Almost all great guitar players can blow minds with specific licks, then they lost their mojo the more you listen to them. Then there's Matteo, it doesn't matter how much I listen to him and see him play he always blows my mind.
His style atually makes more sense tbh I tend to use hybrid picking way more because of him, it feels senseless to only use a pick and waste the other fingers! I am not ready to completely ditch the pick tho
@@LevitoSaro I always play without a pick because I started with the classical guitar and when I first grabbed the electric, I didn't know that I had to use a pick so I played it with fingers. Then I discovered Matteo and I learned his technique, so I never used a pick. But of course I still can't play as good as him, but I'm on my way.
Matteo has always been my favourite guitarist for over 3 years, and I still can't compare him to anyone. He's got incredible technique, great tone, great feel, makes very good music, and he's also such a likable guy, I admire him.
I see him following the tradition of the fusion greats. He draws inspiration from Shawn Lane, Brett Garsed, Frank Gambale, Guthrie Govan. He uses Eric Johnson like aepeggios and he comps like Allan Holdsworth. He's beautifully rounded player with an amazing touch and great sense of melody and plays with great passion
I'm so glad Matteo is getting more exposure on social media channels these days. Apart from his mind-blowing guitar skills, he's also a thoroughly awesome chap with interesting things to say!
Tim Henson and Matteo Mancuso were my biggest inspirations when I picked up the guitar, and even now, when I've heard thousands of other amazing guitarists, these two can consistently put a smile on my face with their playing.
Possibly one of the BEST Andertons videos ever - not only because Matteo's playing was astonishingly brilliant and tasteful but (thankfully) there was no need to spend endless minutes/sections "shredding" with heavy distortion. To be honest, that shreddy stuff bores the pants off me and all the Andertons videos would be much better without it... but I suppose there is an equal quantity of Metal guys and gals who love that stuff... so ... hey ho! Great vid - thanks!
Are makers of guitars and pedals, effects, etc, trying to build what Matteo can hear in his head? is Matteo the force behind better equipment? It just seems to me it would be a wise choice to listen to Matteo and produce new products to fuel his ambitions
Matteo is a wonderful guitarist, and the depth of the Baritone frequency range really changes the guitar experience in a creative, enjoyable way. So far, I haven't been a fan of the Bacci Pickup sound, as it lacks the clarity I like in the Baritone range. There are Pitch Shifting Modeling and Pedal options that can make a Standard tuned guitar sound like a Baritone or 6-string Bass. But, there are compromises as well as benefits, like not having to get another guitar. There's also a way to apply one octave down doubling to just the lower range strings on a Standard Guitar using a Modeler or Pedal like Boss OC-5. Thanks
and.... here we go with the endorsements. The title is disingenuous. It should say "why Matteo Mancuso NOW uses a Bacci Baritone Guitar in ADDITION to his Yamaha Revstar" smh all about DAT MONEY, MANG! Every company and store is stroking Matteo, PLEAAAAASE..... feeding frenzy. I wish great players would thumb their noses at ALL of these offers to advertise for companies.
Yeah, he just transfered it to the electric guitar, that's why everyone thinks it's new. But it's not exactly like flamenco technique, it's a bit different.
Actually it's more a classical style (which he learned from his father at the age of 10). But I doubt that any classical or flamenco guitarist can do what he does at the extent that he does. The point is that this guy can play basically whatever he wants...
This is NOT flamenco technique. MM's right hand technique is UNIQUE IN THE WORLD, and he used it with all the electric guitar techniques, like shred for example, is a mix of flamenco and bass guitar that he INVENTED
With all due respect to Matteo who is an outstanding player....that guitar is ugly as fuck!! And not exactly cheap is it? Well he wont be paying for it of course. Obviously it is always a matter of personal taste....but blamey if its ugly and with that sort of retro feel to it.... I don't get it. I prefer 7 strings anyway but besides that if one is willing to fork that much there is much, much better on offer.... albeit without the Fiorentina! Which I am sure Bruno wouldn't cook for me anyway. Still to everyone their own...I just think its not worth it .
I'm sure that's an amazing baritone guitar- but it's easily the ugliest guitar I've ever looked at. Well- that one Gibson that looks really similar to it- also extremely ugly- I'd say they're equally unsatisfying to look at. Sounds amazing though- for a baritone anyway, usually I don't care for them. The way everyone keeps turning down and going with baritones- in 10 yrs. we'll all be playing bass 6s. Don't you know- djent requires more than 6 strings and a lower tuning- otherwise, you're just playing progressive metal.

Exactly, I discovered him like 3 years ago, and every time I listen to his music or see him play, it still blows my mind.

