I stopped guarding my heart from being broken. I just welcome any attempts for someone to break it for i noticed that the process is making me braver, stronger and wiser. Tbh, now that i am not avoiding heartbreak it is not happening anymore. It is so freeing.
I enjoy this confirmation of radical honesty, it’s worked well for me. Admiration , respect, feeling of loyalty, kindness. The dream stays alive. Love is alive and well, again. Communication is so powerful, be yourself if they love you, they will say it. It’s hard to find a truly vulnerable person, be that person. Thank you Susan always good timing and spot on. ❤
The four steps will stop you from leaping into something that isn’t correct and filter the right person. Clarity of what you want. Filtering for who wants what you want. Pace to allow you to slow your impulse and choose wisely communication establishing honesty from the start.
Hi. I always loved your content. Can you help me decide if I should try Match online dating? I'm 54, 5'3", 180 lbs now. I already lost 20 lbs, but keep trying. So I'm older and fat. Is it worth it for me to buy a month membership? I'm also going to church now.
I say keep going you’ll get healthy, and also extend your life. Like Susan says know what you want , step out there.take a chance on yourself using Susan’s advice, it’s sound, and from experience. Best of luck.
True. They are scammers, grifters, con artists, and people that are mentally unwell. that’s why taking time - “pace” assists in the filtering process to eliminate those people
I am in a relationship where sometimes it feels easy and like it is great and other times i question it. He is not a big talker. I do not know how to handle this. If there is conflict, it only gets resolved if i wait and step back and stop talking. Once i keep myself busy with other tasks, then he may reveal something important.
Congratulations on decoding how this individual works. That allows you to make smart choices. You have already discovered the technique to handle conflict. The only question for you to ask yourself is how invested you are in the relationship, and how comfortable are you asking for changes?
Hi there! Since, we live in a highly digitised social media world where only glamour and glitz works and as humans we get attracted by that. How as individuals we go past that attraction and see a person beyond his/her looks or just the outer reality.
We will always be drawn to what is attractive. The trick is to set your focus on the qualities you want to experience in a partner. Then when you see something beautiful for your eyes, ask yourself; will this person be there for me? Will this person support my evolution? Does this person love me and will treat me well?
I appreciate your advice and have practiced it for years. However, you make it sound like it's just a matter of choosing the right one out of all the potential people. I'm a 73 year old man who has been alone for decades. I'm interesting and interested, smart, good looking, kind, have good social skills, but for years at a time I meet no women to even choose from. Maybe it's the age and stage of life I'm in that makes it so hard to even meet a potential partner. I don't get it.
You’re talking about limited selection. I’ve done numerous videos on this topic. And that is a real thing!! no matter how good you are at your partnership skills, if you do not have access to enough viable potential partners, you will not find this type of relationship. This is not a “you” thing. This is a geographic thing. Online dating would really assist you to meet a wider selection of women because truly, I know, senior women looking for a senior man. And they’re all wondering where the good men are!!!
@@SusanWinterso well said! I have been using Match. People are so different in how they live their lives, and in what they want… you really do need to explore lots of possibilities. I have met some wonderful people that just didn’t turn into anything more. But if you’re not continuing to meet more people, you’re never gonna find someone right for you!
@ArthurMullard-t8y hi Arthur. I would love to help you. I would begin by not necessarily starting with young girls… The conversational skills are not as good as somebody closer to your age. The grocery store is ideal for asking questions and seeking the help of a lady. It was easier decades to go when you had a relationship. I know that. I would imagine that your issue is that of "approach" and that that can be tweaked and fixed. But for that you would need to utilize a coach or take a class on approach. I have a feeling once you're in the relationship you know how to handle it.
Clara, I’m really sorry to hear that that’s your experience. Not everybody is partnership ready. But I do know that if you’re very clear on what you want, and you establish communication based on honesty, and you carefully observe somebody’s behavior to see if they’re an inherently good person… You will indeed filter out those that are not good and attract those who are good

@ArthurMullard-t8y whoa, there’s plenty of highly sexual older women out there. Sometimes you have to look outside the box if you know what I mean.
