25 yrs into his career and yet he still looks like a man in his mid to late 20's. Veterinarians have hit harder than most Doctor's because their patients can't tell them where it hurts or help in their own healing process, they depend on us to love and cherish them and people like Dr.Scott help our Animals live healthy natural lives. God bless you for all the little Angels you help heal.
Pectus repair surgery is such a fascinating thing. When I worked in a shelter our doctors did several each year and all the techs wanted to assist on these procedures because they’re unlike anything else. While it’s a risky procedure, watching these kitties go from tired and sluggish to perky and silly in a matter of days is so satisfying.
Thank goodness TJ got him in when she did. Usually that surgery is done between three and ten weeks. The younger the better with remodeling a rib cage like that.
Congrats Dr. Scott on your 25th Anniversary of being a Vet. Such a blessing to be able to work at what you truly love. I've enjoyed watching these episodes and have grown to love animals from this experience. Thanks for all that you do!
Congratulations Dr Scott on a successful 25 year career. What a way to mark the occasion doing a life-saving op you haven’t performed before. Zambi is a wonderful caring haven. Wonderful to see the work they do. Katie/Sadie is so pleased with her new home
Wonderful episode! Dr. Scott performed a miracle for Foxy the kitten with surgery and 3 weeks of healing he can grow up now and have a normal life. Thank you Dr. Scott😺🧡
Only a few weeks ago a young bird flew into our kitchen. Those videos pretty much saved its life - it got itself falling down behind the build-in-broom-closet and into the space undeath it. Only because of these videos I knew to keep quiet when getting to it. Sadly it got caught on the open window (on the wrong side of the glass). But I could grab it out of the air like I saw here at the bondi vet and get it savely to the other side of the pane! Thank you guy for showing me how to correctly save the bird!
Happy 25th Anniversary to Dr. Scott, who doesn't look a day over 25! You are my favorite of all of the vets. The compassion you show for each and every patient you have, whether it is a simple ear infection, or a complicated surgery, is second to none. Our vet could sure use a few lessons on the love and compassion you show. We live in a suburb of Los Angeles, and I look for a new episode every day. Keep up the good work, Dr. Scott from Munchkin and Bleu (our two cats.)
Dr. Scott great 25 years and still loving your work. I hate animals not being taken care of. I have 1 that has allergies and vets tell me fleas even though they don't see any on him. He keeps itching and scratching his hair off his back, ect. But, they keep saying fleas not allergies, even when they see no fleas on him.
All it needs is one flea bite to start an allergy off. Even if you get rid of all the fleas, the allergy remains and needs to be treated. One of my rescue cats had a terrible flea infestation and allergy. My vet gave her a Comfortis pill which worked instantly. The fleas started dropping off her within 20 minutes and it worked very quickly to soothe the irritation from the flea bites. Poor little cat was covered in sores (serious case of neglect). She was another "failed foster" as I adopted her. Comfortis has now been withdrawn from the market and replaced by a different medication which is supposed to work better. I'm in the UK and I know Comfortis is known by a different name in other countries. Even though there are no fleas present, once a cat (or human) starts scratching, it'll just get worse. Also be aware that some foods can cause skin allergies. Have a look at The Cat Site forum. There is a lot of great advice on there.
Thanks I will try to find it. My vet is doing nothing. May have to drive and take to another vet. I live in rural Texas and the next vet is 22 miles away. And it goes up in milage from there.
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like it mattered. I am on Social Security and sometimes it is either getting him or me to the doctor. Right now he is more important.
Dr. Scott you are a miracle worker! Thank God it was you working on that kitten and not another vet-25 years experience & empathy with animals shows in everything you do. I don't know if another vet could have done that surgery. YOU ARE AWESOME! 💞😸🏆🌟
it's not fun for anyone, animal or human, to have an ear infection. I once asked my mom how bad my ear infections were when I was a kid, all she said was I lost a lot of my hearing due to those infections.
Oh sad I hope she or he lives a AMAZING AMAZING life hopefully you guys will take care of him or her and do a lots of bonding together:) but get the towel ready I'm ready to cry:(😭😭😭😭

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge to help me to be a better pet mom to my 4.4 lb. 14 year old Chihuahua/Dauschund mixed breed female rescue named Ladybug. I'm eternally grateful to you.
Dr Andrew Machevski (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly) is a very knowledgeable, efficient and professional veterinarian whom I greatly admire. I know any time major surgery is required Dr. Marchevski will operate.

Dr. Scott I had similar issue with my sternum but not as bad as Fox the Kitten's. My sternum curved inward. It does not affect my breathing. Awesome that procedure pulling his sternum outward then adding temporary plate so his natural plate heals properly.
Congratulations Dr. Scott, God bless you and your beautiful family and thank you for all you continue to do for so many animals - greetings from NYC!! 🥳🎉😄🤗💗🗽🕊️🌷
Just curious, why wouldn’t you perform a tubal ligation or a hysterectomy on these “older” baboons? I would think birth control on an older female would be a health risk just as in humans?
Marty - I thought the same thing! It would be interesting to know what the answer is. Plus it would reduce the risk to the vet and staff of being hurt when they have to insert the contraceptive every year. Baboons can rip you apart.
It's far safer to medicate them than put them under DEEP anesthetic and then through major surgery. Especially as Tubal Ligation doesn't succeed 100% of the time. Definitely safer to medicate with birth control rather than try and keep a baboon from picking stitches that lead to their guts!
Congrats Dr. Scott on a wonderful career spanning a quarter century. So happy that you have a career you love, and makes a difference to pets and owners alike. Here's to another quarter century and beyond. Cheers!!! (Jan Griffiths).
I know it doesn't sound ideal for the monkeys but I think they should physically neuter and spay them rather than implants more long-term and less stress plus it decreases unnecessary cancer chances
Congratulations Dr. Scott on your silver Anniversary of being a terrific Doctor. I love watching you doing these terrific dangerous Surgeries. God bless you.
My boyfriend also had a chest deformity, he had to get it fixed a few years ago as his chest cavity was so small it caused his organs to try and fuse together as they lacked space to properly grow. He's doing way better now though :)
Congrats Dr. Scott on 25 years of practice. It’s great you love what you do and you have so much compassion for animals. You would need to have fr Digbee lol I love your show best.
like the new vet, Rob. being in the same age group, it’s really great to relate to him. plus, he’s really cool 😎 :) Dr Scott - i don’t believe that - wow! 25 years! of course, you’ve still got it, you silly 😋 and fantastic work on little Fox! that was a very tricky operation :) 🐈

WHAT! 25 years? How old is Scott? That's crazy!! He looks fantastic 😁
Dr Scott ages like a fine wine... 😂🧑⚕💙
He started when he was 8 years old. 🙂
I think he's 47 or 48. He was very young when he graduated. He's still young.
i don’t believe that - wow! 25 years! if course, you’ve still got it, you silly :)
fantastic work on the little kitty! :) 🐈
That’s what I was thinking! Australia’s answer to Paul Rudd. 😆
That kitten is absolutely adorable. I hope he is living a long and happy life.
With that loving owner, I think he’s going to have a great life.

Love that Dr Scott does all these other programs and projects but put an animal in front of him and he’s alllll vet.
Scott's kindness and concern for his patients, both two and four legged, will keep him young forever. His being gorgeous doesn't hurt his case at all.
