I reserved a Cybertruck during the unveiling, and was scheduled for delivery a couple of weeks ago but canceled, traded in my 2017 Chevy Volt, and bought a model X because it qualified for the tax incentives, already has the bugs worked out, and is pretty awesome for $30K less.
Yeah, at this stage that’s not a bad idea. I’m still likely waiting 2 years or more. For myself a Model X won’t do, I’m a farmer.

I bought my refreshed M3 LR paid cash.. but had never even sat inside a Tesla.. after 2 months, I feel it's the best car I've ever driven. Sorry, not a car, but a "computer on wheels"

I switched from a 2019 M3 LR to a M3 RWD 2024, without test driving it first. Man this new M3 RWD is mind-blowing. It is drives incredible smooth and it gives a lot of fun driving experience. Range is about the same as the old Long Range.
WUWA told me that Tom Zhu has returned to Giga Shanghai. He also told me that 5-6 boxes, at the size of a small car were brougt into the Giga Shanghai, but werent unpacked outside, so he couldnt tell for sure, if it was the pilote models of Redwood. If anyone can ramp up production of 25K$ car it would be Tom. Shanghai would also be the place where the production costs are low enough to meet the 25K$ price level.

I could see both 2 and 4 seat versions. FWD with a low floor at rear to make it wheelchair friendly. The rear hatch could open from the top and provide a ramp. You could also load other stuff too like bicycles, hockey equipment, lawn mower, groceries, ect. You might need the 4 seater for people with children because some places they are not allowed in the front. Rear wheel steering might also be good. The # 1 priority is safety. I hate to use the term mini van but in reality they make very good taxi's. For an airport taxi the Model Y or Model X would work well. You choose which vehicle you need and pay accordingly. It’s been said many, many times that Tesla FSD is very well trained on CA roads…I’d expect ESPECIALLY so on major highways.
A half-width 2 seater robotaxi makes perfect sense. It could lane split during rush hours and two cars could drive side by side in one lane.

Matt, I don't understand the whole picture re. copper stripping either. It's a very small return for a lot of physical effort, plus the thieves must purchase shears and strippers and other tools, which are not cheap. Granted, any profits are most likely converted to drug purchases, but still....bizarre.
I'm a current Tesla owner.. bought one in 2022 when test drives really wasn't a thing since it took 6-9 months for delivery. I honestly wish I waited until now when I could test drive it because I would not have purchased the 2022 MY LR if I had test driven it first. It rides so rough, especially compared to the cars that Tesla sells today. But of course, now I'm far too upside down since the resale value for Tesla has been coming down. I agree with you that everyone should test drive prior to purchase for sure.
You bought a sports car and want a Camry. If a car goes that fast it need to corner and brake competently. Start by putting the smallest wheels you can fit on that thing.

Drivers run these to iron out kinks in FSD related to the vehicle.

When Regulation is imminent, you switch ALL production to Cabs (possibly adding a third line?)

"Driven" cabs return to base on the day its approved and are converted to "CyberCAB" mode by unbolting the controls, moving seats, etc.

When the LEASE on the Compacts expires, THEY are converted and added to the fleet (SAME vehicle)

My Model 3 is like 310 miles 90%, 315+ 9%% so we can make 220 miles but sometimes 220 is really 330 miles maybe I can averaging 79 mph, charging an iphone and a gopro and have a light on to record the entire trip at night lol
Matt: I agree with your lane selection critique. FSD 12.3.6 has missed some turns because it didn't change lanes before congestion made it impossible and I missed the turn.

It amazes me that The Tesla Cars have 8 Cameras, but Supercharger Sites, have.... None? Each Stall Could easily have 1-2 Cameras Built in! Motion Detection for Recording Trigger, should be easy enough!

Commercial vehicles that drive long distances whether car or truck need longer range especially when hauling weight.

In Detroit I’ve seen streetlights have the metal access doors at the base stolen. Also manhole covers were a problem. This was back in 2015 or so. But I guess 5 bucks is 5 bucks.

There is already in existance a large number of people that collect and recycle cardboard, aluminum, copper, brass plumbing fixtures, etc. Charging cables are all gravy, lots of copper and not hard to strip with cheap tools. You don't have to strip the insulation off the copper, but you won't get as much per pound for it. Plus, stripping the wires will disguise them if they are stolen. When your cost is almost free, just the cost of time to strip which most will do, demand will be high for any such materials they can get their hands on. In LA, people have been raiding cemeteries to steal the bronze plaques off grave sites.
Impossible drive. If I turn my eyes to the screen for to long, FSD warns me to pay attention. The car must not have the interior camera!
In order to get MORE data from us, TELSA needs to keep the link on the screen longer to press and send why we disengaged the FSD. I find that after disengaging the FSD, spending a few seconds straightening out the issue and getting going where it should have been going, I start thinking about how to say what happened and by then, the link disappears and Ive lost my chance to tell Tesla.

Electricians charge for the line used. All of the 4 inch to several feet of scrap can add to several hundred pounds a month. If they steal enough cabling from companies and job sites they quickly make thousands
Why not have both low cost and more range! That seems like a worthwhile goal to me! Who wouldn't buy a Tesla that's affordable and can go farther! Having them mutually exclusive is dumb!

Cyber truck doesn’t strip away potential model S or model X sales because people who owned S or X would have just continue driving those. Instead, thier old cars will be owned by new owners who will be infected by the Tesla all around experience and be new Tesla customers forever Because after two or three years, they will want to have a new Tesla with the new updates and the new features.

Tesla's head of Cybertruck is out, and unknown if he was part of a layoff, or left on his own. Did Elon lay him off or is he, like so many others, not happy with Elon or Tesla's business activities? Remember folks, many TuberBulls were predicting $400+ share prices in Summer 2023, and would have labeled you a loon for calling it overvalued at $280.
Many of them quit making stock predictions in the last 6 mo, as they recognize the stock value has absolutely nothing to do with what Tezz is or isn't doing. If they were at all related, the stock would be in the $300s now.
Your best option with a Tezz investment is to wait for the next wave of giga-overvaluation and SELL SELL SELL as soon as you feel the wind leaving the bull(💩ers) sails ⛵️
If you like investing in a company whose performance and stock have zero relationship to each other, then enjoy an early grave.
