make it look so presentable and delicious. I will enjoy the Miso ice cream some day and your wonderful voice in person. Arigato Shizuka!
always love it when they still make things using the traditional methods, and wow, did not realize you could do miso in so many ways! I do want to taste that miso ice cream 🍦
Imagine being in that area with the 6 tons of miso during an earthquake. Watch for falling rocks! Everything looked delish! Can’t wait to get there, and try some myself!
Shizuka this was very interesting, I’ve had miso soup at Japanese restaurants and it’s one of my favorites. I will have to try other miso related dishes when I come across them.
Loved the whole atmosphere and tradition of miso production using piles of rocks to compress the miso. How very ingenious! Food looked great and Shizuka has the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism for this presentation. Cool! Cool!
That miso sauce must have been absolutely amazing on that katsu. The miso ice cream sounded interesting as well! I never thought that would be a flavour of ice cream!
Thanks for giving me a great time and a lot of information as well same as always!! Recently, I really into eating Miso ramen which is not only place of the Miso but also many places all over Japan like Hokkaido one, Kyushu, Hukushima and Miyagi. So, I’m really happy to watch it with you guys!
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
If I recall, Yuba is actually the skim from the top of heating of soy milk (analagous to scalding cream), not necessarily anything to do with Tōfu... excellent to still see traditional miso production still being done⁉️ I’d like to know how old some of their aged misos are❣️❓I remember old farmers in akita and aomori with their homemade farmhouse miso, sooo delicious and the aroma, much like Hatcho Miso‼️ Actually brought back several large tubs home with me x lasted near on years...
Miso must be different than miso you get in local North American sushi place... Miso for me is salty soup, sometimes with tofu bits or seaweed bits bonus. But, usually salty, murky, watery soup. Shizuka is amazing, she can make drinking tap water seem deliciously exciting experience.
They're the same, there's different types of miso i.e red or white miso. The one in the video is hatcho miso which is a dark red variety. What you're describing is not miso but miso soup which is made from just dissolving miso with hot water and dashi.
I like the black miso... I've never seen anything like that in America... in NewYork City where there might be the second largest Japanese population in the United States... and a lot of Japanese food.
What Hatcho-miso food would you like to try? Let us know!
More food in Canada needs to come on a stick! 🍢😋🤘🇨🇦🤘
All of it
As a foodie one must try them all

Japan is weirdly attracted to crazy ice cream flavors !

There must be an earthquake proof technique to that !
Shizuka this was very interesting, I’ve had miso soup at Japanese restaurants and it’s one of my favorites. I will have to try other miso related dishes when I come across them.
Miso is also one of our favorites since it is not so heavy on the stomach and you can eat it every hour of the day!
So late but happy to be here! Another Shizuka gem vid as always!!!

Miso soup with baby clams is so yummy... Like cooking slow roasted miso salmon.. A recipe I learn during lockdowns 2yr+ ago. 😅
During lockdown miso soup was also our go-to dish!

It is always a blast coming out to different locations to shoot !
It takes 10 years to learn how to correctly place rocks on top of the barrel! Japan is amazing!
The dedication is crazy !

Everything looked so good, but I would really enjoy trying the udon soup! Miso soups are my favorite, and this looked incredible. Wonderful video!
Miso soup is consumable everyday for us! It is so light and easy on the stomach
I didn’t notice that I also opened my mouth when you had your first big bite of that Miso Katsu😂😂😂
Did you have a VR on? :)

Must be tough ...
I’m all MISOED out YUMO!!!! 👍🏻

It actually tastes very similar to unsweetened Chinese tianmianjiang
I would love a video on Inuyama fishing with cormorants. You can see the castle from the river.
Future video ! ;)
You are so so so cute!!!!!! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
I'm impressed that they kept the tradition of stacking stones in the pyramid shape. It must be time consuming.
Thats why only a few people can handle this kind of work ! Takes lots of dedication and practice !
Hii love from india❤
Hi from Tokyo !
Shizukaaaaaaa

Shizuka living life dangerously wearing white on this ep
She’s the professional taster, after all. While us troglodytes need bibs. hah
