May I ask what's the purpose for adding corn flour? Some recipes only use Glutinous flour. Pls share your thoughts tks.

Thank you kym for the lovely comment!!❤ cornstarch makes the mochi more chewy but if you don’t have any just substitute it completely with glutinous flour 😊

Hello my friend 🥰 thanks for your comment and yes you are right can use rice flour the only difference would be the texture. Japanese use sticky rice flour to make traditional mochi 💗😊

Please tell me because I’m a bit confused but I really want to make this , at the start of the vid it says 1/2 cup of glutinous rice flour and then later says 3/4 cup so I’m a big confused am I supposed to at abit more rice flour or…. ( I would love to know because they look so nice 🤤😋)

Hello eva thank you for watching ❤ so you will need 1/2 cup glutinous flour for kneading and then the 3/4 cup is for the actual ingredient for the mochi. I have added the full recipe in the description 😊 hope this helps let me know if you have any questions