Personally I don't see what all the hubub is about. Sounds vanilla and generic to me
I love the face of the captain when Matteo is playing 😊

Can listen to Matteo play all day. He is just totally incredible.
I love this guy, he’s phenomenal
I just want him to say it's me, Mario 😐
I listen to many guitarists in my life, lots of them are amazing, but Mateo is out of this world, no one can touch him. A phenomen!

It is bawncy🤌
hes the new goat no questions asked
The intro is so beautiful.
Not I single bass youtube video had me bobbin my head like this guy does with a guitar.
Dang those Bacci are freaking incredible. Just gorgeous instruments.
More baritone guitar videos please!
Just breathtaking to watch AND to hear.
Matteo is the real deal.
SOLD
I love the Lee's faces when Matteo is playing 😂
Great Combination Matteo + Bacci 😍😍
Great idea having a bass pickup! Don't think I've seen that before?
Wow, he can PLAY!
Simply amazing 👍👍
awesome player and instrument
I could really see a utility to that separate bass pickup for getting more definition out of downtuned metal riffs.
that intro part reminds me a lot of Ebon Coast by Andy McKee, great tune
Yes!
Such a great video! What a nice dude - so want a baritone! Cable management needs a look at though aha ;)
His final demo is ridiculous. No one will convince me there's not a bass player hidden somewhere.
TOP NOTCH! TOP NOTCH! - Judge Smails
8:38 into the video fingerpicking 🫠
Dang he's good! Cool guitars too
Love me some baritone
matteo great
che sound della madonna!
Sound Wicked ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Tim Henson seems to me like a robot. MM has heart and soul, not only technique
hes lit the new goat and has barely released anything its crazy

Happy with my Squier FSR Custom Telecaster Baritone...it's what was affordable. BTW Pete...it's purple sparkle ! ☮

I feel like the bass pickup needs a separate tone knob to help it sound more like a bass. Cool concept either way though.
Please name of the intro song!! He also played it at NAMM but i can't seem to find an answer
''Warm Sunset''. He said it at 12:26.
Amazing player. Nice guitar. Terrifying price. 😵
Wow, now Matteo can play some Carcass!
Is that red ES-330 on the wall for sale?
That guitar is one we have on display in our video studio, but it's a Heritage like this one - tinyurl.com/tfacx6s4
I like MM BECAUSE he dislike crap dumb metal
Vai Teo!!!@!🎉
whenever i saw a Baritone
always search some bro on comment who said "BUT DOES IT DJENT?"
does it?
After watching this video, I've decided to quit guitar. I only thought I could play guitar, but I was WRONG. Thanks alot Lee.😑
😅
Nah, just practice your ass off and you can become really good. Trust me bro😉.

I use a Boss ME-50 pedal board, and it can apply an octave down or an octave up. So I can easily turn my guitar into a bass.
Didn’t expect this crossover 😱
Wasn't he endorsing Yamaha?
He’s still endorsing Yamaha - the Bacci is a very different beast, so there’s no real conflict to endorse both models
@@andertons that's lovely 😍
They got me lost after 5 minuites or so...can't play like that, got looking at their shoes..need new ones...heck...their beautifull!! 😁🤣
😘
Hate you for reviving my GAS 😅 and making it impossible to do actual work while listening to the interview. Awesome playing though.
But the body shape....only the guitar's mother could love that.
did he just... pinch harmonic with his finger 8:37
Yeah, I think he slightly touches the string with his index finger and plays it with his ring finger.
It’s how bass players usually do it when they play finger stile. Check how Jaco play them on Bird land by Weather Report.

He played a Yamaha for the longest time. Bacci is a good fit for him. They're pricey as hell though.
I think he still plays Yamaha regular guitars but he plays Bacci baritone's too...
I suck 😅
Jk...
Wish I had patented my shape almost exactly like that one😢

Im still amazed about how people think this is a new technique when flamenco guitarists have been doing it since forever

Yamaha rested on his laurels
Sound good but jamal milner and tim Reynolds does that stuff frighteningly great
Don’t tell me about life
I guess they went shoe shopping together.
The problem with this guy is that he is trying to get rid of us bass players, I mean also Bacci should be careful if he wants to sell basses also. F
hello and farewell dear bass player!
He uses them cause he gets ‘em for free.
5600 pounds eh. To who are they marketing this lol?!
People who drive a Ferrari.
"Dentists" All the cyclists in this crowd will get the reference.
7k ahahaha no man!
sry like the yamaha better hands down
the yamahas aren't baritones...
You overtalk your guest a little too much..
This is just a modern version of the 80s shred wanker. Just cuz it's technically difficult doesn't mean that it's musically pleasing
Coz he gets to paid…
